⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1,000/10 — Jean Marie Set a New Standard for Luxury Hospitality!

Where do I even begin with Hodges Bay Resort & Spa? Our stay was absolutely beautiful, but what truly took our experience from a wonderful vacation to something we will genuinely remember was the level of service we received—especially from Jean Marie, the Guest Services Manager.

Jean Marie was TOP TIER. I genuinely believe she set the standard for how guest service should be done at every luxury hotel.

Her exceptional service actually began weeks before we even arrived in Antigua. I was planning a weekend getaway and birthday surprise for my partner, and Jean Marie assisted me through email every step of the way. She gave me different options, prices, helped me organize everything, answered my questions, and made sure I could create exactly the experience I envisioned.

And somehow, the service became even more impressive once we arrived.

Jean Marie went far beyond what I would ever expect from hotel guest services. She helped arrange and decorate our room for my partner’s birthday surprise, made sure we had cases of water for our daughter, and constantly checked that we had what we needed. At one point, she even drove our car into town for us and later picked us up after our Extreme Adventure Tour excursion.

WHO DOES THAT?! 😂❤️

That wasn’t just good customer service. That was genuine hospitality. She treated us like we were her personal guests and made us feel completely taken care of. That is luxury.

If you’re planning to stay at Hodges Bay, my recommendation is simple: email Guest Services and ask for Jean Marie. Especially if you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, romantic getaway, or another special occasion. She is absolutely phenomenal and was one of the biggest highlights of our entire stay.

The resort itself is GORGEOUS. When we arrived, we received an upgrade to a beautiful two-bedroom accommodation, and we could literally walk right outside to our infinity pool. It gave us the privacy and space of a luxury villa while still having all the amenities and service of a high-end resort.

That setup was especially perfect for us because we were traveling with our daughter. We had enough space for family and friends who live on the island to visit and help babysit when my partner and I went out at night. For families who want luxury without feeling confined to a traditional hotel room, this was perfect.

The butler service was another 10/10. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and willing to help. I also have to give a special shout-out to Willisha at the bar—another top-tier member of the Hodges Bay team who added to our experience.

And the FOOD! 😍 We ate at the resort’s restaurant and everything we had was delicious. My partner and I had the fried rice along with the catch of the day, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Another major advantage is the location. Hodges Bay gave us that secluded, luxurious resort feeling without making us feel isolated from the rest of Antigua. We had a rental car and could easily drive into St. John’s, run errands, explore the island, do our excursions, and then return to the resort and enjoy all of its amenities.

Would I stay at Hodges Bay Resort & Spa again?

ABSOLUTELY. Without hesitation.

10/10 doesn’t even cover it. 1,000/10.

The property is stunning, the accommodations are luxurious, the food was delicious, the location was convenient, and the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. But exceptional hospitality is ultimately about people—and Jean Marie made Hodges Bay unforgettable for us.

Hodges Bay, you have an absolute gem in her. ❤️

Wonderful relaxing location with a great room, daybreak and evenings in the hot tub and days at the beach. Good food for each meal. Staff were courteous and became like family in a short time
