This was our ninth or tenth consecutive summer holiday to the Golden Bay Beach Hotel, and whilst one of the more older hotels in the Larnaca area, we’ve never been disappointed. From our experience, you will not find another hotel in Larnaca, where guests receive such a warm, congenial and friendly welcome, and commitment to customer service and satisfaction. The entire hotel team once again made our holiday truly memorable. Additionally, we were incredibly grateful to Ms Irini Filimianova, the Rooms Division Manager, for the thoughtful accommodation arrangements, in allocating rooms close to our friends on the same floor and approving a room extension on the day of our departure.
My wife, dear friends and I were once again hugely impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the entire hotel team. They truly embodied the hotel’s best qualities. As always, it was a pleasure meeting many of the staff we’ve befriended over the years. They’re always friendly, welcoming, attentive and utterly professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our frequent chats and friendly banter with the restaurant manager and ringmaster of all about him, Mr Kyriakos, Nicos Panayiotov and the entire restaurant team. While many of the hotel team deserve a special mention, special thanks go to: Vernie, Patricia, Donna, Lucas and the poolside attendants Peter and Tony for their friendship, constant politeness and hard work. We also thoroughly enjoyed the ever-friendly, hardworking and jovial pool bar staff, Elecktra and Nikita, as we explored the entire cocktail menu. Choosing our next drink was a lot of fun thanks to their ingenious ‘lucky dip’ system! Finally, we must praise the housekeeping staff for their tireless efforts in keeping our rooms and the hotel immaculately clean and tidy. Their impeccable housekeeping services exceeded our expectations, the hotel was always spotlessly clean.
The green card system for reserving a sun lounger throughout your holiday, is an excellent system. It eliminates the early morning rush to the pool, where you scramble for a lounger. As always, meeting up with fellow guests we’ve met over the years is a key part of our holiday enjoyment.
Over the years, we’ve grown to know the Hotel Manager Mr Anthos Asmrnis very well. He’s truly the best hotel manager we’ve ever encountered on our worldwide travels. His exceptional leadership and communication skills allow him to personally know every member of his team. His guest-centric approach shines through even amidst his busy schedule. Mr Asmrnis never missed a chance to check on our and the other guests’ well-being. Thank you.
While I hope I’m not being overly critical as other guests and reviews suggest (with constructive criticism in mind), the hotel rooms are always immaculately clean and tidy. However, they’re dated and in need of refurbishing, which I believe is scheduled for next year. Breakfast and lunch were always excellent with plenty of choice, but the buffet food at a number of the themed nights became somewhat repetitive. As other guests had mentioned, the pool area is tired and in need of repair. We and number of other guests noticed black marks on our bathing costumes from the pool’s sides below the waterline and the waterfall area was covered in algae with loose stonework.
From our arrival to our departure, my wife, friends and I experienced exceptional customer service. Every day of our holiday the entire hotel team truly went above and beyond to ensure our holiday was enjoyable and memorable. We had such a great holiday, we’re already looking forward to returning in summer 2027.
Our holiday might be over, the memories remain.
If you’re looking for an amazing place in Cyprus with beautiful views, a clean beach, and delicious food, I would definitely recommend this hotel!
The hotel is very clean. It’s not the newest one, but the bed was honestly one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in.
However, the biggest advantage is definitely the staff -from the reception team to the managers. I was organizing a large congress at the hotel, and they were incredibly helpful, supportive, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Their attitude and level of service were truly amazing!

Stayed here for the first time with the family, we regularly visit Larnaca and stay nearby. So glad we picked the Golden Bay. At check in our rooms were not quite ready and the management gave us a lunch voucher to use whilst we waited which wasn’t very long, now that’s great management, so appreciated after a very early start and flight. I had sent an email with a few room requests which the hotel provided, couldn’t be happier. Our rooms were lovely, bed very comfortable, some new room furnishings would make a good additional along with upgrading the bathrooms. The balcony was large and Oh my goodness the sea views were gorgeous. Lobby, bar area and breakfast rooms very clean and staff attentive. Pool bar excellent service and we could order food at lunch if we wanted to and it was boxed hot for us to enjoy at our sun beds. Being able to reserve our sun beds was a game changer, why do not all hotels offer this? No early wake up alarms to grab sun beds, breakfasts were very enjoyable. The garden and beach areas were very clean, pool attendants look after you, plenty of umbrellas. An upgrade on the pool itself would be beneficial as some parts are very dated. We will definitely return, do not hesitate to book the Golden Bay.
With being going there for the Last 6 Years because Excellent food and facilities and Brillant staff, always there to help, And always cleaning everywhere no stop. Just get yourself a drink by the pool bar and chill.
From the moment you arrive at the hotel a warm welcome awaits you from Ann and the team, check in was smooth, you receive your wrist bands and sunbed reserve notices, these notices allow you the same bed for the duration of your stay, none of the nonsense of putting towels out at stupid o’clock. After checking in we went straight to the rooms ours overlooked the tennis courts and the sea. The room was spotless with all the amenities you need for a holiday stay. There is a great selection of drinks available from the bars, be it, by the pool or in the hotel lounge both offer great service. The hotel offers two main restaurants breakfast and dinner are in the upper-level overlooking the pool and other offers lunch and snacks which is situated by the pool side. Both restaurants are overseen by Kyriakos who ensures all runs smoothly. Outdoor entertainment is provided in the evening with a different act each evening, don’t miss out on the Greek dance night, which you can join in if you wish. Which brings me to the staff, all are lovely and friendly always ready to help, but I would like to mention a few (not all it would be too many) but our thanks to Ann (Reception) Lucy and Vernie (Restaurant) and Peter and Tony (Poolside)
