This was our 2nd visit to the Iberostar Waves Founty Beach and we have to say that we were not disappointed! When we arrived the staff remembered us and we felt like we had never left. We felt at home. The reception desk staff are extremely polite, courteous and helpful. They will go above and beyond the call of duty to help you. We want to say a special thank you to: El Araby, Marwan and Oumaïma.
Our room was perfect (3232) We had a balcony and a great view of the pool and sea. The room was clean as the chambermaids worked really hard at keeping everything clean. Hats off to Sarah and her team of friendly and courteous ladies. The bellhops and security team are just great. They are friendly and so helpful. A special thank you to Majid and Hassan.
The food at the buffet was excellent and we always were able to find something to our liking. We particularly enjoyed the area where they served Moroccan specialties. The dessert table is fabulous! The staff is also amazing, they work hard and always have a smile on their face. A special thank you to Yassine (waiter) and Meriam who served mint tea. You could also get breakfast and lunch at the restaurant by the sea. At night, with a reservation at the front desk, you could go to the Moroccan à la carte restaurant (lovely) or you could make a reservation at the restaurant by the sea which was converted into a lovely seafood restaurant (such great service). I would also like to mention the great work of the bartenders, they are friendly and polite. They make great drinks and when your are indecisive they will make great suggestions. I would like to highlight the effective work of the lovely lady (I do not remember her name) working at the lobby bar. She did a great job!
The pool area is great and we were always able to find chairs and umbrellas. The water was great because during our stay the temperature was around 38 degrees Celsius. We enjoyed walks on the beach and on the promenade during the day and the evening as well. We felt very safe. In the evening it was lovely to see locals and their families enjoying themselves.
The site is in itself magnificent. The gardeners and maintenance crew work very hard from sunrise to sunset to carry out the maintenance of the premises. Gentlemen, keep up the great work.
The entertainment team is expertly managed by Walid and they do everything possible to entertain you, even in the evening. For families with small children, they have a "star camp" that will entertain your children throughout the day.
Every other evening, you will find musicians and vendors in the lobby area, one sells jewelry and the other sells products from Morocco such as argan oil, creams, spices, handmade soaps at a very reasonable price. There are also musicians that come and entertain you in the evening. There is also a professional photographer (Saïd) who works out of the lobby area. He takes very good and candid pictures of you throughout your holidays at a very good price. I would also like to highlight the exceptional work of Yassine, who is the director of client relations.
There are plenty of activities to do in Agadir. Cable cars to go and see the Kasbah, visit the city and learn its history, the souk, the medina. You can go for a buggy ride in the desert, go hiking in Paradise valley, go for a boat ride (the marina is not far) as well as visiting other cities nearby. You will not be bored because Morocco has history and culture to be discovered.
We had a great holiday and would go back in a heartbeat! We feel that a great holiday is a combination of many factors. Great location, great hotel and especially great staff that make your stay pleasant.

What a brilliant holiday we had at the Waves Founty Beach Hotel. Just what we needed The room was great and the view we had of the sea made it memorable. Plenty of sunbeds. The pools were a little cold (probably a good thing in the heat) but once you were in the were lovely. The weather was perfect. 42* when we arrived and 38* when we left. One of the amazing things was the beach. There were hundreds of people on it at 1am in the morning. Special mention to our room maid and Tahar in the restaurent. So attentive and friendly and they bought a smile to our faces every day. Tahar you are a star. Iberostar give him a raise and make sure you keep him. The people on Reception were excellent as well. One of the most thoughfull things was the fresh water machines set on every floor and the afternoon doughnuts were another nice touch. Now onto the entetainment team. Tarik you were a credit to Morrocco and yourself and family. What an entertainer and so nice with it. So much energy. So many others to thank as well. Ben, Sed, Adyl and the lovely Hanone and everyone else in the team. Thank you for so much fun. The evening entertainment dancers were so good as well. The only drawback was not the hotel or staff, it was the vapers. We met the Adams Family who were so disrespectful to other holidaymakers and rude with it. Anyway to counter them, we met so many lovely people and if you'd like a nice hotel to go to next year with such fantastic people, and remember it just 3 1/2 hours away, try this hotel out. This is our 2nd visit to Founty Beach and I have to say I am disappointed with several aspects of the hotel on this visit. The room we had was really nice with a big walk in shower that had great water pressure and the temperature stayed the same. We had a really nice view, although it was a bit of a walk from reception due to the layout of the hotel as it’s in a big U shape. Breakfast choice was pretty good in the buffet restaurant but the 4 of us were disappointed with the options for lunch and dinner compared to other Iberostar hotels we have stayed at. Quite a lot of fish but not many meat options. A few of the bar staff were good but a few of the waiters were not very friendly. My wife had asked to change her glass as someone else’s lipstick was on it, and he brought back another glass with lipstick on it as well and when she asked to change again, he just never bothered coming back. I also saw him in his mobile phone having a conversation while he was the only one serving and kept people waiting even though there was a queue. He was not nice. My memory of our previous visit several years ago was very different. They all seem to be more interested in the golfing parties, probably as they were tipping bigger. And that brings me to my last point…..there were loads of golfing parties. I don’t have anything against this, but they got very rowdy and getting drunk with staff seeming to accept this. It spoiled the relaxed atmosphere we remembered from before and were looking fo.
Very poor service in hotel, AC not working proprly, not enought lights in room, very poor quality bed and pillow, phone in the room not working properly.. very disappointing.. when complaint they dont bother resolving issues..
Lovely location at the quieter end of Agadir, right on the beach, amazing hotel, spotlessly clean, great value for money, plenty to see in Agadir, if you are staying in the rooms around the pool it will be noisy, because the evening entertainment is outside, the pools are lovely, and are heated in the winter months, The staff work so hard and cannot do enough to make your holiday experience wonderful, they are so friendly, in the dinning room, bar staff, porters, cleaners, Entertainment staff, waiter, waitresses, they are all amazing. Our favourite spot to relax was around the pool or up on the terrace with a gin & tonic, or a cocktail, you must visit the souk al had it will blow your mind, also we went on the cable car up to the kasbar at night to see Agadir lit up was magical, and take the little train around Agadir it will show you the town and it's good to see were you are, taxis are a good price. Agadir is a safe place, staff are very knowledgeable. The sea is very rough at times, we did a lot of research on YouTube before we went, and glad we did. Are staying was amazing, the food at this hotel was out of this world, some very traditional Moroccan food, theme nights, English, more like a 5*. Morocans speak French and English very well.....
