We stayed in the Olympic Bay for the first time for years and loved it! Right by the beach, lovely sea view from every room. So peaceful. It’s so clean and just a little bit of quiet pool music during the day. Bliss!! Great service from Stavros and all the other staff at the bar and kitchen, thank you so much. The à la carte breakfast and lunch, just fantastic. You go over the road to the main hotel for dinner so best of both worlds. But if you want to you can go to the main hotel at any time. But we mainly stayed at the Bay and we really did have the best week!
ROOM: Stayed for 7 days in swim up in Fisherman's Village. Room wasn't the biggest but had a 4 poster and big bathroom. TV had English channels. Bathroom has Elemis products (hand wash, moisturiser, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner) Sheets changed every other day. Mini bar with soft drinks, no beer but that could be because a waiters brings drinks. The patio had 2 sun loungers and a table and chairs. Room is 2 min walk from buffet and swim up pool bar.
FOOD: buffet brekkie was great, lots of choices and a menu for ordering omelette, pancakes and poached egg dishes. Buffet for dinner and tea was nice, there was ameat station that did beef and yorkies, gammon, roast pork and those meats were delicious. They did themed nights and Italian was really nice. We ate at the Orchard and recommend the pork belly. Service was great. Ate at the Italian, food was nice, restaurant was a bit odd as they done so well when decorating the other restaurants to the specific theme but this one just didn't look like a Italian. The entrance area looked oriental and the rest of it just looked like a room with tables. They could really improve this space. Ate at Captains Deck, service was slow but food was nice. I would've bother with the Italian if I went back The American diner did a lovely chicken ceser salard. Didn't try the burgers, staff were great and great themed restaurant. There is a snack bar thar does sarnies, salards, pasta, pizza, hotdogs, cakes. There is an ice cream shop where you can tubs, cones milkshakes, bottled water
DRINKS: The cocktails were some of the best ive had at an all inclusive. They add garnishes to all drinks, even apple slices to an apple juice. Nice touch.
POOLS: the sun loungers are the best we've seen, big thick cushions, really comfy, the towels hopk over the end of the chair so you dont need to peg the towels on. Full length towels cover the whole chair. Chairs are allocated, at the towel station there is a screen and is shows all the loungers, red means they're taken and green available. I personally prefer the old fashion get up early and pick a chair as all the poolside chairs are taken all week.
Pools are clean, good temperature. Daily activities are a bit repetitive.
The swim up bar is separate and for adults only, lovely pool with jacuzzi seating areas. As a short person id prefer some shallow areas but was great.
Lazy river was a nice touch, takes prob 20 mins to get round. Can go on a single ring or a double
ENTERTAINMENT: there is a band most evenings with a great singer. We didn't go to the evening shows but we poked our head in and its a great set up.
GYM: big gym, good equipment. Air con could be cooler but not bad for a hotel gym. Water and towels in there
Walked to the beach, was about 5-10 min walk away. Is a public beach and you can hire towels and an umbrella for €6.50. Sand is nice, water really clean.
Staff everywhere were friendly (a lot of expats work there) they remember your drink preferences which is nice
Got a taxi to Ayia Napa (€15 each way) the taxis are stretch limousines. Didn't think it was really worth the trip, great for a night out no doubt but not so much a day out
It seems like a lot of people return to the hotel, if you're a returner you get a different wrist band.
We would return but only if we could stay in the Fisherman's Village again with a swim up as anything other would seem like a downgrade
Fantastic resort, the staff are friendly and professional, we found the resort is kept clean and tidy. The choice of food in all the restaurants is great. Some you need to book in advance. There was a group who were a bit rowdy, but staff quickly dealt with them.. Great system with the sun beds, you can book and get allocated them when at the resort, no more getting up just to put the towels out. Great to be three pin uk plug system. This is the second time we have used this resort over eleven years, same high standard as the first time we used it. Will definitely use again.
Have just enjoyed ten nights in a family junior suite with private garden pool garden view. We were four adults, my children are 19&21 and we found this family suite great accommodation as it’s two proper single beds in a sliding door section of the room near the patio doors, and having the private patio and garden with table chairs and loungers gave us extra space and places to sit when all four of us were at the room. We booked the à la carte restaurants on the app the week before we arrived, each of them in the first week and then a repeat of one of them as in a ten day stay you can go to each twice (it’s a once a week allowance for each). The app just books for the room ie all four of us, but on arrival we tweaked a couple of them to just the two of us as our kids (adults) preferred to go to the buffet or rock and roll diner. Our favourite for all of us mixed tastes was The Greats. Our favourite as a couple was Captains Deck to try the Cyprus foods and you are given it all so get to try lots of different things you maybe wouldn’t have ordered if it was a menu choice. All the food at this resort is great. There’s a couple of stand out things for this resort that are better than other similar resorts we’ve been to…on top of lovely room, great food, great service, beautiful grounds…
We recently stayed at the Olympic Lagoon in Cyprus and it genuinely ranks among the best 5-star resorts we've experienced. Great value for what you get, especially compared to similar resorts in the area.
The resort has a huge footprint — plenty of space to explore and never feels crowded. It's a nice walk to either the marina or Ayia Napa, so you've got options if you fancy heading out for the evening or exploring a bit further afield.
With 5 restaurants on-site, there was always plenty of variety, and we never ran out of places to try during our stay. The gym was excellent too — genuinely impressive for a resort, with a good range of equipment. We also loved the adults-only area, which made for a nice, relaxed retreat away from the busier parts of the resort.
As for the all-inclusive package — hands down the best we've seen. The drinks menu was extensive and, unlike a lot of resorts, actually included proper branded drinks rather than watered-down alternatives or a "pay extra for anything decent"
The staff were another highlight — genuinely friendly, attentive, and always happy to help, from the restaurants to the pool bars. Nothing felt like a chore for them, and it made a real difference to the overall experience.
Overall, a brilliant resort that delivers on pretty much every level — highly recommend.
