The 4-star Anastasia Beach Hotel is set in a beautiful location overlooking the sea near the small peaceful resort of Protaras, which is on the south-east of the island. Extensive grounds lead down to a delightful beach where a wide variety of watersports area normally available.
The food was excellent! Many thanks to the chef for the delicious meals.
Mrs. Despoina from restaurant provided amazing service and truly made our experience special.
However, the hotel could improve its cleaning services, as there is room for improvement in this area.
Good food and great service from a Senior Head Waiter, who’s always on standby and gives you his 100% effort to make your stay great.
The experience was incredible, me and my family liked the location, rooms and the vibe. The service was perfect, people always kind and asking about our comfort. I definitely recommend and plan visiting again. Thanks to everyone, and Σας ευχαριστώ Mr. Pambos. Ďakujeme :)
The stay was fine. Sashka from the staff was always smiling, very helpful, and very kind. Thank You♥️
After reading the reviews pre travel we were a little apprehensive as to what our holiday would be like. I can say we were pleasantly surprised and had a really enjoyable stay.
We arrived late in the evening and were checked in by Joe (Zlost - I think is how you spell his name?) and he was excellent, very friendly and helpful and provided us with all the information we needed for our stay.
As we arrived late in the evening we were given a meal box each of sandwiches and snacks which we thought was a nice gesture.
We were allocated room 102, the room was clean and spacious, even with the camp bed in to make it up to 3 in the room. We had a side view balcony but had the arch of the hotel sign and dome roof as the view but given how little we are in the balcony this didn’t bother us at all.
We did have a couple of minor issues with the room, the camp bed mattress was very thin, it would suit a small child but not a teenager, we were able to get a second mattress which solved this problem. The other 2 issues were that the safe wouldn’t work and the fridge was not working, I went to speak with Joe and he booked a maintenance call for the next morning. The maintenance man came, the safe was fixed immediately but the fridge could not be repaired, a new fridge was required but it was explained to us that the electrical shops do not open on Sundays and so we would have to wait until Monday, sure enough on Monday morning a brand new fridge arrived. I cannot fault how quickly these issues were dealt with.
We found the hotel, whilst obviously an older building, to be tidy and communal areas well maintained. The pool area was clean and the pool was cleaned thoroughly every morning. There are plenty of sun loungers with mattresses for added comfort, we never struggled to get a sun lounger but as we got further in to our stay people (mainly Brits) were getting up early and reserving beds next to the pool and sometimes not using them until the afternoon (we actually saw some people who had reserved loungers on a boat trip that we were on which ran from 10:00 to 13:30!).
The waterpark was really good and we all enjoyed using it, adults and kids alike.
The staff at the pool bar are excellent, we had a good time chatting and having a laugh and joke with them. The staff in the lobby bar were equally as good but we didn’t drink in there very often.
Now the food, I’m not a fussy eater and was able to find something I liked almost every day. The meats, chicken, pork, beef, lamb were all very well cooked and would be in various sauces or on their own. However sometimes the mix of foods made it challenging to put a plate together for children and so we had to buy kids meals off site an a handful of occasions. The food isn’t as bad as people make out, it’s a buffet trying to cater for the tastes of a variety of if international guests so it’s understandable that some days things feel a little bit mixed/different. The biggest negative of the dining room is the drinks service, there are many waiters but only one person takes the drinks orders and so sometimes you would almost have finished a meal by the time your drinks arrived.
We did experience the noise from the Nava Beach events but this was only at weekends.
Outside the hotel there is plenty to keep you busy, a good number of local bars and restaurants and water sports at the beach.
Overall we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay and would return to this hotel for a family holiday.
