With flumes, a lazy river, space bowl, wave pool and more. Enjoy lounging at the nearside sun loungers and making use of the pool bars whilst the little ones have a big splash around.
Treat yourself to some alone time at the hotels jacuzzi, sauna, massage parlour or fitness centre. There is also a volleyball and basketball court if you feel up to it.
The animation programme runs seasonally throughout the day for the whole family, including shows several nights a week and special theme buffet nights.
Rooms are modern and spacious. All rooms are equipped with a range of facilities to help make you feel right at home. Room booked was a higher level room with pool view for 3 adults.
We are regular visitors to the Cyprus island and have stayed in many hotels, we know that the holiday village was 3 stars and has been taken over by the Atlantica hotel chain so we didn’t expect a 5 star service but we have left an honest review.
Positive points: location of the hotel is quite central to Ayia Napa busy night life, next to the fair, entrance is by the bedrock bar and restaurant. We would say about 30% of the staff were very helpful and pleasant to speak with, the reception, pool bar, some restaurant staff worked hard and still managed manners and a quick chat as well. The pool bar location had a grass area with sun beds and a sea view in the distance which was nice and quiet away from the busy pool, you could walk from there to the footpath leading to Musan and nissi beach but a good long walk. The gardens around the rooms were well looked after and the plants were very pretty. The pool water was always clean and the chlorine wasn’t much on the eyes or skin either.
Negative points: after the take over, the rooms, walk ways, front access to the hotel, pool bar garden area are looking the worse for wear, Not painted, broken signs, the room front doors are worn down to wear you can put your finger through the door , they we’re painting over customers at the pool bar when you was trying to enjoy a relaxing drink, the road entrance has rubbish and biffa bins overloaded, it’s all looking shabby with no money spent just a quick fix and open up for the season 🤔
Bar and restaurant service was quite good for a 3 star, the usual buffet food with a decent breakfast, lack of beef and chicken on my most days or have a fish and meet option the same day, lots of people walking around with bare feet, tops off and i didn’t find many hand sanitizer stations, drinks were quite slow to be brought to your table, the head a head waiter standing around basically doing nothing and helping himself to chicken nuggets, but some staff worked hard.
Room cleaning was terrible, maids did what they could do but minimal English language and followed around by supervisors with clipboards and put under pressure, I would say I room was cleaned twice with one bed sheet change after a family member looked like they were getting bites over them and needed treatment from the local pharmacy, we requested a room clean from reception which didn’t happen until 48 hours later.
The pool area was totally rammed with sun beds and the main sun and pool locations were taken by 8am, you could literally touch the person’s hand next to you, obviously being a family hotel lots of children enjoying themselves but pushchairs and prams also rammed into the sun beds and dont leave any things by the side of the pool as they get stolen, the grass area by the pool bar had grass growing over the sun beds and not cut.
On the 29th of August we had a major storm, hats off to the hotel to help customers and families with opening areas inside the bar and being totally flat out serving people, thank god we had a hire car to get away, the entertainment team were there but we never got involved much so can’t leave any comments, didn’t see them going around and getting people in etc I could be wrong.
The hotel needs money spent and staff to be trained adequately in all hotel service areas, book this hotel if you want a base for a good price but don’t expect high quality as the hotel needs time to grow but we wish the company and staff all the very best for the coming seasons. Thank you
Unfortunately, our experience at Panthea Holiday Village was very disappointing. The hotel describes itself as child- and family-friendly, but honestly, it did not feel family-friendly at all.
There were many extremely drunk British guests who were constantly shouting, stumbling into tables and chairs, and behaving very inappropriately in common areas, even when other families and children were around. Their behaviour was often rude, disrespectful and simply over the line.
What makes it even more disappointing is that the staff clearly know when the behaviour goes too far, but choose not to do anything about it. There seems to be very little effort to make other guests feel comfortable or to ensure that the hotel remains a family-friendly environment.
People are obviously allowed to enjoy their holiday, but there should still be basic respect and consideration for other guests. Unfortunately, this had a significant impact on our stay, and we would not recommend Panthea Holiday Village to families looking for a peaceful and genuinely family-friendly holiday.
Extremely Poor Hygiene and Housekeeping – Reza Was the Only Positive
Our stay at Panthea Hotel was deeply disappointing and completely unacceptable. During the entire 6–7 days we stayed there, there were dead cockroaches in our room. They were not removed, which says a great deal about the hotel’s hygiene standards.
Housekeeping only attended our room on approximately three days during the whole stay. Even then, the cleaning was inadequate. The duvet cover was already dirty when we arrived, and it was not changed or properly washed during our stay.
The hotel also appears to employ very young and inadequately trained staff. Unfortunately, several of them did not perform their duties properly and were unable to communicate in basic English, which should be a minimum requirement for employees working with international guests at a hotel.
The only genuinely positive part of our experience was Reza. He treated us with respect, kindness and professionalism and provided excellent service. He deserves recognition, a well-earned pay rise and a big pat on the back.
Management urgently needs to address the hotel’s hygiene, housekeeping, staff training and communication standards. Guests should never have to spend an entire holiday in a room containing dead cockroaches and dirty bedding.
Had a fantastic week here. The staff are super friendly throughout the whole resort. Special mention to those on the pool bar. They worked so hard yet always had a smile and had friendly chat. Pool is long and you could always get a bed without having to get up at silly’oclock to put towels down. Beds were very close together but if that’s the compromise I’ll take that. Food was very decent in a clean and well air conditioned main restaurant. Snacks were good too. Decent beer and soft drinks as well as cocktails on the all inclusive menu. Would definitely return and may well do next year. Decent location, far enough from lovely parts but not too far either. Reading some earlier reviews it looks like it’s been taken over in the last couple of years and for the better. No complaints at all from us!
Just got back from a week staying here with a group of friends and we had the best time! The hotel itself is really nice, and our room was spacious & comfortable. We had a lovely view from the balcony too.
The drinks selection was good, Hugo Spritz hallelujah!! and the snack bar was really tasty for grabbing food during the day. The evening buffet didn't have the biggest selection, but what was there was still nice. The mornings we actually managed to get up for breakfast, it was yum.
The pool is nice and big, with lots of space to relax. The location is perfect as it's only about a 5–10 minute walk to the main strip/square, so it was perf for nightlife! There are also loads of shops, restaurants and places to eat nearby.
All of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we had an amazing week and I'd definitely recommend , especially if you're going as a group of friends! I miss it!! Live laugh love napa. Defo returning.
