I have stayed in many hotels, but I can truly say that I have never experienced staff like the team at NissiBlu. Their kindness, care, and willingness to help us were beyond anything we expected.
We came to Cyprus for our wedding, and unfortunately, there was a mistake with our reservation — our tour manager had booked the hotel for the wrong month. We arrived from the airport extremely tired and stressed, and instead of simply telling us there was a problem, the staff did everything they could to calm us down and make us feel better. They welcomed us with champagne and cocktails and genuinely tried to bring back our excitement and make this special time happy again.
They also helped us arrange our room again and did their best to keep the price close to what we had originally booked. We cannot thank them enough for how they handled the whole situation. We felt that they truly cared about us, not just as hotel guests, but as people celebrating one of the most important moments of our lives.
And the hotel itself is wonderful! The breakfast is excellent, the pool area is beautiful, the service is great, and there are so many things to do that you simply cannot get bored.

This was my third stay at NissiBlu Beach Resort, this time in September, and once again everything was wonderful. The staff are exceptional, from reception and the restaurants to housekeeping, always welcoming, friendly and professional. The experience starts as soon as you arrive, with a lovely welcome and a choice of lemonade or Prosecco. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and offer beautiful views. The pool area is fantastic, with a jacuzzi, a great bar serving all kinds of drinks, and it never feels overcrowded. Nissi Beach is only a two-minute walk from the hotel.
The breakfast buffet is incredible, with everything you could wish for: pancakes, crêpes, croissants, different kinds of bread and pastries, juices, coffee, omelettes, scrambled eggs, a large selection of cheeses and much more. Dinner is equally impressive, with a different themed buffet every night, making you feel as though you are travelling somewhere new each evening — Mediterranean, Mexican, seafood, barbecue, local cuisine and more. The choice is very generous and everything is delicious.
The location is also extremely convenient. Stathis Supermarket is just opposite the hotel and has everything you might need, including food, gifts, clothes and hats. The bus stop is nearby, and for only around €2 you can reach Ayia Napa harbour in about 10 minutes. You can also enjoy beautiful walks along the seaside promenade, all the way past Nissi Beach towards Makronissos, or in the other direction towards Vathia Gonia.
One of my favourite places in the hotel is the cigar lounge — it feels almost like therapy! Comfortable couches, relaxing music, a beautiful view and a different entertainment programme in the evenings, with pianists, violinists, singers and more. The staff there are wonderful, especially Mr Petros, whose kindness and hospitality make the stay even more special.
After three stays, NissiBlu continues to be a hotel I truly enjoy coming back to. Wonderful staff, excellent food, beautiful surroundings, a perfect location and a relaxing atmosphere. A perfect hotel in every way, and I will definitely be back!
Unfortunately, NissiBlu did not live up to our expectations of a five-star hotel.
One of the first things to be aware of is that the hotel does not have a private beach. Nissi Beach is public, and sun loungers and umbrellas are charged separately (€10 per day during our stay). In comparison, the neighbouring Nissi Beach Hotel provides its guests with free sun loungers.
The pool and beach areas are also very crowded. If you want to get a sun lounger, you basically have to get up early and reserve one around 7:30 a.m. By later in the morning, it is very difficult to find a free one. This is not quite the relaxed experience we expected from a five-star resort.
The room was another disappointment, particularly when it came to sleep quality. The soundproofing is extremely poor. We could clearly hear conversations and people moving around in neighbouring rooms, as well as staff working in the corridors. We ended up wearing earplugs throughout our entire stay. The mattress and pillows were also uncomfortable and did not feel appropriate for a hotel of this category.
The carpets in the corridors looked rather dusty and could definitely use better maintenance.
There were visible signs of mould in the bathroom, and there was a noticeable damp smell in the room. The bathroom ventilation system comes on automatically and is surprisingly loud at night. On top of that, the TV turned itself on every night at midnight and again at 3 a.m., displaying a welcome message. Needless to say, this was not particularly helpful when trying to get a good night’s sleep.
The poolside café was another disappointment. We ordered a Caesar salad for €17, which was served in a takeaway container. The presentation, quality and taste did not match the price or what we would expect from a five-star hotel.
The public areas also did not always feel like those of a five-star property. The lobby has rather basic-looking upholstered furniture and a lot of artificial plastic plants. Around the pool, many of the sun loungers were visibly stained and looked quite worn from heavy use.
Overall, the hotel simply did not deliver the level of comfort, service and attention to detail that we expected from a five-star resort.
We had a lovely stay at Nissiblu Beach Resort and we really enjoyed our time there.
A special mention to Iasonas at reception, who made a very good impression on us from the very beginning!! He was welcoming, polite, and he had an amazing smile. I had a very tiring day at the airport when we arrived, and his kindness and understanding made me feel much more comfortable. He also gave us useful information about the hotel and the area and he was always happy to assist. The reception team at this hotel is excellent!!
We also enjoyed the restaurants and pool area. The food was very good, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The pool was a relaxing place to spend time, with a pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff.
Overall, we had a great stay at Nissiblu Beach Resort and we hope to come back again!!
