We have recently returned from our annual trip to Olympic Lagoon and, as ever, had a really enjoyable stay. We can safely say that the staff are as friendly and helpful as ever, and the quality of the food remains exceptionally high, especially at Seven Orchids and The Greats.
This year it felt as though there were fewer wedding parties, which made for a quieter atmosphere, particularly around the pool bar in the late evenings. Upon reflection, I think we actually preferred it this way, as it created a more relaxed environment and lessened the impact of large groups.
A really welcome addition has been the band that now performs in the early evening at the pool bar. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time there before heading off for dinner. All of the musicians are incredibly talented and create a relaxed, inclusive and intimate atmosphere that appeals to guests of all ages.
With regard to the entertainment team, it was lovely to see both familiar and new faces. They all go above and beyond to create a welcoming environment, and there is never any sense of pressure to participate in activities, unlike at some other hotels. They do a fantastic job of keeping guests of all ages entertained throughout the day with a variety of activities that people can join if they wish.
However, we do feel it is now time for the evening shows to evolve and be refreshed, particularly looking ahead to 2027. As frequent visitors, we can almost predict what show will be on, and when, before our holiday even begins. While we appreciate that the entertainment programme must appeal to a broad audience, much of the current line-up has remained largely unchanged for a number of years.
The talent within the entertainment team is unquestionable, but it feels as though they would benefit from the opportunity to showcase something new and more contemporary. Shows such as the Jersey Boys and Cher tributes are well performed, but they have become very familiar and, for guests staying two weeks, are repeated during the same holiday. There is a real opportunity to modernise the programme and introduce a greater variety of themed productions, such as an Ibiza Classics night, Oasis, Spice Girls, Britpop, or an 80s spectacular. These types of shows would likely resonate with younger adults and repeat guests while still maintaining broad appeal.
For my partner and me, we have increasingly found ourselves leaving the main stage after the children's disco and opting instead for the live music around the pool bar. That is a shame because the entertainment team are clearly talented performers. The issue is not with the cast, but with the need for fresh material and a more diverse programme. We genuinely believe that updating the evening entertainment should be a priority for 2027 and would significantly enhance the experience for returning guests.
We understand from poolside conversations that the bar areas are due to be regenerated over the winter, so we look forward to seeing the improvements when we inevitably return next year.

5 stars for entertainment , evening shows were great , would give 6 stars for Cher and mama mia
plenty of pools , easy gradual incline to some of them making it’s easy for disabled access, as is most of the resort as ramps are there where needed .
Food great variety , we are vegetarians and had plenty to eat for all 3 meals at the buffet . Also had a superb meal in the greats restaurant, was only able to book 2 during my team here, tip book as early as possible .
Having your sunbeds allocated makes the days so much more chilled , genius idea , wish more hotels would do this , so you can relax more in the mornings and if you pop down to the beach which is a 5 minute walk.
Swapping your beds to another location is such an easy process , ( we changed twice ) .
If you have anyone in a wheelchair , ensure you get a disabled room as ours came with a bath ( this was completely my fault for not requesting ) but not an issue as I can lift my son in .
App is super informative so you know everything going on .
If I had to think of some improvements in anyway it would be better if premium drinks were included in the drinks package , and they had service around the pool .
Staff have all been amazing and friendly would recommend this hotel to everyone .

Room, comfort & layout I stayed in a Deluxe Room with a field view, and I loved the spacious layout and elegant, modern design. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, giving me a wonderfully restful sleep. My favorite feature was the glass bathroom partition with electronically operated white privacy blinds—such a clever and luxurious touch that made the room feel even more open and sophisticated. Everything was immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Definitely worth the money, and I can’t wait to return with my grandchild.
Olympic Lagoon Ayia Napa is a fantastic hotel with everything you could want for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. All the pools are freshwater, the lazy river is gorgeous, and the sunbed reservation system works really well.
The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating, making you feel welcome throughout your stay. The food was excellent, with the themed nights all being impressive and offering plenty of choice.
The evening entertainment was a real highlight — full-on productions that were genuinely impressive and made the nights special. Our favourites were Mamma Mia & The Greatest Showman!
A brilliant hotel with great facilities, fantastic hardworking staff, delicious food and outstanding entertainment. Truly deserving of its 5 stars!
Beautiful, clean, welcoming hotel. Perfect location. 5 minute walk to Landa beach from the hotel which was the next beach over from Nissi beach. Amazing choice of restaurants and the food in the buffet restaurant was exquisite. Our room was spacious and cleaned daily. The only downside was the view - there wasn’t any.
