Surrounded by ancient gardens of Mediterranean vegetation, the hotel enjoys a magnificent and quiet location on the coast of the Lapad peninsula, overlooking the port of Gruž. The beach is just a few meters away and the picturesque old town of Dubrovnik, is only 30 minutes away by bus. The airport is 45 minutes away by car. It combines old-world charm with contemporary interior design, creating a unique atmosphere of timeless elegance. The rooms are luxuriously decorated and equipped with convenient amenities for a pleasant stay. The hotel offers other excellent services and facilities, such as an outdoor pool, pool bar, lobby bar and a conference room. The gourmet restaurant will delight the most demanding palates. Without a doubt, the perfect place for a romantic getaway.
A very pleasant hotel located in Lapad outside the main tourist area (old town) by quite some distance. The room we had wasn't large but it was perfectly adequate for our needs, the bath and shower room had all we needed and had a view over the harbour - usually to those awful behemoth cruise ships. The breakfast was good with a range of hot and cold options, fruit, cereal and oat milk. The coffee machine was pretty decent. I did enquire about a firmer pillow but was told there were no alternatives, and I found one or two people on reception including the one I asked about the pillow to be unhelpful and not too friendly. We didn't use the pool as it is next to the road which goes past the hotel, we knew that before coming, but the pool area lacked charm and could do with some imaginative planting to soften the harsh concrete feel. I'm glad we were at the front of the hotel in the old part as it looked out on the harbour which was interesting. Situated in a pleasant area with lots of restaurants within walking distance, one in particular was very good.
The hotel accepted my booking, but rejected it three days later on the grounds that my family would not fit into the room.
Why was the room offered to me, when I searched for 2 adults and 2 children? Why did it take three days for them to notify me (meanwhile, all the other hotels sold out)?
Beware that this hotel uses an outdated booking system, which does not take into account the number of people specified in the booking request!
The customer service is arrogant: “you should’ve known”, “why didn’t you look at the booking confirmation” etc.
Avoid this hotel at all costs!
Nice hotel and friendly staff , outdoor pool with sunbeds although these go quite quickly. Rooms are an ok size with a tiny balcony. Breakfast usual buffet style and hotel also do a buffet dinner . We walked into old town which took about 45 mins alternatively you can get a bus. A few restaurants nearby and a supermarket. Walk around the marina and there are some boat trips you can book .only negative was that they don’t have a shower room to use once you’ve checked out, only the poolside shower . Would return
We wanted somewhere more quite for our holiday and this hotel was recommended by our travel agent. This was our first time in Croatia and we were blown away by how stunning and beautiful the country and this city was. The hotel is a very beautiful looking building and very clean and extremely well looked after. Walking out the front of the hotel you are faced with the harbour filled with beautiful boats, and on the other side of the harbour massive cruise ships dock. Either way along the harbour are some beautiful and lovely resturants. Our room was lovely with some great mood lighting and great air-con. The TV in the room did not recieve any channels, but for us that was not a problem. Especially when everywhere in the hotel was so nice to sit and relax. We spent a number of days just relaxing in the beautiful and rustic walled area under the shade of olive trees and grape vines, taking much needed cooling dips in the lovely pool. Even with lots of people around the pool the noise levels were low and there was a very relaxed atmosphere. While breakfast was the same every day there was plenty of selection and was lovely, the evening meal was varied every day and gave us the chance to try some very different foods. And ALL the staff were so lovely, so helpful and so eager to help. This was our most relaxing holiday ever and we were blown away by how beautiful the city is and how passinate and proud everybody we spoke to are of their country and city. WE WILL BE GOING BACK!
Absolutely amazing experience at Hotel Lapad! The location is fantastic - strip of bars and restaurants 5 mins away and beautiful views from sea view terrace. Dubrovnik Old Town is a 10 minute car journey and 40 minute walk down a long road with great views all the way. Could not recommend enough! The hospitality was great and very friendly staff. Rooms were immaculate and very spacious
