A lovely looking hotel but is definitely not 5 star ,we arrived quite late and had a drink in the bar leaving suit cases by reception thinking that they would have gone to our room ,no they remained there. the bathroom had green glass sliding doors so you could hear everything and i mean everything! the shower leaked out everywhere so had to barricade this with towels as its not on a slant. No milk or teabags and on pulling the bottom bed sheet back the mattress cover was stained and there was dark long hairs ,spoke to the reception in the morning no apology said they would inform the cleaning team. On returning back later the room had been cleaned and looked much better . But for two days running our room was not cleaned i went down to reception to ask why, they did not know again they just said we will inform the cleaning team . The breakfast was good and had lots of choices the pool is nice but there are tiles missing everywhere even underfoot some one had put about 20 tiles on the side of the pool and they were still there when we left . I think someone should be checking the rooms before the clients arrive this i guess would help with concerns people are having Also the reception staff are devoid of any customer social skills no apologies for any complaints or concerns , when we checked out they just took the key cards off us never even asked us if we had enjoyed our stay. This could be a great hotel if it could get the cleaning sorted and get the reception staff onto some sort of social skills course. i dont normally write on Trip Advisor but felt that it is was not cheap to stay there and things could be improved.
My very short stay at the Radisson Beach Resort Larnaca will be my first and last.
We arrived at 3AM and were treated like we are disturbing the ‘doing nothing time’ of the person at reception. We were sent to our room by ourselves and without even a suggestion to help us with our suitcases it otherwise provide a clear explanation where our room was located. We walked through an exceptionally dirty corridor to get to our room. A very strong smell of wetness and mildew through our to the room is the first thing we encountered Them heavy spots of mildew in the bathroom and on the tapestry walls. It was all the more horrific to find spots of blood and heavy dirt on the bed sheets and on the towels. We could not sleep at all and waited just to leave the place. On top when we asked to stick around the lobby until 2 PM we encountered an unpleasant tone making sure we understand if we do not check out at 12PM we be charged 33% extra for the room. Altogether a terrible place and one that anyone should stay away from .
Very disappointing stay – definitely not the standard I expected from Radisson
We still have another four nights here, but unfortunately, I can already say that I would never stay at this property again.
You would expect a certain standard when booking with a well-known brand like Radisson, particularly as a VIP member, but this has honestly been one of my worst hotel experiences.
I booked a Junior Suite, but the room is extremely different from what was advertised when I made the booking. I decided to let that go, as I didn’t want it to overshadow the rest of our stay.
Unfortunately, the service has been equally disappointing. The staff often appear to have very little time or interest in assisting guests, and there is a noticeable difference in the level of attention given to different guests. As someone who travels frequently, I found this particularly disheartening.
The food has been another major issue. We are staying on a half-board basis, yet the quality of the food across the onsite restaurants has been extremely poor. Almost everything beyond the basic meal is charged separately — even water with dinner — which is particularly frustrating when you are already paying for half board.
I have also repeatedly asked for my membership discount to be applied to charges, only to be told that it cannot be used. As a VIP member, this has been very disappointing.
The condition of the children's pool is also concerning. Approximately 70% of the tiles appear to be missing, which is not what I would expect from a resort of this standard and is particularly worrying when children are using the pool.
To be fair, the hotel itself is visually beautiful and has the potential to be a lovely property. However, good aesthetics cannot compensate for poor service, disappointing food, additional charges at every turn and facilities that appear inadequately maintained.
I travel frequently and have stayed at many hotels within the Radisson brand, but unfortunately this property has fallen well below the standard I expected.
Very disappointed and, sadly, I will not be booking this location again.
What an absolutely awful hotel! The staff are rude and obnoxious. The pool area is a sharp broken tiled death trap. Unsafe for kids and if you fancy an unfinished concrete climb down to the beach then more fool you for staying here. Definitely will not be staying again. Steer well clear. Won’t be hard as the parking is awful..
Stayed with an all meals included service. Breakfast was the only meal worth of our money, and actually got food poisoning after my first lunch there. Also, a 5 star hotel that charges you for simple water (not just on alcohol or soft drinks. Any drink costs money!) is not what I expected. Especially if I am paying for mull meals in my stay.
Other than that, the cleaningness of the hotel was fantastic, and its near sea location is top. The Spa did not deliver a good service unfortunately, with very little professionalism.
