Luxury, authenticity, confidentiality, modernity, Four words that perfectly define the style of the Savoy Grand Hotel in Marrakech. Located in the heart of the prestigious Hivernage quarter, arguably the most distinguished address in the red city. Our sumptuous 5 stars hotel let you enjoy a picturesque view over the Great Atlas mountains, proximity to Jamaa el Fna square and the Menara, all in a unique atmosphere. Central to The Savoy Grand Hotel's prominence is its old-world grace and charm, blended effortlessly with contemporary comforts and amenities. In its unique blend of warmth and welcome and assiduous attention to service, The Savoy Grand Hotel is a true ambassador of the Moroccan hospitality experience.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This is hopeless third class hotel never ever stay at this hotel , AC not working you remain to sleep in 35 degree temprature, toilet is dirty , staff totally non cooperative , I don't recommend any one to even look at this hotel any time or if you see Savoy any where in world never stay even in free stay .
Lovely and welcoming staff. Special thanks to Chaimae, Dounia, Kavvtar and supervisor Sahar. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Another amazing stay.
I have stayed at the Savoy Marrakech almost every year for the past 10 years. I celebrated my 30th birthday here and returned last year to celebrate my mum's 60th birthday, so writing this review is genuinely disappointing.
Unfortunately, this was by far the worst stay I have experienced.
The room I was given was not the room I have always booked and stayed in, and it looked nothing like the room advertised on the hotel’s website. There was also a persistent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom throughout our stay, we repeatedly had to ask for towels and bottled water, and after extending our stay, we returned to find the room had not even been cleaned.
To make matters worse, we saw cockroaches in the hotel lobby, which was very surprising for a hotel of this standard.
The biggest issue, however, was the customer service.
After checking out, I realised I had accidentally left my keys in the room. I immediately called the hotel from the airport after being advised that, if the keys could be retrieved quickly, I might still make my flight.
On two separate occasions, members of the reception/back-office team ended the calls before I had finished explaining the situation or before offering any meaningful assistance. As a result, I missed my flight and had to remain in Morocco overnight before travelling home the following day.
As a woman travelling alone, this was an incredibly stressful situation that I believe could have been avoided had someone simply been willing to help.
When I eventually returned to the hotel, my keys were still exactly where I had left them. The only member of staff who showed any kindness, professionalism or willingness to help was the concierge, who was excellent throughout and is a credit to the hotel.
What has disappointed me most is not just the stay itself but the way my complaint has been handled. Despite acknowledging some of the issues, the hotel has completely failed to address the missed flight, the additional costs I incurred, or the lack of assistance that led to the situation.
After almost a decade of loyalty, I never expected to leave feeling this disappointed. Sadly, I can no longer recommend the Savoy Marrakech.
Super nice Pool Really nice environment and service really nice. The moment you enter you feel welcome, from the people at the door through the reception & Bar. BUT really bad air inside, as the people are smoking inside! We were there with family, and with the heat outside we were badly missing fresh air. We had to end dinner on the hot terrace :-(
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my friend, this was our second time in Marrakech after staying at the Sofitel last year. We did know about the building works before hand, we weren't affected by any noise as we didn't stay at the hotel most days but the front of the hotel and around the pool looks like a building site in places, they play loud music around the pool some say to drown out the building noise so if that isn't your style this hotel isn't for you . The service at this hotel is beyond shocking and some of the staff are rude and have attitude problems, we asked 4 different waiters around the pool for water and none of them brang it. There was one night where a part of the hotel around the pool was taped off so we had to go a different way out, there was a security guard standing there and we asked for directions to buddah bar which is outside, he was very rude and said to my friend 'don't you speak English' he actually walked off and refused to help us. The food is not nice but that's standard at most places in Marrakech A plus is the rooms are spacious and clean. The customer service is not up to standard and Sofitel is miles above. I would not stay here again.
