This building reflects the blue Mediterranean sky and has grown on the foundations of ancient Split, next to the location Roman Emperor Diocletian chose for his summer house. Split Airport is less than 30 kilometres away. The aqueduct that was then built can be seen in the official exhibit site at the underground premises of the hotel. Facilities include a lobby with 24-hour reception, hotel safe, currency exchange, cloakroom, lift access, a newsstand and a restaurant, pub, a conference centre and a 24-hour business centre. Guests may also make use of the Internet access, room and laundry services and garage.
Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, including an indoor pool, a sauna and a fitness centre. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and a hair salon.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Smooth check-in; friendly front desk staff. Spacious, comfortable room. Safe, mini fridge, kettle, iron w/board. Robes and slippers.
Breakfast Buffet: Acceptable, nothing exceptional. Fruit, cheese, cereals. Food under heat lamps, no signs on anything. Only 1 of the 2 coffee machines was working, so long queues. Ridiculous. Gentleman who seemed to be in-charge, was incredibly rude. Approached him politely; he said loudly, 'What do you want?' I asked where the ketchup was, he said to wait; went to kitchen and returned with a little serving of ketchup. It was such an inconvenience to him. Poor service.
Group dinner: Average offerings and service.
Location is about 20 mins walk to old town.
This hotel is outside the city centre and needs improvement. I wrote a letter of complaint and I am still awaiting a response.
I stayed at the Atrium Hotel in Split last night in room 514 as part of the Gate 1 group. When I arrived at the room, I noticed that the refrigerator was not plugged in. I put the plug into the outlet and placed a bottle of water inside to keep cool. A while later I heard a noise from the cupboard with the refrigerator. I thought the bottle of water might have fallen. I checked and it was still upright. In the morning, I noticed that the plug had fallen out and my water was warm.
At breakfast, the food items were not labeled. I saw two platters of crepes. I had no idea what, if anything, was inside the crepes. I took one and put it on my plate. It was only after I cut it open that I saw Nutella inside. Since I do not like hazelnuts, I was unable to eat the crepe. It took a while for a new tray of crepes to be brought out. There was some sort of jam inside those crepes. It would be nice to know what I was eating. There are certain foods I can't eat. I do not want to take a chance if food is not labeled. There were pastries I could not eat since I do not know what kind they were.
Great location fo the ultra festival, nice amenities, great big rooms!
Definitely not a 5 star hotel experience (see below for list of 5 star standard amenities which were not present). At best a solid 4 star level and customer service was basic. Pool & Spa area was unusable because of ineffective air conditioning (air temperature was 30C+). Amenities not present- no room service, mini bar, or safe in room, limited drawer space, no large bath towels. Poor coffee and no table service at breakfast; quality of food not great (e.g. tinned fruit rather than fresh). Room was spacious, modern and clean. Location not good- distant from old town and in quite a run down neighbourhood.
We stayed in June at the Atrium Hotel. It was very nice clean, tidy and modern. We had a room on the 4th floor.Very large. Lots to choose at Breakfast. There is a shopping mall just a few minutes walk behind the hotel. The hotel is on a busy road that takes you to the centre of Split but we didn’t hear it inside. The hotel is a 20 minute walk straight down to the old town of split which was ok for us.I would recommend this hotel if you’re happy to walk. However there are buses along this road.
