Conveniently situated near Agdal Gardens and the ramparts of the city with a bus station around 50 m away, the hotel is a 10- minute walk from the famous square Djemaa el Fna. Built in 2016, the air-conditioned property comprises 120 rooms and welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Facilities offered to guests include a children's playground, café, bar and a restaurant. In addition, Internet access and a laundry service are provided. All rooms are equipped with independent air- conditioning, satellite/cable TV and a mini-bar. They also offer an en- suite bathroom and a balcony or terrace. An outdoor swimming pool is also available.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Returned home on 10th August after spending a week at this hotel. Typically we go away for 10 days, but wow am I glad this was only 7 days! I rarely leave a review unless it's positive, but felt compelled to do so to advise others what to expect. The holiday was cheap and I do believe you get what you pay for, but rating this hotel as 3 star is really a stretch. Food was ok, and room cleaners were lovely, but otherwise not alot of positives about this hotel. The AI bar is terrible, and there is only 1 small bar between 2 pools, which is very small and understaffed. Beer is served from a can, no drinks on draught whatsoever, and on more than one occasion, soft drinks were poured from warm bottles as the machine was broken. Along with this, the swarm of bees you have to get through at the bar is terrible, 30-40 swarming at all times. Entertainment was awful in the evening, we went once and never again. Hotel is very dated and shabby, and generally not particularly clean. Pool toilets were not checked regularly and were disgusting by the small pool. If you are using the title as a Base to go out and explore, and not spend much time in, then maybe it is OK. But as a family holiday I would not recommend at all. Air con was awful, and balcony was not safe as the railing was loose. With young children this is unacceptable. And the stench of sewerage being pumped in to our room daily was unbearable. We advised reception and with a shrug they simply said "so move rooms" they eventually sent an "engineer" who sprayed some air freshener around. The hotel is convenient for excursions and the souks are only 10 minutes away, and a supermarket is just down the road. We will definitely return to Marrakech at some point, but it will not be to this hotel!
Last minute holiday to this hotel, and you definitely get what you pay for. Hotel not like photographs, and is very outdated and needs a full refurbishment in my opinion. Air conditioning is terrible and in 40 degree heat unbearable in this heat. Went to reception on several occasions with various faults, ie hair dryer not working , vent falling on my husband when in shower and various other problems but nothing was done. Meal times were terrible, no signs on any of the food stating what it was, lack of clean cutlery plates and glasses. Food was always cold even though they were supposed to be hot. The only hot thing was pizza as that was being made fresh. Only one bar in between the 2 pools to serve all inclusive drinks and glasses were witnessed to be dipped in water and that was them being washed! All staff need to be retrained in hotel management and customer service as it is none existent There may be some lovely hotels in Morocco but this is not one of them
The location was perfect for us understanding that the earthquake destroyed and damaged a lot of the main area Atmosphere at hotel was vibrant and entertaining staff always encouraging you to join in Rooms exceptional clean daily fresh towels replenished toiletries and cleaned to fresh high standard Food usual local cruisine excellent fresh salad pulse bar to suit every body need fresh paratya for breakfast dress donuts also Always traditional option available (well you are in marrocco so don’t expect English fry up etc Burritos are available for the fussy eater evening snack and dinner time my fussy eaters always contented Only 1 criticism a/c in restaurants wouldn’t go a miss 9/10 food 10/10 accommodate 10/10 swimming pool 20/10 all staff As with all round season hotels there was a bit of freshening up paint work etc going on but that didn’t impeded our stay
When you come to this place make sure you check if you going to be taxed and make sire you know your rights to tax as sometimes they like to over charge… Life guards sell drugs on the premises and they talk to young women rather than watch the pool. My child nearly fallen in the water due to the pool step being broken life guards sell drugs was too busy talking to young females so he didint even care when i told him about the step he said not his problem i need to tell office myself…. Never again i would go somewhere where guards are dealing drugs near pool full of children…..
When we got to the hotel we was greeted by 2 lovely reception ladies, but the only problem was, our room wasn't ready. We got to the hotel about 11ish, I understand that the check in wasn't until 3pm but I can't control the time of our flight. We had to wait till bang on 3pm to get our room even though when you leave you have to check out by 12pm. When you've been up over 24hrs it's not really the best start. When we got to the room, there's no kettle or safe or iron available, this didn't affect us but may put other people off. The rooms are lovely beds are comfortable and the shower was powerful and warm, our Aircon did work so that was great also, but the rooms do need modernising. There was no Aircon in communal areas e.g. restaurant/reception/corridors. The food was okay but you didn't know what you was eating has they didn't label anything. You get alot of fresh salads which was nice. The staff give you a big bottle of water which you can take back to your room if you wish. In the restaurant they do cook Infront of you, they do pizzas, wraps. For breakfast they cook you fresh pancakes, and churros. There are 2 swimming pools has there's 2 hotels together, we went in the more lively one, the swimming pools are clean but you will find there isn't enough sunbeds for all the guests, which I think is a big thing for a hotel that size. The bar that's outside is okay, it could be better but it done the job. They do cocktails and the beer is served from a can into a cup. People don't que. They have a kids pool with mini slides and a kids club. The animation team Ali, Mido, and all the other guys who I didn't get there names were amazing! With the adults and the kids. Entertainment from start to finish. It's deffinately not a 4* but I would give it a high 3.
