Welcome to paradise! Set on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and with a back drop of 37 acres of landscaped tropical gardens, the Hawksbill is one of those holiday destinations that you will remember for a lifetime. The combination of stunning surroundings, wonderful weather and good quality facilities makes this a delightful destination.
The resort offers a choice of four secluded beaches, making this an ideal choice for sun lovers to escape the crowds and completely switch off and unwind. The island of Antigua is known for its laid back charm, and you'll find the atmosphere at the Hawksbill is completely in keeping.
The hotel itself presents a welcoming array of traditional Antiguan style bungalows dotting the shoreline. Garden bungalows are twin or double an offer attractive garden views. All have en suite facilities and feature a safe, ceiling fan and mini fridge. Superior sea view rooms and bungalows are available at a supplement.
The Hawksbill offers a perfect mix of amenities to offer guests the chance to unwind as well as some choices for leisure and amusement. In addition to the choice of beaches and a hotel pool, you will also be able to take advantage of the Wellness Centre. There is also choice of two restaurants and bars and a delicious selection of dishes and refreshments to tempt you.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Everything about this resort was incredible! The views, food, staff and security were top tier! I would highly recommend.
We really liked the experience. Spent 2 nights staycation in celebration of our anniversary, 17 years after we spent our Honeymoon at Hawksbill. The property, in general and staff, specifically did not disappoint. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The meals, especially lunch, could use some variety though. Overall, a great experience!
Had a very chilled and laid back 10 days in a beach front bungalow. Highlights - the beach, the sea, the West Indian Whistling Ducks, the WiFi, the wildlife, Amit, (restaurant manager), Brad, the best beach front barman in the World and all the gardening staff. We had a lovely time.
We stayed at Hawksbill Resort Antigua from 27 to 31 July 2026 and came away feeling that we had made a very good choice. Beautiful views, good food, excellent drinks, friendly people and enough to do when we felt like being active. Overall, I would comfortably give Hawksbill 4.5 out of 5.
The experience started before we even reached the resort. Our airport transfers to and from Hawksbill were very pleasant. Both drivers were warm and friendly, kept the conversation flowing and shared quite a bit of information about Antigua along the way. It was a nice introduction to the island when we arrived and an equally pleasant way to end the trip.
We stayed in a Superior Seaview Room and the view certainly lived up to the name. Waking up and looking out at the Caribbean Sea never got old. The room itself was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The air-conditioning worked well, the bed was comfortable and we had no problems with insects, maintenance or Wi-Fi in the room. I also really liked the large overhead rainfall-style shower heads in the bathroom.
The complimentary champagne/wine on arrival was another nice touch and set the tone for the stay.
The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. Julian, one of the waitresses, deserves a special mention. She had a light-hearted, amiable personality and was always attentive. It is often those little interactions with staff that you remember after a holiday and she certainly added to our experience.
Food was another strong point. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the main restaurant were buffet-style, with many different selections available. There was enough variety that we could try different things rather than feeling as though we were eating the same meals each day.
There are also two à la carte dining options where reservations are required for selected lunches and dinners. These offered another change of pace, with items such as burgers, wraps, jerk chicken, BBQ and sandwiches.
And the drinks? Top notch. No complaints from us there.
The setting is probably what I enjoyed most about Hawksbill. The beaches are beautiful and the infinity pool looking out towards the sea is one of those places where it is very easy to lose track of time. Whether we were sitting by the water, swimming or watching the sunset, the surroundings made it very easy to relax.
One small improvement would be the Wi-Fi coverage around the pool. The signal does not cover the entire pool area, so depending on where you sit, you may lose connection. It was hardly a deal-breaker for us, especially when the whole point was to switch off, but better coverage would still be useful.
If you do eventually get tired of lying by the beach or pool, there is plenty to keep you occupied. Kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing are included as part of the package. We went kayaking and really enjoyed getting out on the water and seeing the coastline from a different perspective.
The jet skiing was another highlight.
It is available at an additional cost through an operator on the beach and the gentleman running it was extremely accommodating, although unfortunately I never got his name. There was even a little room to negotiate the price, which we certainly did not complain about.
You can take the jet ski out by yourself or have him take you. We decided to go with him and I am glad we did because it became much more than just a jet-ski ride.
He took us along the coastline, showed us some of the other beaches and resorts, and brought us out to see a shipwreck just off the coast that we were told dated back to the early 1900s. We had not expected that at all and it turned out to be one of the more memorable experiences of the trip.
As for the atmosphere, Hawksbill suited us perfectly. It was quiet and relaxing without feeling dull. There was entertainment at night, but the resort never felt overly noisy or crowded. For couples looking for somewhere romantic where you can relax but still have things to do, I think it strikes a very good balance.
One thing worth knowing is that the resort is quite spread out and a little hilly. Depending on where your room is located, you may have a bit of walking to do to reach the main restaurant and other areas.
We did not mind it at all. After making full use of the buffet and drinks, the walk was probably doing us a favour anyway.
What really stood out to me in the end was the value for money. When I compare Hawksbill with the prices of other all-inclusive resorts in Antigua and on other Caribbean islands, I think it offers a very good overall package.
You get beautiful beaches, great views, comfortable accommodation, plenty of food choices, excellent drinks, friendly service, water activities and an atmosphere that actually allows you to relax.
We went to Antigua wanting exactly that and Hawksbill delivered.
Would I return? Definitely.
4.5/5.
We've just returned from our 3rd stay here. It was fantastic. The location is stunning. Some of the rooms are a bit tired but there is a gradual refurb programme of the rooms. One of our group had one of the newer rooms and it was great. The staff are excellent. A special shout out and thank you to Amit and David :-)
