This hotel is ideally located right on the enchanting Bay of Agadir, just 100 meters from the fine, white sand of the beach and only just 300 m away from the lively downtown; 30 minutes to the airport, 10 minutes walked from City Center and 05 minutes to the beach. This Hotel is a beyond perfect holiday resort, set in magnificent grounds with a large, well-equipped, secure play area for children and tiny tots, tennis courts and a heated outdoor swimming pool area. Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. After dipping into one of the 2 outdoor swimming pools, you can spend some time at the private beach. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and an arcade/games room.
Good points: Staff very hardworking, rooms cleaned daily, excellent animation team entertaining residents day & night. Food actually very good! Bad points: Bed linen, mattresses, towels etc very old, stained and torn. Location isn’t the best, Agadir sometimes, (depending on the direction of the wind) has an aroma of rotten fish, I believe this is from the fish processing plant, even with the balcony door closed the smell managed to get into the room. Our balcony in block 1 backed onto the bins area. It’s wasn’t pleasant, we didn’t spend anytime on our balcony. Cutlery, mugs, cups etc constantly run out, I was constantly asking for a knife & fork, ( wished I taken my own) Not the fault of the hotel but in Agadir there are so many people begging, especially very young children very late at night. It’s upsetting, not somewhere I’d chose to visit again, or recommend

Fantastic Vacation again from start to finish we arrived later than normal & greeted by french fram entertainment guy Yassir who sorted out our bands , forms and food he was very helpful then took time out to speak whenever he saw us .The food was very good for us especially the barbeque on a lunchtime all the restaurant staff were nice even the Managers would take time out to speak when extremely busy but some staff really stood out with their excellent Customer service Ayoub ,Badr,Mohamed and Soufiane The rooms are set out nice ,plenty of room for clothing to hang and a mushroom shower in the bathroom the maids clean the room daily and change towel and are very pleasant. All the bar staff are very helpful and soon remember what you like different times of the day( a cool beer at lunchtime and a coffee after lunch,.downfall the beer was sometimes not cold enough due to the demand for it. A big shout out for Houssin,Zovhir,Abdolah,Jamal,Otmane and Youssef. The private beach is clean just a 5 minute walk away and is looked after by an attendant who is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area .We would recommend this hotel for the young and old it has a good pool activity and quiet beach for relaxing hope to be back next year
My mum and I stayed at the Kenzi Europa for 7 nights in early September. My mum has heart failure and while she can walk very short distances and she can not do steps, therefore she uses an electric wheelchair to get around. Before we went I tried to find out what the hotel was like for people in wheelchairs or with mobility issues and found very little information to help us, so hopefully this review will be useful.
Positives: -The location is ideal, very close to the beach and central promenade with all its shops and restaurants. The hotel has a ramp up to the main entrance and automatic doors which made coming and going easy. If it wasn't for this our holiday would have been miserable.
-The rooms are lovely. We initially given room 1305 and was moved down to 1004 when we asked at reception. They moved us without question or complaint and that was appreciated. The 2 rooms were basically identical (can't comment on any other rooms) and were nicely accessible. The wheelchair could move around the room quite freely, the beds where a nice height and although the wheelchair couldn't get into the bathroom it was fine. The shower was nice and big so we could easily put one of the patio chairs in there. There isn't a rail next to the toilet which would have made that better but overall the room was good.
-The patio area was big enough to be able to bring a sunbed into it and was a lovely suntrap until early afternoon.
-They have obviously made some attempts at making the place accessible but there's still a long way to go.
Negatives: Now where to begin?...
to the right of the check in desk there are double doors that lead to the shop, pharmacy, barbers and crucially the luggage room. To get into the section there is a step of about 6 inches to get down making it extremely difficult to get into.
the foyer toilets are downstairs via a marble circular staircase that even for an able bodied adult were difficult.
-from the foyer there were 2 further heavy glass doorways that lead to the main body if the hotel. Of these 1 was a slope and 1 was a smallish step which was a little too high for the wheelchair to be able to take.
out here to the right there are the pool area toilets, with a nice large disabled toilet and baby change table. However there was no lock on the door and the toilet rail was coming out of the wall and couldn't take any weight without it coming further away from the wall.
next is where things really begin to go downhill. Or rather uphill to the snack bar. This is the only place to get drinks through the day and has 3 access routes. The first is a steep cobbled slope with intermittent slabs in place. However these slabs are just the right distance apart for the wheelchair wheels to get stuck making it totally inaccessible. The second is a stairway. And the third is a lovely, easily accessible slope. Fantastic hey! Except no. To get to the slope you have to 'walk' through the pool area except...
the pool area. This consists of 3 sections the kiddies area where the access path to the snackbar begins, the main pool and the slide pool. In all of these areas the sunbeds are tightly packed and and are all reserved by midnight for the following day. The area is extremely full with barely space to physically walk around and no chance of an electric wheelchair safely passing through. Making the pool area and snackbar impossible for us. With being on the ground floor I was able to 'steal' a sunbed to put on the patio which helped but was somewhat isolating.
next to the actual housing block. We were in block 1 and so can only speak for block 1. The entrance to the block was a highish step and a slope. However, this slope could potentially be so dangerous. It is more or less the same width as the wheelchair, fairly steep and crucially has no rail or raised edges. We had to make sure that we were perfectly aligned to get up/down it and I would have to hold the wheelchair as the slightest wobble would have meant falling off the side. We mentioned this to the TUI rep but he either didn't understand what we were saying or didn't care.
there are 2 (very slow) tiny lifts to the higher floors. But these are tiny, mum's wheelchair basically filled it and I had to squeeze in as best I could.
the food. The food is awful. I am the least fussy person ever but I have struggled here. The meals are basically exactly the same lunch and dinner every day, are poor quality and just not nice. So we ate out a couple of times, which is something we've never done at an AI before, we can usually manage. If I say that the best meal we had each day was bread and jam at breakfast you might get the idea.
All in all it's been more or less ok. Agadir is beautiful and we will definitely visit again, but we'd give the Kenzi Europa a very wide berth. They have tried but ultimately, failed.
Lovely clean hotel, made very special by the staff . The entertainment team were very friendly snd spoke to everyone around the pool every day . The pool boys Armed and Jamal couldn't do enough for us we were truly spoilt by them . The bar waiter that wore glasses sorry I forgot his name made sure our glasses were never empty . We loved the barbecue at lunch the food was gorgeous. The breakfast was lovely . I didn't enjoy the evening meal , I found everything was overcooked and tasted the same . We would definitely return to the hotel . Thank you for a lovely holiday.
