The Rixos Premium Dubrovnik is 1.6 kilometres from the historic old town and 23 kilometres from Dubrovnik Airport.
We stayed at the Rixos Hotel and ate most of our meals at the main restaurant on the 10th floor. The restaurant manager and chef, Revindra Mangarathil, really made our stay special. He's such a nice, warm, and humble guy. You can tell he runs a tight ship because the restaurant was always neat, tidy, and really clean.
The food was always fresh and cooked just right. We never had a bad meal there. It's clear Chef Revindra knows his stuff in the kitchen and cares a lot about quality.
But what really stood out was how much he cares about the guests. He would often come out of the kitchen to check on everyone, walking around and chatting with us. Every morning at breakfast, and some evenings at dinner too, he'd come over to talk. By the end of our stay, he felt like a close relative or a good friend. He also really paid attention to the service and quality, always asking for our feedback. We kept telling him the same thing: the restaurant is already first-class.
We're definitely coming back next year, and seeing him again is one of the main reasons. Thank you, Chef Revindra, for making our dining experience so memorable. Highly recommended!
I don’t know who is reviewing this hotel but they couldn’t be more wrong. This is not even a 3-star hotel!! from the moment we walked in being overwhelmed with the most repulsive perfume smell to the tacky tasteless lobby then onto one of the worst rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Even the way they set up the view takes away from the beauty of Dubrovnik. The room is dated and dirty. The bathrooms are shabby and uncomfortable. I’m just so shocked and surprised at how bad this hotel is! I had heard about it for a long time and read reviews online. It is absolutely the biggest disappointment and definitely not worth the money. There are so many other beautiful hotels in Dubrovnik. Whatever you do, don’t stay here. Absolutely gross!
Great hotel, right on the Adriatic Sea. Great restaurants on premises. Out room was fantastic, with a large outdoor terrace overlooking the sea. The staff is attentive and we’re always trying their best to assure we had a great experience.
But best of all, we were assigned our own personal attendant named Joyci. Everyday, Joyci would proactively check with us to see what we wanted to do, where we wanted to eat, etc and then make the arrangements for us. At the end of the day, she would check to see how our experiences went. Top flight!
Hotel is in a great location for walking to the Old town but also for a slightly longer walk to the western area of Dubrovnik - which is a great escape from the crowds in the Old Town. Staff at the hotel are very attentive and helpful. Our superior sea view room was large and spacious with great views. Breakfast has a wide range of foods and the staff were very efficient in bringing coffee and cleaning the tables. Slight downsides for us, even in late September the sunbed pool area could be very crowded and noisy. There are areas where building maintenance could be stepped up, we had a loose bathroom hook, skirting boards coming loose and restaurant blinds not all working. For a 5 star hotel we would expect showers to not be above the bath, anda medium firm bed not the very soft one we had. We would also suggest that there is no need to play music in the hotel lifts.
Second visit to the Rixos Premium, we had a fantastic week from the moment we arrived to the time we left. On arrival the staff are so welcoming, checked in swiftly and then given a tour of the hotel explaining where and how the hotel functions First impressions was how clean everything was, and the view from the lobby was amazing. We has a room on the 5th floor which had the same amazing view, room was large with everything that suited us. We ate breakfast and evening meals in the Turquoise restaurant and were always welcomed by chef Revindran, he was always enthusiastic to let you know what food was available plus what specials were on the menu, We spent every morning exploring ths surrounding area,bus stop for Dubrovnik is only a five minute walk, you can catch any number bus into the city for €2.50 pp and the number 4 for the return journey, On returning to the Rixos usually about lunchtime we had no issues in locating loungers near the pool area, on a few occasions we had lunch in the poolside bar which was very good and served by very friendly staff Evening entertainment was available in the main bar every night,friendly staff and engaging, A special metion to the following staff, SACHIN and the two girls from Argentina in the Turquoise restaurant. Zuhri who was so engaging with all the visitors. Thank you to all the staff at the Rixos for a lovely time
