We came on our trip to Saint Lucia at the royalton Hideaway to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. And it was amazing. Beautiful island. The staff was so wonderful. Very friendly and welcoming. We had two wonderful butler's for our stay. Marissa and Nikita!! We love them, so helpful with everything made sure we were well taken care of. Really appreciate them both. Will definitely be back! Thanks to everyone at the Royalton for such a wonderful visit
The location was everything because most of the tours are nearby, so the tours can pick you up from the hotel and take you to the excursions with ease. The beach ⛱️, the beach ⛱️ is always at your door step and the sunset in the evening just kisses the water. It was a perfect time to do a solo trip because the resort is quiet. Take the ferry ⛴️ from airport, you get to see the Pitons along the way. The room is spacious and they provide robes and slippers. Get the diamond club through the resort and not Marriott, its cheaper. I had 2 butlers for the week, they took care of my dinner reservations, maintenance issue, had my fridge stocked with water and anything else you need as a solo traveler, its a must and we'll worth it.
By far the worst adult resort I have ever been to and I travel all over.
I don't know where to begin...
Arrival - no greeting, small table setup with little to old snacks set out for guest Arrival. The entrance to the adult side was by far the worst set-up for an adult traveler to see. It set the vibe for the remaining 7 day stay! No welcome drink, no one spoke, no one acknowledged, no one smiled, every female worker look miserable and unhappy.
Rooms - room looked okay from afar...pillows had stains, shower was dirty, dirt was still very noticeable. Fridge was suppose to be stocked daily. Was empty with the exception of a half drank sprite from another guest I assume. Called front desk and she said someone will be coming to fill fridge. 8hrs later around 8pm no one ever came. Called 2 more times and front desk lady said: things happen and we ended the call. On day 3 someone came to fill fridge. Room was also not cleaned for 2 days and we went down to lobby 3 times for service, wash clothes, soap, etc.
1 adult pool with no wait staff to assist unless you had a butler. The swim up bar had no bartender so you had to order your drinks from outside the pool. Sometimes they would come down to the swim up but the wait was forever unless you tipped all day.
The drinks were terrible. Bars did not have basic alcohol and they treated Titos and Jamieson like it was top shelf. Everything was made with cheap liquor and for what you paid to stay at this resort, it was really sad what they provided.
Service- the women who worked on the property made the entire experience one where I would NEVER RETURN!!!!! I never met unhappy, unfriendly people at a resort. ALL OF THEM!!!! 28 people in my group and we all complained and hated the resort. For the resort to be considered an adult resort Everything shuts down on the adult side. You have to go to the family side to eat and drink. Oh there is one restaurant and one bar on the adult side that is open until 10pm. Then all the lights go out like your a child. We paid for an adult resort, shutting a bar down on the adult side at 10pm is insane. Not to mention, no REAL ALCOHOL. Everything was bottom of the barrel liquor.
Restaurants had mouse poop on the chairs or rodent poop. Fleas everywhere. Drinks were made in dirty glasses and silverware and table clothes still had stains. I promise this is by far the worst hotel I've ever been too.
I'm really disappointed in Royalton and whoever is managing this place needs to truly reinvest in the property, employees and service. The quality of the resort is terrible. The place is falling apart and it is not that old.
The cabanas and cushions are beat up, the pools do not get cleaned and tested. I would recommend staying away.
Ownership is greed because the money is not going into the resort. The buffet barely had any food beside breads, beans, pastries. Really sad!
Refunds should be given back for this terrible experience. I will never be back to Royalton or St. Lucia....the people and the place suck!
this is the second time I have stayed at a Royalton resort. This resort is huge. It has so many pools so many restaurants and bars. There is something for everyone. The food at the buffet is delicious lots of variety lots of good fresh fruit, vegetables, and dishes. Caribbean restaurant delicious seafood restaurant delicious literally every restaurant all the food was delicious. Room was lovely. Had everything that I needed. I was part of the diamond club and my butlers were Marissa and Nikita and I cannot tell you how exceptional they both are. Every question anything I needed help with they were there. St. Lucia a beautiful island and the Royalton hit all the boxes.!!!
I have to say the Butler staff is wonderful. Kaysha and Jesse went above and beyond to make our stay the most excellent time we could ever hope for. They had to come behind the room cleaning staff to bring towels and wash cloths that were not replaced after the room was cleaned. They helped us with excursions, dining, safety, everything. These 2 were top notch. When we booked we specifically asked for 2 beds. When we got there several people we traveled with, including ourselves were given rooms with a king bed. We are friends and we did not want to spend 5 days sharing a bed. Especially not at the price we paid. Barrington was not going to accommodate us until my friend had to threaten to go over his head. We got move the next day. Others in our party were not so lucky, including a group with 3 in a room. That is unacceptable. That is something that should be disclosed before we arrive. We could have made arrangements to book at another place. But to pay what we paid and be told we could sleep on a pull out sofa for people over 50 years old. No! Our backs are not that forgiving. The pools were nice. Not too crowded. The restaurants could have offered better variety and definitely more staff. At our birthday dinner, the main table had not received their food and we were on desert. Then we were told that another party was waiting to be seated and implied we needed to leave soon. The entertainment was great. The overall stay was great, mainly due to Kaysha and Jesse. We would have lost without them. We would not have know all of what the resort had to offer without them.
