Mandalena Hotel Apartments is an exceptional choice for holidays in the tourist area of Protaras for someone who seeks to experience the traditional Cypriot hospitality in a friendly environment. You are almost next to bus stop and 10-minute stroll to an excellent selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The most amazing beaches of the island are just 20 minutes away. Mandalena Hotel Apts has attracted thousands of tourists who appreciated the friendly service, the convenience of spacious apartments with payable air conditioning, and the quiet area where it is located. It is a family owned and run hotel, the best choice for families and couples who look for tranquility and for holidays they will never forget.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had a very lovely stay here. Everything was very clean, functional, nothing fancy, but didn’t expect that as the stay was reasonably priced. Quite area, but close to everything you need. Some noise from the main road if right to it like us, but air con drowned this out. The staff were very attentive and friendly, we felt valued, they allowed us to borrow things we needed without hassle and felt trusted to bring back. Food and drink nice and reasonably priced, I particularly enjoyed (maybe too much) the 3.50 euro cocktail specials. The pool was clean and enjoyable (although the blue tiles that are on show above the water need a deep clean/scrub). Always seemed to be sun loungers and umbrellas free despite other guests always there. Room was very clean, functioning fridge, comfy beds, very nice showers. Extra pillows and blankets in the wardrobe. Fully functioning kitchen which we used. You have pay extra for A/C (5 euros a day) and for the safety deposit box (we didn’t use - didn’t feel need, no issues). We would have liked these to be included in price, to prevent hassle, but we recognise this as a preference. A/C may have given me a cough and might benefit from an extra clean, but couldn’t be sure it was that. Always seemed to be a car parking spot for us. We felt the smell of the towels were abit weird and we ended up changing a couple of times (no issues), not that this meant they were unclean. We felt they would be clean as cleanliness seemed to be a priority for the hotel. Daily room cleans. Check out was 12pm giving plenty of time. Last day the hotel allowed us to chill around the pool all day, letting us hang on to our towels to have a shower before the airport. We loved the whole experience, wish we could have stayed longer, sad to leave. Would certainly return. Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5
Rooms Spacious, functional, very clean, with comfy beds.
Nearby activities Restaurants, bars, shops, beach, famous chapel on a hill. In a car it’s close to lots of beaches and Cape Greco.
Safety Great generally. Only recommendation would be to get a better light in the additional shower in the basement. Too dark to safely wash/shave.
Walkability Beach was about 15 mins walk or 20 mins if walk slow. Local shop within 2 mins walk. Main nightlife 10 mins walk. Some more local bars and restaurants on the
Location superb for buses to protaras and the sea and shops. Atmosphere. Quiet and peaceful friendly. Rooms great tv clean immaculate cleaned every day shampoo shower gel etc. Shower bath. Food fabulous breakfast 8 euros supper 20 euros. Pool.
This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this lovely hotel. It is a peaceful friendly family run hotel. We stayed half board and the food was fantastic. The apartment is large and clean. Considering we were in peak season there was always sunbeds by the pool and never felt crowded. Location it is about 10-15 minutes walk to the strip of protaras. You can walk the other way and about the same distance to Pernera. We will definitely be back.

Large 1 bed apartment, with bath and shower , plus kitchen area, , spotlessly clean. Comfy beds and pillows. Views of the sea and overlooking the pool . Room 315 . We chose to eat at the pool area, food cooked to order, delicious food and large portions . Staff friendly and helpful . 6 of my family , who were staying at an ai hotel next door, chose to eat here as the food was so much better. If you are looking for a relaxing family holiday , then this definitely meets those requirements. Room 320 sleeps 2/3 we had as late room check out room, beautiful large studio room with the most outstanding views . We will be booking again . Bus stop outside , walking distance to restaurants, Bars , beach, shops. Luna park .
Absolutely fantastic apartments and we will definately return. Westayed here for 7 nights and the staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you. The food served at the bar is beautiful and the garlic mushrooms are to die for!!!!. The apartments were spacious and very clean. About a 10 minutes stroll to the main strip. We found a little gem with these apartments and would reccomend highly.
