Wonderful experience, spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful staff, food - breakfast and superb dinner with a large selection of dishes, lots of different fresh fruits. Aya Napa is beautiful, the beach near the hotel is ok, but we stayed more often at Nissi beach, which is famous and you can walk to it. The hotel deserves a star more. All recommendations.
From going through the doors to reception the first person we met had everything and explained all we needed to know the food was varied and well presented delicious cleaning staff working hard and the staff behind the bar were all very friendly both my wife and I have been to Cyprus over 30 times and would have no hesitation in going back to the hotel Stamatia.
Not long back from a week at the Stamatia Hotel, check in was flawless you kindly left some food in the fridge for as we arrived late, the food at the hotel is very good we have been to many AI hotels yours is up there with the best, plenty of very tasty food for everyone and always very well cooked, the room was very nice, although the sea view I paid extra for was a little disappointing as I needed a telephoto lens to see the sea but I suspect that is Thomas Cook over exaggerating the experience and it wasn't cheap through them for that extra special room. The pool area is very nice and quite chilled, it's a relatively small pool but the lifeguard really needs to start and manage the sunbeds the amount of beds with towels in them and no one in sight we never actually sat around the pool all week which was quite disappointing as the rest of the hotel facilities were excellent. Thanks to your staff working extremely hard this is a in the main a very nice hotel with excellent food and very comfortable beds we never experienced any hassle from the young people in the hotel as this was dealt with straight away by your staff including stopping the bikini clad girls trying to access the restaurant, well done. Thanks for a nice week away.
Very clean and well maintained, exellent food. The staff very polite
The hotel is in a great location, close to the beach, and the common areas and rooms are cleaned daily. Breakfast has a good variety, but the staff repeatedly tried to clear our plates before we had finished, which was very unpleasant. The worst experience was with an afternoon-shift receptionist (initial R.). She gave my travel companion’s private phone number to an unknown tour guide from Romania, who told us herself where she got it. Instead of apologizing, the receptionist said we probably “expose ourselves on Facebook anyway” and even told me to call the police if I wanted. Extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. Our room was also disappointing. It was sold by the agency as a “Superior Family Room” for 3 adults, but was actually a basic room with one double bed and a bunk bed. The room was extremely small, with insufficient storage and barely enough space for two people to pass each other. There were also dirty curtains and torn towels. When we complained to the agency, the receptionist falsely claimed that we had never reported the problem and on the 8th day we got an option to get shaky military bed insted of bunk bed. The luggage scale is also inaccurate. The only positives were the location and the small balcony with a partial sea view and the polite men in the bar from Nepal or India. Overall, the receptionist’s lack of professionalism and dishonesty left a very bad impression.
