We stayed at Valeria Jardins d'Agadir Resort from 20 August to 3 September 2026 as a large family group.
Unfortunately, our experience got off to a confusing start. Upon arrival, we were asked to leave our luggage in reception and wait, but no information was provided about when check-in would take place or where any of the hotel facilities were located. First impressions of the hotel were also disappointing. The resort was extremely busy and appeared tired and worn in places.
On a positive note, our rooms were clean and we were allocated adjoining rooms, which worked very well for our family. However, being on the ground floor meant the outside area was very limited and opened directly onto a busy footpath.
One issue that affected our stay throughout was a persistent drainage smell in various areas of the hotel. On some days, the odour, which appeared to be coming from the soil pipe system, was particularly strong and unpleasant. We raised this with hotel management during our stay, but unfortunately the problem was never resolved.
The dining area was spacious and offered a reasonable selection of food. However, we found ourselves sticking mainly to the freshly cooked BBQ options after four out of seven members of our group became ill for several days during our holiday.
The pool and slide areas are large and popular with families. However, there are not enough sunbeds to accommodate guests during peak summer periods, and there were some noticeable maintenance concerns around the pool area.
A particularly serious issue related to health and safety. At approximately 5:30pm, while the pool was open and supervised, my 9-year-old daughter stepped into a hole in the drainage channel surrounding the pool and her leg went all the way down. Thankfully, she only suffered a minor graze, but the outcome could easily have been far more serious.
What was particularly concerning was that I have no way of knowing how long the hole had been exposed before the incident occurred. We reported it to reception immediately, yet it remained uncovered at 10:00am the following morning. I then spoke directly with the hotel manager at around 10:30am, and to her credit she arranged for repairs to be carried out shortly afterwards. Nevertheless, the exposed hole presented a significant health and safety risk, especially given the number of families and children using the pool area.
Overall, we found this hotel disappointing and it did not meet our expectations. While the rooms were clean and the adjoining room allocation suited our family well, the poor arrival experience, persistent drainage odour, illness within our party, shortage of sunbeds and the serious poolside safety issue significantly impacted our holiday. Unfortunately, we would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

We had a great week here and would definitely recommend the hotel.
We arrived on Sunday 4th in the evening and were met by a really friendly reception team. Registration was simple, with the usual forms to complete, all in English, and we were in our room within 15 minutes of arriving.
The hotel is in a great location, with shops directly opposite and on either side. The outside has a lovely traditional Moroccan feel, and once inside, the ceilings and decoration are amazing.
Our room was great. We were in Block 7 on the top floor, looking towards the pool. There were plenty of trees between us and the pool area, which helped block any potential noise and also gave us some privacy. The room had crisp white walls, traditional dark wood and red-painted doors and wardrobes, a huge comfortable bed and really effective air conditioning.
The bathroom was also good, with a nice shower and everything was very clean. Our room was refreshed every day without fail and was always clean and tidy when we returned after lunch.
The main pool area is large, with a bar, terracotta tiled flooring and plenty of sunbeds, as well as lots of areas where you can find some shade. We saw the pool being cleaned two or three times during our stay. We didn't spend much time around the smaller pool and slides, but whenever we walked through, this area also looked very clean, with plenty of sunbeds available.
The restaurant was what you would expect from an all-inclusive hotel, but the variety of food was really good. The outdoor BBQ was always grilling something that smelled and tasted great. Our waiter was very attentive, making sure we had chilled rosé on our table at lunchtime and crisp white wine in the evening. He looked after us extremely well throughout the week.
Each evening had a different theme and there was always plenty of choice, including simpler options if you're a little more particular with food.
The bar staff were brilliant. Always good fun, smiling and quick to serve. The bar was also a lovely place to sit and relax when you wanted to escape the intense heat for a while.
The entertainment team were also really friendly and were always circulating and chatting with guests. There were well-choreographed dance shows and various games and activities throughout the week. A special mention has to go to Simba, who spent a lot of time chatting with us during our stay. He was a genuinely great guy and helped make our week even more enjoyable.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back to this hotel the next time we visit Agadir.

The hotel has a lovely traditional Moroccan feel, with amazing decoration inside. We stayed on the top floor of Block 7 overlooking the pool. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a huge bed, great air conditioning and a nice bathroom. It was cleaned and refreshed every day.
The main pool area was large, clean and had plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas. The food was also very good for an all-inclusive, with plenty of variety and different themes each evening. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor BBQ. Our waiter was excellent throughout the week and always made sure we were well looked after.
The bar staff were brilliant, always smiling, friendly and quick to serve. The entertainment team were equally welcoming, with shows, games and activities throughout the week. A special mention to Simba, who regularly stopped to chat with us and was a genuinely great guy.
Overall, a really enjoyable stay with friendly staff, good food, clean facilities and a great atmosphere.
We would definitely stay here again next time we're in Agadir.
