Would give 0 stars. We travel around the Caribbean at least 1-2x a year with family and as a couple. My husband and I booked this trip for his birthday and our 21st wedding anniversary. We arrived on 10/5 and no one was at the front to greet us, help with our bags or anything. It was like a ghost town, something we never experienced before. Another guest let us know they were transferring everyone to a new resort due to a water issue noting they had no water since the Friday before, could not shower or flush their toilets. They took all of our information, charged us for "incidentals" and then transported us to a new resort with no indication of what the resolution would be. We lost half a day going back and forth with them because we just wanted to be settled in one space and know what was going on. No one from the resort would answer the phone or questions and charged us and when we asked to just stay at the new resort due to all the issues and concerns and they charged us a penalty to remain at the resort they put us up in stating they gave us the option ahead of time to return or stay at the new resort. This was never discussed or provided as an option. Highly disappointed at the lack of integrity or care for the consumer for the amount of money we paid and the hassle that consumed the first two days of our trip. I understand circumstances out of their control but how they handled the situation was Highly disappointing.
My husband and I had a fabulous time! The resort is clean, well kept and we had plenty of delicious food and drink on site. More importantly, the staff are friendly, accommodating and kind. We were here during a slower time so we were able to get to know more of the staff on a personal level, which was such a sweet treat! Cashka( professional dancer, artist, musician) Damien ( radiates pure, genuine joy and displays entertaining tricks), John ( wonderful conversationalist and full of island knowledge) and Terelle (fantastic mixologist who enjoys shore fishing) greeted us every day with warmth, as though we were family.
Restaurant was great, great staff, Great food. Chef Pry was nice.
Great location inside the Wyndham Grand Barbados. The atmosphere is very homely and the staff is amazing and the food is fantastic!
My family and I had an excellent stay at Wyndham Sam Lord’s Castle Resort in Barbados. The rooms were beautifully decorated, very clean, and comfortable, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our vacation.
What truly made our stay special was the wonderful customer service. A special shout-out to Tanya and Ashlee at the Castle View Restaurant, who went above and beyond to make my birthday feel extra special. I would also like to thank Denisia and Antoinette from the Mediterranean Market, as well as John, Daniel, and Kyle from the grill and pool bars. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay.
We had a wonderful family vacation and truly appreciated the care and hospitality shown by the staff. I would highly recommend this resort and would gladly stay again!
