This hotel is located right in the heart of the old Medina, only 2 minutes walk from the entrance of the Souks Market, and also 2 minutes from the Museum of Marrakech and the Medersa Ben Youssef. Menara - Marrakech Airport is only 5 kilometres away. The famous and magic Place Djemma el Fnaa is only 8 minutes walk. Guests will be able to enjoy a summer plunge pool and several lounge areas both in the courtyards and also on the large terraces. They will also enjoy the view of the Atlas Mountains or all round the Riad, the roofs of the old Medina of Marrakech. The hotel also has sauna, massage rooms, hammam, pub, restaurant, day trips, car rental, and internet access.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had an amazing time at Riad Karmela. The riad is a calming oasis in the heart of the Medina. We enjoyed shopping in the souk and watching the World Cup in the square. Every single staff member was so genuinely kind, helpful, and welcoming. The staff truly made our stay. They went above and beyond every day for us, showing us efficient routes, recommendations, and sharing Moroccan culture. The rooms are immaculate, the food is so fresh and the spa is very relaxing. Special thanks to Omar and Brian for all their help! Riad Karmela is a must-stay in Marrakech!
If you’re looking for a stay in Marrakech, look no further, this is it! First of all, the obviously beautiful stay! And also perfectly located. Second of all, the extensive and delicious breakfast. Third of all, a really price to quality spa-experience. And lastly, and most importantly as well as most outstanding, is the service. I am quite literally speechless, I am at a loss for words to describe how truly amazing these people are, each and every single one of them. These employers were so enjoyable to converse with, helped with everything you could imagine (literally went out of their way for us, just to please us) and we truly felt so supported and understood. A big big thank you to all the employers! If I ever return to Marrakech, they can definitely expect me! Even if they multiply their prices by 100: I.will.be.there.!!!
I booked this riad while I was in Marrakech as I was staying in another hotel that let’s say was unliveable, from the moment we walked in it was relaxing and welcoming, the staff were fantastic, we were given tea while we waited for our room, everything was explained to us and we went for a walk around the Riad. When we returned our luggage had been taken to our room for us, we were shown the way and as soon as the door was opened WOW is all I can say it was amazing.
We had the junior suite with private terrace and the space was great, the decor was amazing, the room was clean, the cleaners were in everyday and a new bottle of water was left for us.
The breakfast in the morning was lovely, plenty to choose from, fresh fruit, pastries, bread etc and you could have fresh made scrambled eggs or omlete, fresh fruit juice, coffee, and a selection of teas.
There is plenty seating areas throughout, either inside or on the rooftop, including sun loungers with towels and straw hats.
The staff were out of this world, friendly, helpful always had a smile and would go out their way to talk to you, ask if everything was ok etc, especially Omar who would always greet us with a hello, how did you sleep each morning.
When it was time to leave we were getting picked up a 10 minute walk from the riad, one of the members of staff called the driver to make sure he would there and at what time and walked us to the stop helping us with our cases.
If I am ever returning to Marrakech I will definitely be booking here again.
As soon as you enter this rad you are welcomed with traditional tea and biscuits . I arrived late evening and they were super kind to upgrade my room which was fabulous. My whole experience was super relaxing I loved the roof terrace which had a refreshing jacuzzi. I have to give special thank you to Omar and Hakim both were so attentive and so friendly. Also the lovely lady on the desk was super kind and let me have a late check out which was great as my flight was late in the evening. I are out lots but also had food from the riad which was lovely. I booked a massage which was great too. Although they had building works going on this did not affect my stay .
First of all this hotel along with all Riads don't do alcohol, so if you're looking for a boozy holiday, this is not for you
If, however you're looking for a genuine Moroccan hotel features and atmosphere, this is definitely for you
Arrived on my Birthday and the hotel genuinely made a big fuss ..flowers on the bed, cake, even got a song, the staff are so friendly, hotel is spotless and we'll maintained, the hotel is in the heart of the Madina so can get mental as soon as you step outside, but in the hotel, you can't hear a thing, so calming,
Breakfast was plentiful and great selection
Would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for the real experience
