This city hotel comprises a total of 193 rooms on 2 floors and facilities on offer include an entrance hall with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, 5 bars, a disco, a casino, a games room, a TV room, a restaurant, conference facilities and public Internet access. For an additional fee guests can make use of the room and laundry services, and there is parking available for those arriving by car.
Accommodation is offered in nine categories at the Caribbean Village. All rooms include air conditioning, a four-poster king-size mahogany bed, a ceiling fan, an amenity kit, a hairdryer, a telephone, an en suite bathroom with bathtub and shower, a safe, a CD clock radio, an iron and ironing board, cable TV, a coffee and tea maker and mini-fridge, restocked daily. A balcony or terrace also comes as standard.

No words! Just the best 🥰
We’ve just returned from the most amazing two‑week holiday at Sandals Grande Antigua, travelling as three couples, and I can honestly say it was a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience.
We stayed in the Sunset Bluff Club Level rooms, beautifully refurbished and overlooking one of the smaller, peaceful swimming pools. The setting was perfect — quiet, relaxing, and with stunning views that made every morning feel special.
The food was incredible, with so much choice and variety across all the restaurants. My absolute favourite was Kimonos — Teddy Bear was the funniest chef I’ve ever met and made the whole dining experience unforgettable.
The beach was breathtaking: crystal‑clear turquoise waters and soft white sand that felt like paradise every single day.
But what truly made the holiday exceptional was the staff. Every single person went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Julianna, in particular, was incredibly helpful throughout our visit and made such a difference to our experience.
Thank you, Sandals, for giving us a holiday we will never forget. It really was everything we hoped for and more.
SAVE YOURSELF AND AVOID
Literally horrible. The staff were so rude and cancelled our activity late night right before and didn’t tell us. They just said sorry here’s a refund like no….the whole reason we went there was to go on the water and you all ruined it. They had mosquitos everywhere and we complained about them in our room they ignored it. There was NO screen to a forced open window like what?!? Their food was mid the buffet was so bad like the food had been sitting for days even first thing in the morning. Literally avoid this place and save yourself time and money.
A truly fantastic 11 nights holiday, maybe one of our best as a couple!
Our second Sandals experience and for us our best to date. We decided on the One Bedroom Butler Suite and were given a room on the 6th floor of the Cypress Tower (Med side of the resort). We had checked in online the day before arriving so on arrival we were greeted by our butler (Sefra) who took us straight to our room. The room size and amenities were fantastic and was a great place to escape from the sun and relax in an air conditioned environment. Our butlers (Sefra, Jessica, Marvin and for the last few days Geffrey) looked after us from 0700-2200 everyday and gave us a mobile phone to use during our holiday to call them for anything we needed. They booked our restaurants every night (and escorted us to our table on each occasion), reserved our sunbeds by our favourite spot by the Med Pool daily along with a coolbox full our our favourite drinks and bottles of water. The hotel was around 40-50% full due the time of the year despite the butler being on hand to book everything in advance there always seemed to be plenty of space around. The hotel and its grounds were well looked after and a pleasure to walk around. The beach (like all beaches on Antigua) was a public beach and several security guards were posted at each entry / exit point and did random checks on coming back into the hotel. There were many traders on the beach, we always politely declined but bought some gifts on our last day from one of them who interacted with us. We never felt hassled from any of them. The beach and water was lovely and although not beach people we did enjoy some time each day in the water. Sandals offered some good free watersports - we used a double Kayak on several occasions, a catamaran once and a snorkeling trip on a reef about a mile out. They also offered paddleboards and diving trips but we didnt use these. We spent most of our time by the big main Med Pool and found it a relaxing environment. Towels were readily available and fresh ones on hand if needed. The pool bar was great and had everything you needed. The entertainment team played music and games daily and we didnt find this too loud or intrusive. Despite being on holiday, we all used our phones / tablets around the pool and the wifi coverage (everywhere) we found to be good. We used every restaurant twice except the Sushi bar which we didnt use at all (just not our thing) and found the food to be of good quality - we had no complaints. Our favourite was Kimono’s the Japanese restaurant where the cook in front of a group of 10 people and the Chef (in our case Justin from the Philippines) made it a great show with good food. We used the Spa once, enjoyed our massage but felt like most Spa’s to be expensive. Watch out for the Service charge on top of the quoted list price and then they ask you to leave a tip on top. They had tennis courts and a gym - but didnt use either. We used the onsite Tour company to book one trip - a trip out to see Turtles and Stingray in a perspex clear boat. 30 minute bus ride and then two hour boat trip followed by some home made punch and banana bread. Looked at external sites but felt the price in the hotel to be competitive. Nothing to do with Sandals, but being a cricket lover - we did go and watch a CPL T20 game at the Sir Vivian Richards stadium - Antigua and Barbuda Falcons v Guyana. A bucket list thing for me to do and a great experience show put on despite the Falcons losing. Tickets were just $13 including booking fee. Finally the people, everyone was friendly, chatty and helpful - regardless of their job - they made our holiday. Yes our Butlers made it even more special and we cannot them enough, but im sure even without them it would have been a great holiday.
If you want a relaxing holiday in a great location with good people, good food and good facilities i would highly recommend Sandals Antigua.
