A Wonderful Experience at Island Essence Spa
Before booking my experience, I spoke with Ms. Tracey, the Spa Manager, as it was my partner’s birthday and I wanted to surprise him with a pedicure treatment. Tracey took the time to explain the different types of pedicures available and really educated me on the treatments, which I truly appreciated.
I also booked a massage for myself, and my therapist, Erica, was absolutely wonderful. She was pleasant, warm, and very accommodating. Before beginning, she took the time to speak with me about some of my troubled areas and explained what she would be doing throughout the treatment. She also shared helpful tips that I could use even after leaving the spa.
We had such a lovely conversation during my treatment, and sometimes, that in itself can be so relaxing. Erica also introduced me to some of the ESPA products, which I had the opportunity to experience — and wow! I was genuinely impressed by them.
I was also given a tour of the spa, and the views, pool, and relaxation areas are simply amazing. However, for me, the service was the true highlight of the experience. Everyone was thoughtful, respectful, attentive, and genuinely focused on making us feel comfortable.
A special thank you to Tracey, Erica, Kianna, and Christal, the receptionist who warmly welcomed us upon arrival. Even after my treatment, while I waited for my partner, Erica and Christal continued to check on me to make sure I was comfortable.
What a beautiful start to his birthday celebration! The experience was not just about the treatments — it was about how we were made to feel from the moment we arrived.

Tativa restaurant was great Malieek has outstanding service the chef was great.
Came here as a consequence of a flight diversion. The BA flight experience was terrible but this hotel they put us in overnight was excellent. The dinner, the room, the shower, the bed, the sleep, the gym and the breakfast were all first class. I must come back and stay if I can.
We had such a good time here and would definitely come back.
The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean and honestly great value for money. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the beds were great, and the bathroom was gorgeous. The views were also one of my favourite parts. We could see the beach, the castle, and even a ship that had drifted off the coast, which was really cool.
The staff were genuinely some of the nicest people we came across. Everyone was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Special thanks to Vanessa, Jeanine, Daron, Kwame, Denecia and Brandon for helping make our stay such a good one. Kwame especially kept us laughing, and the little thoughtful things the staff did really stood out.
We had a small hiccup with check-in when we first arrived, but it was handled really well and we appreciated how management made an effort to make things right.
The food was also really good. The Indian restaurant was probably our favourite, especially the lamb shank, and the steak at Mediterranean Market was delicious. The cocktails were excellent too and definitely not watered down.
The only thing I would have loved to see was a little more happening in terms of activities. We may have visited during a quieter period, but more family-friendly entertainment would be great. Outdoor karaoke or even live-band karaoke where the kids could join in would be so much fun.
Overall, beautiful hotel, lovely views, great food, clean rooms, good value and an amazing team of people. We really enjoyed ourselves.
