This is a classic too big to care hotel. Might be good for the tour groups who are willing to fit into the rules but as soon as you need something even slightly out of the norm it's an issue. Pros It's big (for those that like big hotels) 3 onsite restaurants. (Buffet,Italian and Moroccan). Our group ate at the Moroccan and Trattoria and it was just ok. Nothing great Bar, although prices are through the roof and choice is not great. Good breakfast buffet with lots of choice
Cons
We requested a cup of hot water for a tea as the restaurants were not open. 1 1/2 hours later I went back to reception to request again. We ended up getting a kettle delivered with no cups.
We had a shower over bath configuration. The water from the shower went all over the floor and sink rendering it useless.
A mechanical fan like a split system droned all night outside our room, we did not have our heating on.
This hotel is on the takeoff flight line from Marrakech (3km) away so it is noisy. You get woken up very early by the planes that go all night.
The pool is not heated so is unusable as it is too cold.
The fitness room opens at 7 however you can't get a towel until later as the pool attendant looks after those and he doesn't start till later.
We attempted to get some washing sent out. We were told 24 hours initially which was fine, then told maybe 30 hours or more which didn't line up with our checkout. We were offered an express service for double the price Hmmmm strange how it can actually be done
The hotel is 3-4 kms out of the Medina so not exactly walking distance which means you need to get taxis in and out of town. There is a courtesy bus but limited services.
Overall the wait staff are very nice however the concierge staff were not as nice and very regimented.
Not my type of hotel but might be ok for others. We have transferred to a different hotel and loving it.
The rooms are quite large including the bathroom the bed is firm and the room is very clean it could do with a little maintenance but nothing excessive and there were limited toiletries available in the bathroom Which were not replenished For a two-night stay.. The hotel Is also quite a distance From The Hub of Marrakech ..It's okay if you're driving But it was difficult To walk Anyway As it is in a location That is quite a part from the city centre
This is the worst hotel I have been to in a long time. Breakfast is awful, dinner is worse. Rooms are old and smell funny, ventilation is noisy. Hotel staff is extremely rude, I cannot stress enough that the idea this is a 5 star hotel is laughable by any standards. I have had more comfortable stays while camping in the mountains.
Not a 5 star hotel as advertised, I would give it 3 stars. Staff could be more friendly. Infinity pool cold but well kept. Staff need to brush up on
I stayed here twice at the beginning and end of a tour. It’s a very pleasant hotel with a lovely foyer. There are several places to eat within the hotel, including a good Italian restaurant and pool side cafe. Good pool. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel is a short distance from a shopping mall too. The first room I stayed in for one night was a good size with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The bed was comfy. Slippers provided. Bathroom nice size but, as with the bedroom, just a bit old and tired. Bath rather old and stained, although everywhere was clean. I slept well apart from being woken by a group of very noisy men in the corridor! The second room was in a different part of the hotel and was lovely. Larger, very pleasant, lovely large balcony to sit out on. Nice bathroom. My sink was blocked but maintenance dealt with it. When I unfortunately felt ill the staff were very helpful. They sent water to my room and checked I was ok and allowed me to stay in the room until we left, and as I left they were very caring. Thank you.
