Staff are exceptional, hotel a little tired could do with a refurbishment, breakfast excellent. We where part of v level or what ever the equivalent is. Spa again is fine but tired. Gym is very very very poor. Beech is lovely. Nice running loop along promenade, where in the evening time its a lovely place to visit restaurants etc. Overall I would return to hotel for its level of service, food, friendliness, beech location.
Fantastic hotel! The staff are very helpful, we preferred a twin room which unfortunately we weren’t allocated when we first arrived but they moved us promptly. The food is brilliant, breakfast lots of choice. We dined once in the buffet in the evening, it was lovely and fresh. The bus stop was right outside the hotel and only took 15 minutes to get into the centre of Dubrovnik. Beach and indoor spa was lovely. The spa had an indoor pool, outdoor jacuzzi, steam and sauna room - all very clean and a nice luxury. Would recommend this hotel and will return.
Our experience at this hotel was unfortunately quite average, especially considering that it is a five-star property.
To start, arranging a shuttle from the ferry to the hotel was unnecessarily complicated. We had stayed at several hotels throughout our trip, and this was by far the most difficult shuttle experience we encountered. We were also under the impression that the shuttle was complimentary, as this was never clearly communicated to us otherwise. We were surprised to find an additional charge for the shuttle on our bill at checkout.
Unfortunately, our room was another major disappointment. When we first arrived, there was a strong smell of urine in the room, and the smell remained throughout our entire stay. We also booked a sea-view room, but the view was extremely misleading. We could see maybe an inch of the sea, while the majority of the view was blocked by a garden. Given that we specifically booked a sea-view room, this was disappointing.
We originally booked three nights, but the experience was unpleasant enough that we ultimately decided to book an Airbnb elsewhere for our final night.
We also found the staff to be less friendly and helpful than we expected from a five-star hotel. While there were certainly some positives, the overall service and experience did not meet the standard we anticipated.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast, which was excellent and one of the best parts of the hotel experience.
Overall, we really wish we could have had a better experience. Given the five-star rating and the price point, we expected a much higher level of service, communication, cleanliness, and overall quality.
Had a 3 night stay here and have mixed opinions, but on the whole would not return here. 5 stars yes but lacking in friendliness, atmosphere and warmth. No conversation forth coming from any staff, not helpful either, when asking for anything from meal times to any going on in the hotel. Tables never full set, always had to ask for something, cup, teaspoon, milk, wine menu. Left waiting to be served drinks yet staff stood watching. Food was really nice and well presented, lots of variety. Room was lovely and spacious, views overlooking the sea amazing. Pool and areas rekaxing and peaceful, location not the best if you just want a little stroll. But central if you sre happy to get a bus or dont mind a walk which is a good walk to find any bars.
