Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This hotel was a complete disappointment from start to finish.
After traveling for 15 hours to get here for our honeymoon, the first thing the woman at the reception said to us was, "You need to pay a 200-euro deposit"—no "welcome," no "hello"... That was literally the first sentence she spoke to us. Paying the deposit isn't the issue, but you'd expect a greeting first.
There is no beach to speak of; the swimming pool is both dirty and so shallow that it could only be described as a kiddie pool.
The hotel is marketed as "all-inclusive," but that isn't true; meal times are fixed, options are very limited, and the food quality is mediocre at best.
Most of the staff—aside from the bartenders—are incredibly rude, especially the female employees.
The room hadn't been cleaned properly; the shower area was left dirty, and they had only changed the sheets.
I would definitely like to warn anyone considering a holiday here.
No beach, no decent pool, rude staff, poorly cleaned rooms, and mediocre food... And all for 300 euros a night—it's absolute madness!
Staff is unhappy and I can see why. Management is surly and cheap. Limited washcloths and towels to one per person and only change them out on odd even days …very weirdly cheap! Food was not good but great restaurants nearby the location.
We had a nice room with a very comfortable four poster bed ! Lots of room and cleaned every day . There are a lot of steps in this hotel so not suitable for people with mobility issues . The beach that’s displayed on the the website wasn’t at all like we saw . Apparently two years ago it was virtually washed away ! Old photos are being used . The food in the main dining department was very poor with no variety at all . You had a choice of around four meals and two desserts . We were very disappointed. The restaurant up a flight of stairs was a better one . The staff were very nice friendly. Particularly Monica . The entertainment was virtually non existent. We did however see a wonderful fire display . Also a lady singing which was nice . The atmosphere was nice however lacked more music . Overall we had a pleasant stay.
4 and not a 5 is due to lack of sand on the beach but that is not the hotels fault. We stayed as a family of 4 adults with 2 double beds in one room. The room was spacious enough for all of us, cleaned daily with beds made and clean towels also daily. We were bed a breakfast. The breakfast was perfect for us, usual buffet type of breakfast. Hot food, fruit, pastries, cereals, juice, tea, coffee etc. There are quite a lot of stairs in the hotel, we were on the first floor up and had no problems. Spacious terraced area with a table and comfy chairs. The pool is shallow in all areas and quite small but as we were out at the beach most days, it wasn’t a problem. We did use it a couple of times for swimming, it was clean as was the surrounding area. All of the staff we encountered during our stay were friendly, polite and helpful. We would stay again.
Savannah is located in the parish of St Michael opposite Garrison Savannah race track the staff were welcoming and accommodating especially for me as the lifts wernt working and there are quite a few stairs to manage, they gave me a ground floor room and assisted me by transporting me and my luggage down to my room. Fortunately the meals were served in Drifters bar which is down stairs apart from my last Saturday and Sunday but again they arranged transport so I could b go have my meals. The staff at the bar were so friendly and cheerful, I wish my place of work would allow me to be so cheerful. The vibe was excellent. The beach was very peaceful and beautifully tranquil however the sea was a little rough and slightly affected with sargassum seaweed, however there was a weekly shuttle to the beautiful Carlisle Bay where the sea is calm and crystal clear. The food was delicious and varied and each night you had your choice of à la carte meals or a buffet dinner. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are immaculately clean and serviced to a high standard daily. The meals at the Chopstix restaurant was particularly enjoyable, one thing I would say is that if you have serious mobility issues, this might not be accessible to you as there are a lot of stairs but then again the wonderful staff may be able to cater for you.
