Great location in a quiet, secluded area, which makes the hotel very peaceful. The reservation system for sun loungers and towels for the entire stay is fantastic, so there’s no fighting over a spot on the beach!
The rooms are clean, very well equipped, and cleaned every day. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and they speak many languages.
The food is also delicious, with themed dinners every day. In the evenings, there is live music and various other entertainment.
The value for money is excellent, and I will definitely come back here in the future. I sincerely recommend this place!
Not 5* . Pool left black marks on clothing & on side big black mold rubbed off , rooms tired with moldy shower screens & bathroom doors. Management, pool attendants do not stop any ball games, loud music , bringing in own alcohol or food & Need to act on this, as the signage clearly states this is not allowed!! Sunbeds reservations system dont work, when we arrived there was none available. Some Parasols are in disrepair. Food and beverages on all inclusive were very poor & very slow service, on 1 occasion had to ask 3 times in restaurant for another drink !! As a fish & seafood allergy sufferer often fish was right next to meat dishes & not labelled & scared that tongs or spoons had been used & had to ask often, No salads were labelled either. All staff need to learn to be more friendly & a smile goes a long way, which with a few expectations we saw. One member of staff that stands out above the rest is Vernie , she is exceptional at her job.
We recently stayed at the Golden Bay Hotel for 12 nights. We enjoyed our stay. We were travelling as 2 couples and had superior sea view rooms (although one room was slightly smaller without a sofa)
Both rooms allocated had adjoining rooms so the noise was quite loud and on many occasions I had to knock loudly so the occupants knew we could hear them. Also the rooms were a little dated. Beds were very large and comfortable.
In the bathroom there was no shaving mirror. We knew there was not a separate shower but the bath was very small to stand in and felt unsafe as you were unbalanced. (We are fit and healthy for context)
The cleaning service was excellent and very friendly. We liked the electronic service buttons outside the door and also felt the added security element of the room cards was reassuring.
Breakfast was adequate staff were ok but it was easy to be missed as they don’t seem to have allocated areas they take care of.
We had the in house evening buffet twice. It wasn’t 5*
Great Location with lots of restaurants off site as we were B & B.
The gym is good & spacious but the running machines are not in great condition.
The reception & bar areas were very relaxing inside & out and bar staff great. Also great pool bar.
The Bay is great fun for wave jumping.
The sunbed reservation system is brilliant and works well. The pool staff were very nice and helpful however one of the main reasons we chose this hotel was that it was a quiet hotel with no music blaring. However there were a few instances where some people assume you want to hear their favourite music however I think the pool staff needed to act a little quicker when this occurs.
The pool is nice but a little tired.
If one thing would make me return it would be if they introduced mattresses for the Sunbeds as the Sandy Beach next door has. Other 5* Hotels we have visited has this comfortable facility.
We’ve been coming to Golden Bay two or three times every year, and it always feels like coming home. My family absolutely loves the hotel, especially the beautiful pool area. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful, which makes every stay special. We’ll definitely keep coming back!
I stayed here with a small group (11 adults) for 5 nights at the beginning of September! All of us loved the stay even if, at the beginning, some of us were not enthuziastic when entered the hotel! I do not have a lot of time to mention all the good things about this hotel but I will mention the most important: Food: Tasty food, quite much diversity (not as in top 10 luxury resorts from Antalya, but a good one), large time for breakfast, kunch and dinner. Icecream is fantastic. Beach and sea water: big enough beach, good policy for keeping the umbrella and sunbeds, the seawater was perfect (warm and with perfect depth) Personnel: fantastic personel. Anna from reception, Irina and Aurora from restaurant, the housekeepers, Mateos from PoolBar, etc Rooms: the elevators, hallways are OK, the rooms are big but mostly 4* than 5* but they are absolutely ok. Pools: one small pool for children, one outdoor and one indoor pool for everybody. Both big pools have also Jacuzzi Reception: is not impressive but is ok, more 4* than 5* Restaurants: very nice, especially the Taverna. The breakfast restaurant is quite old but is ok. The Pool/Lunch restaurant is a little more modern. Bars/drinks: Limited types of imported drinks (Famous Grouse is a good scotch), very good local prosseco and uzo. Othet common areas: small aquapark with 2 hours/day program, huge and new fitness areas, good SPA, tennis fields One last and important thing: the management of this hotel is run by HUMAN BEINGS. One of the people from my group had a stroke followed by a surgery 2 days before check-in. 80%-90% of the hotel managements would apply full penalty. Is not the case, the staff of the hotel helped us to not lose all the money! Thanks, Irini Filimianova! Overall, I really recommend this hotel.
