Lying amidst idyllic surrounds, this popular hotel is located at the heart of Amathus just 200 m from the local pebble beach that may be reached by using the hotel underground passageway. Links to the public transport network (bus lines), restaurants, bars and shops as well as the fascinating ruins of the ancient royal city are to be found nearby.
Renovated in 2023, this 4-storey hotel comprises 202 rooms and was recently refurbished to cater for guests' every requirements- business guests as well as holidaying families. Facilities include a vast foyer, a reception desk, a bar, a café, an Internet corner and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant in addition to a hairdresser's salon and a souvenir shop.
The tastefully decorated rooms each come with a bathroom or a walk in shower, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, Internet access, a minibar/ fridge, air conditioning, central heating, a hire safe and a balcony. Guests may opt for a room facing inland, with side-on views or direct views out over the sea.
In the outdoor complex is a pool complex with a poolside snack bar, sun loungers, parasols and bath towels that have been laid out ready for use (complimentary). Further leisure options include a artificial grass tennis court (floodlighting; equipment hire for free) and table tennis, whilst various water sports are on offer on the beach. Darts may be played within the hotel and there is also a sauna to take advantage of(with additional fee). During the summer, the daytime and evening entertainment programmes provide some amusement for guests.
Guests may select their breakfast from an ample buffet; those who opt for an all-inclusive stay may choose between a selection of warm and cold snacks at several times of the day. In addition, those guests wishing to undertake an all-day excursion are offered a lunchbox service.
Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as a health club, an outdoor pool and an indoor pool. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and gift shops/newsstands.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
An absolutely stunning place to relax for a week. The location is spectacular with a beach just across the road. A very chilled out resort with some good evening entertainment including silent discos and singers. Our room was perfect, clean with a mini bar refreshed daily and a stunning view of the sea from our balcony. In terms of value for money you couldn't ask for more, poolside and lobby bar table service, two lovely a la carte restaurants, a buffet restaurant which was more like dining in a normal restaurant, plenty of food to choose from and it was all delicious. You can hear some traffic during the day, but personally we didnt find it intrusive. All the staff are extremely professional, friendly and helpful with some activities like Cypriot Coffee making and wine tasting which were fun. A bus to and from Limassol stops right outside the hotel. It is only €2 each way and is well worth it. A few people we talked to said they'd been visiting for over 20 years. It's easy to see why, ive already recommended it to my friends, and I'll be only too happy to return
My husband and I booked this last minute, although we read some reviews that were mostly positive we didn't expect it to be so good. Firstly the hotel itself is a nice size, not too big or small, kept immaculate and our room was a good size, very clean with all the amenities you need. The staff who work at this hotel are all amazing, from the entertainment to the cleaning staff, everyone could not do enough for you - the waiting/bar staff worked their socks off but always with a smile and literally could not do enough for you. There is entertainment/experiences round the pool and in the lobby bar during the day and entertainment in the evenings on the terrace and there's something for everyone, if you wanted to join in you could but there was no pressure to. We have stayed at many all inclusives and can honestly say this was the nicest restaurant, the food was so well presented and the dining hall was beautiful and felt like a proper restaurant not a diner. We ate in the two À La Cart restaurants and we enjoyed the food at both. We noticed everyone staying at the hotel appeared friendly and happy and we felt this was a knock on effect from staying somewhere where you were so looked after. The beach is across the road and we spent most days there as the pool areas were quite busy and we prefer the beach. The beach itself isn't the nicest but it was quiet with plenty of sun beds that are free to guests and there is a place offering lots of different water sports on the beach which seemed reasonably priced. We went on a boat trip via our tour operator which was quite generic, a couple of swim stops and a good lunch but nothing special. The only thing we weren't impressed with was the spa, the receptionist came round the pool area to drum up business, I booked at massage - however I was not given the full 40 minutes and the massage was not that great either, it was certainly not worth the price and afterwards they tried to sell me products too, so I would not recommend that. I spoke to another customer who had been coming to the hotel for a few years and she had really enjoyed her treatment so I presume it depends on your therapist and maybe your expectations. We would return to this hotel as we enjoyed it that much and it did exactly what we wanted it to do, gave us a relaxing week in the sun.
Our 4th year back at Atlantica Bay and, as always, absolutely fantastic! So good, in fact, that we’ve already booked for next year and are now doing the usual holiday countdown like a pair of kids waiting for Christmas! 😂 First, I HAVE to address something I saw in another review. Someone complained because a member of staff was sweating while working in the restaurant.
Seriously?! 😂
It was 34 degrees! Give the poor bloke a break! These guys and girls work their backsides off in that heat. I’d genuinely love to see the person who wrote that review working at the same pace, in the same temperatures, without sweating! 🫠😂

The staff here are what make this place so special, and it’s brilliant to see so many familiar faces still here year after year.
A massive shout-out to the pool bar team – Justyna, Sunil, Rana, Gajendera and Naran. These guys work tirelessly in the heat and still manage to give fantastic service. Drinks arriving first thing without even asking – now THAT is service! 🍻😂
The lunchtime restaurant team were brilliant too. Pavla and Antuza always looked after us, and we had our favourite table with our drinks practically waiting for us. We felt like royalty! 😂
It was also lovely to see Monika again for our afternoon coffee in the lobby bar. Same great service as always – some things never change! ☕️
Alex in the à la carte restaurant deserves a huge mention. Honestly, this guy wouldn’t look out of place in a top London restaurant. The level of service he gives is absolutely brilliant. Always great to see Alex and his team.
Then there’s Max… what a guy! 👏🏻
He absolutely smashed the entertainment side of things and is a real credit to the hotel. The aqua aerobics was always great fun and, more importantly, properly inclusive – everyone could get involved, regardless of ability. The volleyball and basketball were also brilliant, with a great mixture of people joining in.
Although I’m still not convinced about some of Max’s refereeing decisions…

A quick mention for Anu, who always seemed to be the one getting the gym ready first thing in the morning. She did a fantastic job 👏🏻.
We obviously didn’t get everyone’s names, but the whole team deserve credit. They work incredibly hard, especially in that heat, and still manage to be friendly, helpful and welcoming.
And finally, we met a couple who have apparently been back 35 times.

Just got back from a brilliant stay here at Atlantica bay with my girlfriend. We came because of how impressive the reviews were & it didn’t disappoint. The hotel was very clean & the food was good. A special mention to Max & Dan, the entertainment team. They were both fantastic. We saw more of Max and became really good pals with him. His energy, passion & enthusiasm for his job was second to none. I recommend booking this hotel just to experience Max in person (he was THAT good). We loved our time & will hopefully be back in the near future.
Wow what can I say just arrived back from a week at this hotel, from late night check in served with refreshments and sandwiches to our sea view room which was clean and kept clean all week, the staff go the extra mile always service with a smile, from service around the pool to drinks at the shows .
Big shout out to Max and Dan on the entertainment team always smiling and they work so hard doing activities from daytime to evening and are so welcoming
Food was fantastic there is always something for everyone and drinks plenty to chose from, we were AI booked the sands and the meal was beautiful
Little touches like being seated at the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a couple of nights we had our beds tuned down and a little chocolate left also check out the library on floor 2 if you fancy a read
Yes thee are a lot of cats but they are no fuss and the kittens were just the cutest, the hotel does feed them and we donated to help with this.
Will definitely be returning to this hotel
