Well what can i say about our stay, we really did love it the staff where great and very helpful, as i have mental illness from being in the forces they helped us out no end with when the loud thumping music would be on. When we wanted to eat in their restaurant they told us when the best time would be to come down before the parties started. The accommodation was a bit out dated compared to most of the new styles but was told they are doing these up during winter, which we can understand so it makes it look the same all over. The food was excellent but did find that there wasn't a lot of local dishes but this is what we normally have when we go away and it doesn't take anything away from how tasty the food was and potion size was great, we would recommended the share plater and when the staff say there would be enough for 4 of you with 1 plate please believe them as we found out. We went in Aug and it was so hot and humid it was horrible to walk in it and even at 21:00hrs was as bad but if that's what you like you would enjoy it so much and don't expect the pool to be cold either lol
We arrived as a couple & with friends on 31st august at 12.50am. We was met in reception by a lovely man who gave us our room key & sorted our air con for us.
We had room 210 which was a superior one bedroom room, the rooms were very modern & lovely. But We did have a couple of gripes which were we had no smart telly there was a remote control for one but no telly on the wall, in the description every superior room should have one. Now we dont go on holiday to just sit in the room & watch telly but we like to put telly on for music while we get ready togo out or if we have a relaxed night in & the fact that we had paid for this room type. The hotel need to be replacing the television so please be aware if you get offered this room. (I did complain to reception about this)
Also the balcony view in room 210 is just of the garden (side view) so if you like a really good view this room isnt for you. We did get an offer to change our room on the 2nd day but we had unpacked by this time, if it had been on the 1st morning when I asked before we had unpacked we would of moved.
Bathroom was a nice walk in shower no hairdryers which i knew before hand so took my own although u can hire these out from reception, no hand soap either.
Pool area is lovely could not fault it & the sunbeds the comfiest we have ever had, but be prepared to get up early to get a sunbed,having to get up between 6 & 7am is ridiculous!
Cjs pool bar..food lovely & the sunday dinner was yummy highly recommend, all the staff 10/10 special mention too T an absolute gem 💎 especially putting up with my husband & my friends when they were a little intoxicated haha a fab sense of humour.
The Pool bar posh jayne with a y makes the loveliest chocolate milkshakes & pina coladas a lovely lady. Entertainment at this hotel was good & in the daytime round the pool. Location 5 mins from strip.
We will be back to protaras!
Don’t even bother. Would have given a 0 if I could . Disgusting isn’t a good enough word to describe this place . Room was a nightmare from the beginning. Dirty, dated and full of ants . Linen looked like it had been walked over. Ants everywhere in the bathroom including the toilet. Random sticky streaks all over the bungalow . We ended up booking another hotel straight away . Couldn’t stay there not even 1 night
Fab hotel, but CJ’s pool bar and restaurant make this hotel. All staff are fab, every meal was gorgeous, brilliant bingo nights. Can’t fault this place at all.
Stayed in the "bungalows" ( which are not bungalows) . I was expecting basic, as I knew they hadn't been renovated, but nothing could have prepared me for this. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment, there was only air con in the bedroom. The temperature gets very high in Cyprus, so this is madness. The other room was like an oven at all times and I had to sleep in there on the pull out bed and used to have the most uncomfortable nights sleep ever. We were given a noisy floor fan which didn't do much. Every time you had a shower, the bathroom flooded, as the shower just had a flimsy shower curtain that didn't hold any of the water in. I was told I could have extra towels to mop up the water. The only way to stop the flooding was to hold the shower head and make sure none of the water touched the curtain. Ants were crawling everywhere, on the bed, kitchen surfaces, bathroom. I had to put the cereal in the fridge otherwise the box would be full of ants. We were given ant spray which helped but didn't stop them from coming. We were half board , the food was very basic. Breakfast was ok, but dinner wasn't great. We were a group of three and none of us were keen on the meals . Usually on holiday we always look forward to the dinner, but not here, we would have preferred to have eaten out everyday if we could have afforded it. Also it was just 1 course, every other half board holiday has been 2 courses. Worst holiday we've ever been on and definitely won't be back!
