This hotel is located in the city centre, in the Guéliz district and is an ideal point of departure for walks around the city and visits to cultural sites. The medina is 2 kms away and it is 70 kms to Oukaimeden. Marrakech Airport is just 4 kms from the hotel. This hotel is built in style of traditional Moroccan houses and riads and combines this traditional element with convenient facilities for its guests. The lines and warm colours of the hotel interiors mix Zellige Fassi, marble and mosaics and offer a true haven of peace. There is parking available for those arriving by car. At the spa centre guests can enjoy a real traditional Hammam beauty ritual. This city hotel comprises rooms spread over several floors as well as a garden and a terrace.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had an early morning flight. We arrived at the hotel 10.30 am and was told the room was not ready but we could upgrade to a room that was which was £25 per night. When we said no we was told the room would not be available till 3pm. I asked if there was a room we could get changed in as we had an early start was told no. We were directed to the toilets. We left our bags behind reception. We arrived back at the hotel at 3pm and the room still was not ready. The room had 3 beds in and a small balcony. The room w as cleaned each day. Breakfast was okay. The omelette which were freshly made were good. Lovely coffee. We ate food from the pool and that was good. The man who worked at the pool was very attentive and friendly. The other bar staff need to a lesson in manners. The beds were comfy. Overall for what we paid for the stay it was good value.
Booked this hotel as a 3 night package with easyJet. I didn’t have high expectations after having paid what I paid but I was pleasantly surprised. Reception area traditional and quite pretty, staff were pleasant upon arrival. The guy in reception informed me that the superior room I had reserved with easyJet didn’t have a balcony which I was surprised to hear. He informed me that I could have s balcony room for £20 which I agreed to as well as £10 for tourist tax. I expected a balcony so did feel like it was a little unfair to be asked to pay more but I paid it as wanted to sit outside at night. I was given the choice of two rooms which both appeared clean and we were happy with the one we chose. The aircon was not extra thank goodness although it wasn’t particularly good. This may have been down to user error and I’m sure if I’d have asked for help i would have got it. Bed was comfy. Breakfast wasn’t the best but there was a good supply of pastries and the coffee was nice so we were happy. The guy that works round the pool and provides towels was so helpful and very efficient, there were so many sunloungers with towels on all day with no people using them which was annoying. No alcohol served at the bar which was fine for us, iced coffees were yum! There are some nice restaurants locally and some shops a short walk away but to get to the medina I would recommend a taxi which ranged from £4-8 one way. All in all I would happily stay here again however would maybe opt to stay a little nearer to the main square/souks as it is a long walk.
What a little gem of a hotel We stayed here for 4 nights in room 502 the room was very big with a balcony with double doors that opened up with a small table and 2 chairs with a pool view. Nice big bathroom with a bath and shower. Two single beds pushed together which wasn’t a problem for us. There was a fridge in the room and a safe. There was also aircon with a control. Small tv on the wall only really the news channel but wasn’t in our room enough to need to watch the tv. Rooms was cleaned daily and fresh towels. There is a wardrobe and extra blankets should you need them. We are brekfast each morning with plenty of selections nice big dining area. The hotel is lovely and the staff are great especially the man at the pool area the pool was very clean with plenty of sun longers and umbrellas. The bar at the pool does not serve alcohol but plenty of other drinks the food is very nice and not too expensive for a hotel. Location is fab step out the door and a little walk into the centre not even 5 minutes. Lots of bars and restaurants with all different prices. The roads are very busy remember it’s a city very different to the uk so just keep a look out when crossing them as even using a crossing and the green man being on not all cars stopped. We would definitely recommend the hotel and will certainly be going back. My only suggestion for the hotel would be a keep the in the room :)
This is a lovely hotel - ignore the negative reviews. Yes there are a few cracked tiles here and there, but this doesn't affect the overall beauty of the hotel. Upon entering the reception area, which was very spacious and beautifully decorated in typical Moroccan style. We were met by a nice man on reception who saw to our booking speedy and efficiently. He told us about the tourist tax and upgraded us to a room with a balcony (which we paid for). We were taken to our room by the tall security man - he was a lovely man and we did have a laugh trying to get to the right room. Our room was on the top floor - which is what we wanted - the room was spacious and the maid even came in to make the two single beds into one huge king sized bed for us. We had a balcony which over looked the pool area which was lovely. The bathroom had a decent bath, shower over bath, bidet and toilet and sink with toiletries and lovely smelling towels. There was free to use safe and a small fridge with a freezer with a ice cube tray. There was no tea making facilities, but this wasn't an issue for us. There was glasses in the room though. The bed was very comfortable and the air con was ok - would have liked it a bit cooler but that was because it was extremely hot outside when we visited. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and found the breakfast selection decent - you could get a decent breakfast with juices, water and hot drinks. The omelette station was a great addition. The pool area was spotlessly clean and the pool guy Aziz was brilliant. Every day he would keep two beds in the spot we liked, he would check in on you throughout the day to make sure we were ok. The hotel provided towels for the pool area and Aziz would give you another one for your head. There is a lovely pool bar that serves food and non alcoholic drinks. You are not allowed to consume your own food or drinks by the pool / seating area. If the catch you, they will politely tell you its not allowed. There is a great terraced area to sit and have food and drinks and there was music played all day from abut 10.30ish. Inside the hotel there are two lifts - the main one we actually found slower than the other one. The faster one (to the left of the reception) is faster and has a glass window that you can see the outside while travelling up or down - scenic view
Outside the hotel to the right less than one minute walk you will find a small shop that sells cans and bottles of pop, water, cigarettes etc (no alcohol) There are a few places to eat by the hotel but we can only comment on the Bey1961 as we did eat here. The hotel is in a good location to walk to many decent places to eat (see my other reviews) There is a very large shopping mall (Carrefour) about a five minute walk away and they have a designated section for alcohol. Carrefour literally sells everything. WIFI is very good indeed, we were able to stream and use social media and contact family in the UK,

Really good location, rooms are clean, and staff helpful. Air Con , fridge and clean towels daily. Breakfast adequate for most. It is old, but I would recommend for the price you pay, if you have Hilton expectation, then book a Hilton. Swimming pool is amazing, and Aziz the pool guy very attenuative
