Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I would go back in a heartbeat. The BellJou was beautiful and quaint and very accommodating. I loved that it was adults only. The adults that attend this resort don't run amuck . All staff are authentic and happy you are there. Guests are polite and welcoming as well. Being all inclusive makes for a very relaxed vacation.
Dear Reader, I hope this note finds you well. By way of introduction, I am John Bailey, a recent guest at this beautiful establishment, Bel Jou. I wanted to take a moment to share my sincere appreciation for the exceptional experience my family and I enjoyed during our stay.
This trip was a special one — my wife’s birthday coincided with our 10-year wedding anniversary, and we wanted a romantic yet classy way to celebrate with our family. Naturally, St. Lucia came to mind, and during our research, the larger resort brands initially stood out. However, I decided to call a few resorts to get a feel for their customer service and overall vibe.
After speaking with two well-known brands and feeling underwhelmed, I called Bel Jou. The moment the young lady answered and described the nature of your gem of an establishment, I was sold. That first conversation set the tone for what became one of the most memorable vacations of our lives — and I’m delighted to say we were not disappointed in the slightest.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed not just as guests, but as family. Every smile, every conversation, and every thoughtful gesture made us feel at home. Your team’s professionalism was matched only by their warmth, and it’s rare to find that perfect balance.

It’s easy for travelers to focus on what goes wrong, but in our case, everything went right. Our experience was truly best in class, and we left with full hearts, unforgettable memories, and a deep appreciation for the people who made it all possible.

Brendan was the best bartender for my twin and me! He made us feel right at home, and we had such an amazing time. We were here as a bit of chill time after visiting Trinidad & Barbados to see some Caribbean Premier cricket. The place was awesome from the start of our short stay. We were greeted like family & the whole place is built with safety in mind. Handrails everywhere on stairs & ease of getting around the place was brilliant for someone who Is mobility impaired. Staff, food, amenities were all exceptional. Thank you Bel Jou - hope to see you again one day.
We have been to Saint Lucia 3 times now and stayed in another hotel but in Rodney Bay. Thr Bel Jou is not the best location if you want all the modern shops and a vibrant night life. However. If you want a hotel that treat you like valued guests, has amazing food with a great selection at every meal time, gorgeous views from every angle and a very laid back friendly atmosphere. Then this is the place to go. From the moment we entered the hotel to the minute we left, we was treated extremely well. The hotel had upgraded our room when we arrived without us requesting it. However we asked to be downgraded again due to the location of the rooms we originally request as I struggle to climb steps. They immediately swapped our rooms and was very apologetic for which there was no need. The maintenance staff never seem to stop from just painting and renewing areas through to maintaining the grounds to a high level. The cook's were all amazing from Joule who was an awesome chef and a great personality. Through to Christian who supervised a great staff of pastry chef's. The food could not be knocked. All the waiting staff were fantastic with a special shout out to the most welcoming and lovely Princess. Quincy who was one of the staff around the pool was so engaging he helped make the experience a wonderful one. The clientele was also great with everyone mixing and getting along very well. We was lucky enough to make a group of friends that we can say will remain friends and whim we have arranged to meet up with next year and also go away with again. To sum up our experience. I would say this has been our favourite Caribbean holiday by a substantial way. I also have to give a massive shout out to Shane out personal taxi driver for all our Saint Lucia trips.
