From when we arrived the service and staff were great. They took us and our cases to our rooms on the car which was really helpful as we were further away. Upon arrival a mistake happened where they gave us the wrong room as we had booked for a double room and they gave us two single beds which were very small however when I went to reception they changed our room with no problems at all. We were on the ground floor and have suffered with quite a few little lizards which is as expected. We don’t like lizards or any animals like that therefore we called reception a few times! and they sent a member of staff round to get it every time which was great! Have had no issue getting sunbeds and the staff around the breeze bar are great! Ismail and ouusama have 10/10 customer service skills and really look after you whilst your there very attentive. Amjad is also a really great entertainer he really connects with you as the guests and is very enthusiastic in what he does. There is a waitress at the bar on the night who is absolutely great although I do not know her name but she has been amazing and definitely deserves a raise. Beds are comfy in our opinion rooms are clean. Only thing I would say is be careful when tipping the taxi men as they will ask for more. Food had no problems it was absolutely beautiful and the deserts were to die for. Not much choice in food but for what was there it was to a high quality. The only downside is that there is barely any entertainment on a night just a DJ and a disco which is disappointing. Air con was amazing in our room worked perfectly and every single member of staff was so polite and a real big credit to the hotel. Not many English channels on the TV which is not too much of an issue as we were outdoors mainly but on a night as there was no entertainment it was nice to relax but there wasn’t many English channels. I really like the fact that they play music by the pool as many hotels do not do that anymore. It’s great. A downside is that there is nowhere to get a drink for in the room, they do give you water but we don’t like water so it’d be nice if you could get a bottle somewhere. Sunbeds are comfy and look staff will do anything you ask. There aren’t any ice creams through out the day and they are after 4 if you want one. They also do not do pop on draft it is bottles (may be picky) but we prefer draft which was a negative. Wasn’t much choice of cocktails on the all inclusive. Other than that we were really happy with our stay and we would love to return at some point in the future. Staff
Absolutely stunning hotel, wonderful hotel, great staff who an incredibly helpful amf friendly. The pools (3) are amazing. I love this place. I booked via Jet 2 and I can't fault the seamless experience.
We had a fantastic second stay at Barcelo Palmeraie and would be delighted to do so again as a family of 4.
Firstly, the grounds and style of this hotel are very nice. The first impression when you are dropped off at the entrance is superb and the grounds themselves are immaculately maintained by the staff, it is a very pleasant and peaceful environment to be in. It is not near any major roads and is on the whole a very calm place.
The reception / main indoor area of the hotel is very nice, clean and spacious. Reception, the main bar, shop and experiences are great and staff very attentive and pleasant.
Our room (premium) suited our needs perfectly for our holiday. The very large bed is comfortable and the bathroom has enough space and the fridge in the room is very welcome. Air con is excellent. If you are travelling with children 11+ then a premium room may be a bit small, the ‘beds’ for children are not proper beds, they are a converted seating area. There is not a lot of room to store your cases / hang clothes, although there are drawers in the room. We were able to have 1 case out and store the other one under the sink in the bathroom, so for us it worked well but for a family with 4 large suitcases, space may be a bit tight to store clothes and luggage.
We found the food and drink to be excellent throughout our stay, we were on the all inclusive package. All soft drinks and local spirits/beer/cocktails more than covered our needs through the stay. The breakfasts were a particular highlight, Batbout was superb. Other mealtimes had a nice range of daily tagines and other options. I have seen a few reviews here saying the food is quite similar each day. Whilst I understand the point, we found it a nice balance of the same but different and also to be very tasty, neither us or our children were bored of it over the 10 days. There are other restaurants on site apart from the buffet offering and they all looked very nice, I don’t think the all inclusive+ option is worth it for the price to eat in these restaurants, unless you want imported alcohol or a quieter setting for your dinner/tea. You can pay individually to eat at these restaurants if you want to.
