Excellent location and staff, but terribly disappointing rooms and facilitie
We recently stayed at Constantinos the Great in Protaras, and the hotel is in a truly exceptional location right on the strip. Generally, the outdoor areas are very nice, and the main pool is great. One minor suggestion for the children's pool is that they should install a canopy during the summer to provide some shade for the kids. Also, the staff working in the restaurant (for breakfast, lunch, and dinner) as well as the bar staff were amazing—everyone had an exceptional and polite attitude. The service was top-notch. However, there is a massive issue once you step inside the room. The rooms suffer from incredible humidity. Although we had requested a double bed, we were given two single beds that were heavily used and in terrible condition; they had placed extra mattresses on top because the main mattresses were awful, and the bed sheets were worn out and falling apart. For our 6-year-old child, they provided a camp bed that was worse than what they use in the military—our child woke up with aching bones. Furthermore, the bathroom towels were tragic. It is such a shame that a hotel with such a wonderful location and great staff lets itself down with such poor room facilities. We have stayed here before, but this year's experience with the rooms was truly tragic, and it might well be our last time visiting.

Unwelcoming restaurant
If you’re not on all-inclusive and you need some water, be prepared to pay €3 for a 1-liter bottle at the restaurant — the very same water costs just €0.70 in a shop. And don’t even think about bringing your own bottle to dinner. They won’t let you in with it, even if you’re diabetic and need to have drinking water with you. That’s Constantinos for you. Needless to say, I’ll never be coming back to this unfriendly and unwelcoming hotel. To be fair, though, the reception staff are very friendly.
Not 5 star
Not a 5 star hotel. Room cleaning basic, bedding only changed once on our 11 night stay and that was only after we complained. Food good, pool area good, however sun loungers need replacing as some are falling to bits. Great location, right on the strip and right on the beach front.
Extremely poor service
Certainly not 5 star 3 at the most. Purely and simply because of the service from management, reception and house keeping.. I reported that there was human excitement on the bathroom wall in our room and it took 5 days for it to be cleaned up and that was only when I reported it to the wedding co- Ordinator. House keeping was terrible. Never changes our bed or cleaned the rooms. Only changed the towels when we asked.
summer holidays
We are very disappointed with this hotel. It was very dirty and very old common areas. Only the reception area is newly renovated. The pool area is awful, the pool and sunbeds was very dirty. For sure it is not responding to a 5*** hotel.
