Good price and great location in Agadir Bay. Restaurants and everything you need are very close. This is my second time here, and I will come back again
When I checked in and was given my room I discovered that it did not have a balcony which was what I had booked. I went back to the reception and the chap there was rather dismissive and said he had given me a nicer room instead. I pointed out that he had not, as it did not have the balcony I had asked for. I asked to look at the room that I had booked and he grudgingly sent another man with me to see it.
I believe that the "nicer" room was probably more aesthetically pleasing, as in, it had recently been painted... its small window over looked the pool. I took the room that I had requested, and moved my things. Unfortunately, the shower door did not shut - I was not about to really slam it to try it, as the catch had rusted up, so it had been like it a while, the sliding doors to my balcony did not lock, so I wedged them with the footstalls being that I was only on the first floor. And also the wifi connected with 1 bar, in the bathroom and nothing if you walked properly into the room, so presumably the router was too far away for anything up that end.
I know I should have gone an complained about these things but I really didn't feel that there was any point, and for the first time in all the places I've been - and I've visited 70 countries on my own, I felt that I would just be dismissed, so I didn't bother. Sadly this was the overall vibe that I got while in Agadir, which is really sad considering I've been in Morocco for 2 weeks in 5 locations and been met with nothing but kindness everywhere else.
The pool area was nice - it was rather windy, but that's not down to the hotel, but I would imagine thats a big plus when its really hot. I will say that I really liked the bedroom design, having it in the middle of the unit, with an open window style, so you could get natural daylight in.
a grewt hotel stayed for 10 nights hotel very cleam room cleaned every day fresh towrls the maid was. amazing checked we had everything pool great towlels given every day breakfast was great good selection off food and drinks all staff friendly and always keen to help iif u needed anything no bar which didn't bother me tbh as you could walk 10 mins away to get a beer etc location is good and can het a taxi anywhere for 50 dirhams i would highly recommend this hotel
VERY RACIST. I had an extremely distressing experience at this hotel and would not recommend it, particularly to families or anyone who is not Moroccan. We had paid for an extra sofa bed and were told at check-in that it would be provided as soon as possible. After waiting five hours, I returned to reception to ask about it. The two men at reception were dismissive and told me to come back the following morning. I explained that I was travelling alone with my two-year-old child, who needed to sleep, and that this was not acceptable.
One of the men then began verbally abusing me in Arabic and became aggressive and threatening. Another staff member had to restrain him as he appeared to be about to physically attack me while I was holding my child.
I also witnessed what appeared to be racist verbal abuse directed at other guests of Pakistani and South Asian descent. I recorded part of the incident because I was extremely concerned about what was happening.
I was told that I was not welcome in the country and should “go back,” and was told that British people were not welcome. The following day, when I left, both men laughed and made further derogatory comments about British people.
When I asked for their names, they threw their staff badges towards me, almost hitting my child in the face while I was carrying him.
Despite paying for an extra sofa bed, we never received it. Instead, I was subjected to verbal abuse, intimidation and what felt like an imminent physical assault. As a lone female travelling with a young child, I found the entire experience frightening and unacceptable.
I have travelled to many places, and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. I strongly recommend that management investigate the behaviour of these staff members and review any available CCTV or recordings of these incidents.
We stayed in the junior suite room on the 1st floor The staff were all very friendly and nice to interact with. The room on the other hand was completely run down, had ants everywhere, and was clearly not cleaned as well as it should’ve been. There were stains on lots of couch cushions and curtains around the room. The terrace attached to our room was also connected to 2 other rooms so it was awkward to use. The air vent also was leaking onto the terrace (which was attempted to be repaired with a water bottle) so it smelt awful and was unpleasant to sit outside. There also was no microwave in the kitchen The pool was very nice but was filled with children, so it was not ideal to use to relax in at all. It was about a 15 minute walk from the beach, but the road was a construction zone and very dusty. It was also uphill to get back to the hotel. We asked the front desk for towels and it took them 1.5 hours to bring them to us after asking 5 times. The breakfast was not bad, as they had an omelette making station which was very much. Overall, very unsatisfied with the stay. The pictures online were definitely misleading on the quality. This hotel is more of a 2 star hotel!!
