The over-the-water bungalows were an amazing experience. Our butlers Earl and Khem were very attentive keeping the minibar stocked, scheduling cabana and dinner reservations, and checking in to ensure our stay was meeting (and exceeding) our expectations.
Pros: Resort, property, and beach beautiful. Vibe team did a wonderful job entertaining both day and night. Stand out hands down Jahvanie, always a smile, professional, anticipated our needs, got things done and found solutions. Our Butler Dwayne was very attentive to an autistic special needs child with us. He made sure he was happy and had the food he eats. Cons: Staff vibe was unhappy, dismissive, and frustrated. All but one restaurant were out of several menu items everyday. Bars out of mixers,Martini bar had 1 type of martini, steak restaurant out of all but 1 steak. Waited 3 hours for lunch to be told kitchen ran out of food. Buffet short on staff. The Management at this hotel does not meet the standards of the Marriott name. Basics fell short, better staff training, and fixing supply issues needed. ASAP.
I got married in Antigua at the Royalton Hotel last year November. The acting Manager Mr Carl Beviere was present during my stay. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for this man. Everything I was unhappy about he sorted. He upgraded our room and all the small attention to details was done. He had little surprises left in our room on numerous occasions, this was so lovely. I am so happy he was there to turn my hopes and dreams after 2 years of planning into reality, as it could of been a nightmare. Carl is an exceptional manager, definitely one of a kind. Myself and my husband Roger would like to thank you for everything. You are a absolute diamond 💎
Lots of love Mrs Shamilla Charles x
Dear Mr. Kahlon,
I hope you are doing well.
I am writing to express my disappointment with our current stay at Royalton Antigua, Autograph Collection. We have approximately a day and a half remaining before our departure, and I believe it is important to bring these concerns to your attention while there is still an opportunity to discuss them in person and, hopefully, reach a satisfactory resolution.
Unfortunately, our experience has fallen well below the standard we expected from a Marriott Autograph Collection resort. Throughout our stay, we have encountered what appears to be a noticeable lack of staffing, which has affected the level of service across the property. Service has been inconsistent, and obtaining assistance has often been difficult.
In addition, we have been disappointed with the quality of the accommodations, the food, the beverages, and even the water provided throughout the resort. Collectively, these issues have significantly impacted our vacation and have not reflected the quality associated with a luxury all-inclusive resort.
We understand that every property can experience occasional challenges. However, the number and consistency of the issues we have experienced suggest broader operational concerns rather than isolated incidents.
Because we are scheduled to depart in approximately a day and a half, we respectfully request the opportunity to meet with you or a member of your executive management team at your earliest convenience. Our goal is not simply to complain but to discuss our experience and determine whether an appropriate resolution can be reached before we leave the resort.
Thank you for taking the time to consider our concerns. We would appreciate hearing from you as soon as possible and are available to meet at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Never received a reply from the GM. We ended up meeting with a manager from customer service and discussed our disappointment with the service the quality of food, not having food, not being able to make reservations at the restaurants and being forced to eat at the buffet, ordering drinks at the restaurants and they don’t even have drinks that are part of your package. For an all-inclusive the food was below par and the premium drinks were not available with the package. I would not recommend this resort to anyone.
Our family of six stayed at Royalton Antigua from July 7–12, 2026, with the hope of making wonderful memories together at what is advertised as a luxury, all-inclusive resort. While we did enjoy our time together and Antigua itself is beautiful, the resort fell far short of our expectations.
From the moment we arrived, many of the servers and staff made us feel unwelcome. We consistently got the impression that employees were unhappy to be there, which greatly affected the overall atmosphere. The resort also appeared to be significantly understaffed.
The food was another major disappointment. Meals were often served cold, and every restaurant seemed to be out of multiple entrées—typically our first choices. The poolside food truck was particularly frustrating, as it was the only nearby lunch option unless guests wanted to walk a considerable distance to the buffet.
Royalton advertises premium liquor selections, but we found the offerings to be below average and highly inconsistent. Each bar carried different products, making it difficult to find anything you enjoyed more than once. We ultimately left the resort to purchase our own alcohol, which should never be necessary at a luxury all-inclusive property.
To their credit, Guest Services did listen to our concerns and compensated us for a few inconveniences. The entertainment staff also did an excellent job and provided some enjoyable moments during our stay.
At the end of the day, we made lasting memories with our family despite the resort—not because of it. Unfortunately, this was not the luxury experience that was advertised. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Royalton Antigua. There is significant room for improvement in staffing, food quality, inventory management, and overall guest service.
