We stayed at the Iberostar Waves Founty Beach for a week from 29th July to 5th August and had a wonderful stay. The jewel in the crown for the hotel, without a shadow of a doubt, are the staff. From the moment we arrived they couldn't do enough for us. They are a credit to the hotel and to Morocco. Our room was for three people and was clean, spacious and well presented. It was cleaned beautifully on a daily basis. The food was excellent. We ate in the main buffet restaurant every evening where choice was plentiful and varied. Breakfast was superb and lunchtimes were spent at the pool bar with pizza, burgers, salad, pasta etc on offer. Come 4pm, the pool bar offers doughnuts and pancakes which went down extremely well. The drinks are spot on with a good choice of delicious cocktails available. Evening entertainment is good with various themed nights and the Azure bar provides live music every night which we loved . The promenade, directly outside the hotel, is beautiful and well worth a walk out on an evening. Very safe, relaxed and comfortable. There is a security gate leading onto the promenade and on a few occasions we saw under 18s attempting to leave without parents. The security guards there, would not allow them to leave without a parent coming up to give consent which we thought was excellent. The beach is across the promenade with a section fenced off for hotel with a security guard. The sea is fab to swim in and jumping the waves was great fun. All in all, we had a wonderful holiday. The Moroccan people are so friendly and everyone we met made us so welcome. We would happily visit Morroco again and wouldn't think twice about staying at this lovely hotel. Thank you to all who made our holiday so enjoyable. Also a big thanks to Swanley Steve who was the Chas to my Dave!
To all the management and all the staff at Iberostar Waves Founty Beach.
We stay here from 17th July through to 25th July 2026. I must say what a great time I had staying here. The staff were so friendly and polite from the check in staff, cleaners, kitchen staff, entertainment team to the bar staff. All are a credit to Iberostar Founty Beach family. I see how hard all the staff work to cater for everyone staying there. The food in the restaurant was so nice and such a wide variety to cater for all. There are a few names that I just have to mention. From the entertainment team Salah-al-a-din and Waleed (hope I spelt both names right), Fifi and above all Mario who kept on calling me ranger (my name is Ranjan....LOL). From the bar staff Khaleed (hope I spelt that name right as well) who every night when he was working in would ask when we were in the bar "how are you ? What can I do for you ? What can I get for you ?" an all round top guy. There was a young lady working in the restaurant during breakfast service possibly from 20th July through to 22nd July on the grilled sandwich counter whose name I did not get. She looked in discomfort and when I asked if she was OK she said there is an issue with my wisdom teeth. But still she managed to be polite and smile even through the pain and complete all the customers orders during breakfast service. I would like to know her name and if she ever solved the problem with her wisdom teeth.
Please pin this review up in all staff rest areas to let everyone who works there that all their effort and hard does not go unnoticed but very much appreciated.
My regards to all at Iberostar Waves Founty Beach hope to meet you all again soon.
Amazing hotel in agadir, I would love to come back
First impressions....welcoming reception and staff. Check in was slightly delayed, but we were upgraded to a room with a screened wall for the third bed and a garden view. Stepped out straight towards the pool. The pool area was well maintained, the sunbeds could do with an upgrade, but we managed to get a cabana by doing the 6am towel drop!!! Pool restaurant food was ample at lunchtime to save getting dressed for the main restaurant, but the food choices in the main restaurant were varied and enjoyable, highly recommend the fresh pasta station. Swerve the Moroccan restaurant, lacks atmosphere, flavour and apart from not having to self serve, hardly worthwhile in our opinion. The staff made the place!! They were all amazing, went above and beyond to make you feel part of the family. Entertainment lacked variety but the staffs enthusiasm is second to none!! They honestly put their all into every show. The live singer was amazing. Weather was hit and miss, but hey that's not the hotels fault. Overall we had a lovely time away and with a few tweaks the hotel could be 5 star.
We loved our trip to Agadir and this hotel. Don’t let the sea mist comments put you off. One of the best tans Ive ever had even with some overcast mornings. Normally by afternoon it’s clear blue sky and you are wishing for it again. Hotel staff are amazing especially the activities team. We were a family of 3 and 15 year old and husband took part in a lot of sports activities and there is a teen club every night with table football and video games and they even played cards. My son loved it. Food there is something for everyone and my son and husband enjoyed everything. I’m quite fussy but salad selection was always fresh and huge selection. I used the gym a few mornings and it’s pretty decent. I only used treadmills but seemed to be lots of other equipment. The entertainment is hit and miss. Live bands were pretty good although some events were cancelled due to World Cup being shown on big stage screen and this was done with is. Plenty of sun beds and no issues but if you want front line to pool you have to be early. The pools are massive and the only negative comment I would have is they are very deep. All one depth with no shallow end apart from one section which is quite small but there is a kids splash pool if you have little ones. The kids club looked amazing and people we spoke to said it was brilliant. The rooms are not dated but quite basic but plenty of room. Maid was excellent and no issues with cleaning. Water coolers all over the hotel and you have a carafe and glasses on your room, a fridge and the safe. I had no issues with the water at all.
The promenade is right outside the back gate and shops and restaurants a 10 min walk away out front or back. Taxis always available outside hotel but negotiate before you go and if you are unsure how much to pay ask one of the activities team. Fifi was excellent if you need to ask any questions.
We just used hotel to change money as it was hardly worth looking for a few dirhams more anywhere else and there is also a bank machine in the lobby.
We will definitely go back😍