We spent our time at the family pool during the day, which was a nice relaxed atmosphere. The pool is massive and there is a nice variety of sunbeds and pods to sit on. A special thank you to Omar for looking after us so well at the pool. The Breeze bar was an excellent addition to this visit, with a shaded seating area and a nice choice of food and drink (the menu is very clear on what is included on your package) this is a nice option to have, we ate here instead of the buffet in the afternoon a couple of times. Whilst we did not use it, the adult pool looked to be very relaxing and has its own bar but no food offering. The breeze bar is only a short walk away.
There a range of activities do around the hotel. The onsite gym is well equipped and whilst we did not make use of the tennis or volleyball areas, the mini golf was a nice break and there are structured activities on every day such as darts, aqua fit and yoga. All these activities were organised by Amjad during our stay, he was brilliant and so kind to all of us, it made the holiday really. The Arabic lesson and tea making class was a real highlight of the stay. I look forward to returning in the future for a table tennis rematch!
Our children enjoyed the kids club, whilst it was very quiet during our stay and there were very few others there, they enjoyed the pedal karts and played a lot of card games. The staff were excellent here and we felt very comfortable leaving our children there. Kamal, Maoura and Hajar looked after them very well and always said hello and spoke to us whenever we saw them around the hotel, which the children really enjoyed.
The oasis camp is worth a visit during your stay, it is a pleasant walk around (although pick your route beforehand as it will take a while and can get very hot) and the activities in there (which are chargeable) were excellent, we did a camel ride and went on the quad bikes which was great fun in a very private environment.
The main bar is a nice place to relax in the evening with a large outdoor seating area. There is a weekly Moroccan show that takes place which is very entertaining and there were a couple of nights with local singers which gave a nice balance of a quiet evening and something to watch. Once again we were very well looked after in the bar, Hamza was an absolute star and again was brilliant with our children. The evening is also a good chance to use the free shuttle bus into the city (around 20-25 mins drive) to explore. The drop off location for this is good however if you are going, booking 24 hours in advance is recommended as it can get full quite quickly.
Overall, we have loved our time at Barcelo Palmeraie and look forward to returning in the future. Thank you for such an excellent holiday.
We stayed at the Barcelo Palmeraie Oasis Resort for our first ever couple’s holiday and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, with the choice of a peaceful zen pool or a lively fun pool, having this choice suited us perfectly. The staff were incredible — attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead, remembering our orders and topping up drinks without us asking. The food was delicious every day, with plenty of variety and some English staples to keep it easy. The free shuttle bus made exploring town simple, and booking experiences like quad biking and camel riding in the desert was effortless — both unforgettable adventures. The whole resort was spotless, the rooms well equipped, and the cleaners brilliant each morning. Entertainment in the evenings, from live music to Moroccan dancers, added a magical touch. Overall, it was a wonderful holiday we’ll always remember.
We have just spent 10 great days here. The Hotel is really well kept and the staff really can not do enough for you. The food offering is fantastic and unlike Many other hotels it’s not a struggle for a table. Down by the Main pool is great and again staff look after you with drinks. Plenty of choices on the all inclusive for us. Sun beds are the usual issue so you do need to come down early to bag one, however the pool staff will help you and don’t tolerate any aggressive actions from anyone. We never saw an argument anywhere which is rare on holiday. Special thanks to the following staff:-
Ilyas on the Breeze Pool Bar. Yusuf on the Breeze Pool Bar. Latifa who is amazing in the Main Restaurant and really looks after you. Outemi on the Breeze Pool Bar. Omar on the Breeze Pool Bar. Musta on the Breeze Pool Bar
The free shuttle bus into town is useful. It’s quite daunting when you get there and we paid 100 MAD for a guide as they pressure you when you get off the bus. He took us to where he wanted to go into his mates shops and you do feel pressured into buying something. You don’t need the Guide. The only small complaint is the Hotel Location which is out of the way so you can’t really walk to anything so we spent pretty much the whole time at the hotel which isn’t what we normally like. An on site mini supermarket would be good as the gift shop is very limited.
