Lying amidst idyllic surrounds, this popular hotel is located at the heart of Amathus just 200 m from the local pebble beach that may be reached by using the hotel underground passageway. Links to the public transport network (bus lines), restaurants, bars and shops as well as the fascinating ruins of the ancient royal city are to be found nearby.
Renovated in 2023, this 4-storey hotel comprises 202 rooms and was recently refurbished to cater for guests' every requirements- business guests as well as holidaying families. Facilities include a vast foyer, a reception desk, a bar, a café, an Internet corner and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant in addition to a hairdresser's salon and a souvenir shop.
The tastefully decorated rooms each come with a bathroom or a walk in shower, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, Internet access, a minibar/ fridge, air conditioning, central heating, a hire safe and a balcony. Guests may opt for a room facing inland, with side-on views or direct views out over the sea.
In the outdoor complex is a pool complex with a poolside snack bar, sun loungers, parasols and bath towels that have been laid out ready for use (complimentary). Further leisure options include a artificial grass tennis court (floodlighting; equipment hire for free) and table tennis, whilst various water sports are on offer on the beach. Darts may be played within the hotel and there is also a sauna to take advantage of(with additional fee). During the summer, the daytime and evening entertainment programmes provide some amusement for guests.
Guests may select their breakfast from an ample buffet; those who opt for an all-inclusive stay may choose between a selection of warm and cold snacks at several times of the day. In addition, those guests wishing to undertake an all-day excursion are offered a lunchbox service.
Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as a health club, an outdoor pool and an indoor pool. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and gift shops/newsstands.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We spent a day at Atlantica Bay and had a very good experience. We liked the hotel, the service and, most of all, the people.
The hotel is beautiful, very clean and peaceful, which is perfect for an adults-only hotel. The rooms we saw were nice, clean and well prepared.
At Sands, the hotel’s seaside restaurant (not part of the all inclusi), Rade and Klara welcomed us with a smile and a glass of champagne. The terrace has a beautiful sea view, the food is very good, and they were happy to give us suggestions when we wanted to try something new from the menu. The service felt friendly, natural and professional.
We also spent some time at the beach. The sunbed area is sandy, while the beach itself has stones, but entering the sea was comfortable. Amit helped us with the sunbeds, towels and the bottled water included, one bottle per person.
At reception, Valerii and Demos also welcomed us warmly. We also met Jatin, the hotel porter, who had a friendly and open smile.
And before everyone else, at the entrance, we met Pythagoras, the hotel cat "on duty", watching the entrance very seriously. 🙂
I also liked the balance between the guests and the staff. The guest is important, but the staff are not there to accept everything. There is respect on both sides, clear limits and a real wish to help and find solutions. I think this makes the experience better for everyone.

We also appreciated the way the team is led. Kyriakos K., General Manager, gave us the feeling that people are important to him, not only the daily work of the hotel.
Atlantica Bay is a beautiful place, but the people are the ones who make the experience feel warm and special.
I recommend Atlantica Bay to anyone looking for a few peaceful days, good service, kind and professional staff, a relaxed atmosphere and the sea close by.
Great Hotel in a slightly more remote area - a beautiful older hotel that has clearly been recently revamped with nice rooms, clean bathrooms and great in room facilities (tv and wifi). The food was amazing, always hot and plenty of choice. The staff were really nice and around the pool ALWAYS coming round to ask for drink orders etc. (Shout out to Lenka who was great and new our order/room number without asking near the end of the holiday). The one downside, which is not of the hotel, is that the area surrounding has limited amenities however you can get the bus to wherever you wish but if you like a local explore it is limited.
2nd visit to atlantica bay, one of the best hotels we have stayed in the rooms are cleaned to a high standard little mini bar which is topped up every day 2 beers 2 pop and water, food is fantastic staff are exceptional lenka around pool works so hard and is very friendly and remembers order. Overall a superb adults only hotel we will be back.
Arrived late at night with a nice welcome of a offer of refreshments and sandwiches . Our room was a good size clean and comfortable, great bed and pillows and plenty of storage. Hotel guest areas bars ,restaurants,and pool areas are kept really clean and tidy. Restaurants and bar staff work really hard to make your stay a good experience all the staff make the hotel worth the stay.Food was not bad you can always find something to eat and if it is meant to be hot it is. The only gripe I have is the drinks the shorts I think should be branded and think guests would be willing to pay a little more on their all inclusive package.
The hotel was clean and well-maintained. The rooms have been renovated and are in good condition. Everything we needed was provided, and nothing was missing.
Unfortunately, the breakfast selection was quite disappointing, especially when it came to vegetables. There were very few vegetables available and no olive oil. During dinner, no spirits were available. Another downside was the welcome at the restaurant, where an older man greeted guests in a rather unfriendly and unpleasant manner.
One thing to keep in mind is that you need to reserve sunbeds by the pool early in the morning, as many of them are already taken by around 9:30 a.m.
On the positive side, we really enjoyed the hotel’s pool activities, including water aerobics, volleyball, and basketball. Max was absolutely fantastic — very professional, cheerful, and an excellent activity leader who made the activities enjoyable for everyone.
A major advantage of the hotel is its private parking area, where we could always find a parking space. This was very convenient and made our stay much easier.
