This hotel is ideally located right on the enchanting Bay of Agadir, just 100 meters from the fine, white sand of the beach and only just 300 m away from the lively downtown; 30 minutes to the airport, 10 minutes walked from City Center and 05 minutes to the beach. This Hotel is a beyond perfect holiday resort, set in magnificent grounds with a large, well-equipped, secure play area for children and tiny tots, tennis courts and a heated outdoor swimming pool area. Just to complete the leisure and wellbeing experience for guests, additional facilities include a relaxing, rejuvenating, therapeutic Spa, fitted out with a steam room and user-friendly fitness equipment, with exotic overtones – the opulence and authenticity of Moorish therapy.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. After dipping into one of the 2 outdoor swimming pools, you can spend some time at the private beach. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and an arcade/games room.
We had a fabulous 5 night stay at the Kenzi Europa.
Check in: we arrived after midnight and even before checking in, were immediately shown to the restaurant where a hot buffet and soft drinks were available.
We were then booked in and concierge brought our cases to the room.
Room: we were pleasantly surprised to find we had been allocated a 1 bedroom suite. The bathroom was big, with a powerful walk in shower. Toiletries were nice.
Lounge: huge, with a large sofa that would easily seat 8, a balcony, large tv, small fridge, tea and coffee facilities and a lot of storage, including a free safe in the wardrobe.
Bedroom: largest and most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in abroad. Worth Notting the pillows were pretty hard!
Housekeeping was daily and the room was exceptionally clean.
Pool: yes it can feel crowded because it’s a smaller hotel but we didn’t struggle for a sunbed. We usually arrived at pool around 11am and we would ask the pool guy for help finding two beds, he sorted us everytime (we did tip him a few times).
Pool bar: exceptional service and variety of snacks. The cocktails in particular are excellent for all inclusive. My partner enjoyed the local beer.
Entertainment team: A highlight of the holiday. The daytime entertainment was strongest, the staff really did well engaging holiday makers. We thoroughly enjoyed darts and water polo in particular. The evening entertainment was a bit hit or miss but still enjoyable.
Food: a real highlight for my partner in particular. Plenty of beef, fish, seafood, tangine and salads. Very clean. Table service for drinks. Could be queues for coffee machine at breakfast but who is in a rush on holiday! Bbq’s at lunchtime were also a hit.
Check out: quick and easy. Luggage storage and courtesy room.
Local area: nice enough, normal to be slightly harassed walking through shopping areas with people trying to attract you into the shops. No prices, seem to make them up as you go. Haggle! Agree taxi price before you get in.
Warning - I got bitten by a kitten when reaching under sunbed for sunglasses, albeit not at this hotel and require the full course of rabies vaccines on return to UK. Do not stroke the cats and dogs, Morocco is extremely high risk for rabies!
A Very Disappointing Experience – Kenzi Europa Agadir
Unfortunately, my experience at Kenzi Europa Agadir was far below what I expected from a hotel claiming to be a four-star property.
The food and kitchen quality were extremely disappointing. The quality of the meals was poor, and the overall dining experience did not meet the standards expected from a hotel of this category.
The cleanliness was also a major concern. Several aspects of hygiene and maintenance clearly need serious improvement. The service was not good at all, with staff and overall organization falling short of what guests should reasonably expect.
The hotel also felt extremely crowded and poorly managed, with the capacity and organization seemingly not suited to the number of guests. The management should seriously reconsider the way the hotel operates and improve its organization, cleanliness, food quality, and customer service.
The rooms are probably the only acceptable aspect of the hotel, but even that is not enough to justify the claimed classification.
In my opinion, the hotel does not deserve a four-star rating, and I would even question whether it currently meets the standards of a three-star hotel. A complete review of the hotel's standards, management, hygiene, food service, and customer experience is urgently needed.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend the hotel in its current condition. Caroline & family Belgium
Fourth time at this hotel and every time we visit it gets better and better. Arrived late in the evening and restaurant was kept open as normal then straight to the world bar. All the staff are amazing and so friendly, the hotel is spotless and we enjoyed the food. The rooms are so nice, all modern and refurbished, fridge in room, coffee and tea and kettle. Rooms cleaned every day as are all the floors and lifts, inside and out. Reception staff very helpful. Entertainment team always said hello every morning to us even though we didn’t participate in the games but good choice of music. The pool staff are fantastic from Ahmed who always checked if we needed anything. He knows I have skin cancer and always made sure I had an umbrella to the pool bar staff, again very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a good spot, a couple of minutes to the beach. The restaurant manager Mustafa is very helpful and sorted out food to take up to our room for my husband who was unwell (not any fault of the hotel) Last but not least is our favourite person AZİZ who is a wonderful man, always looking after us and especially my 82yr old father. We are going to miss Aziz and wish him well on his retirement.
Very happy with our holiday. The hotel is in a great location close to all amenities (airport shops beach and crocpark to name a few things) The rooms are tidy spacious and clean. Bed is also huge! It’s an affordable holiday and would definitely recommend this hotel. The food caters to all which is nice and the snack bar serves a really nice turkey wrap! The pool is a good size and the water slides are a blast! Loved it! Lastly but most importantly the entertainment team, I wanted to name the 3 lads who made our stay as they deserve the credit! (Yass, Anwar and Yoro) they just keep going all day from morning to evening they bring the energy! They have time for everyone and it really does make you feel welcome. From Bringing the laughs to bringing you up to the dance floor they really do entertain. Not sure how they do it but they smash! I will miss the competitive water polo 🤣 wish they could be at every Suneo, Big thanks lads! 🙌🏻
Good points: Staff very hardworking, rooms cleaned daily, excellent animation team entertaining residents day & night. Food actually very good! Bad points: Bed linen, mattresses, towels etc very old, stained and torn. Location isn’t the best, Agadir sometimes, (depending on the direction of the wind) has an aroma of rotten fish, I believe this is from the fish processing plant, even with the balcony door closed the smell managed to get into the room. Our balcony in block 1 backed onto the bins area. It’s wasn’t pleasant, we didn’t spend anytime on our balcony. Cutlery, mugs, cups etc constantly run out, I was constantly asking for a knife & fork, ( wished I taken my own) Not the fault of the hotel but in Agadir there are so many people begging, especially very young children very late at night. It’s upsetting, not somewhere I’d chose to visit again, or recommend
