Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Great location with superb accommodation. Rooms are very nice. Lovely atmosphere with 10 swimming pools and a sandy beach. Its bit too pricey . For eg they did not have Madafu drink for over 3 days in the bar. Also they could supply more drinking water in rooms as we need water to brush teeth and drink too. The staff are superb and polite. Most of the time staff would go above and beyond.
The hotel is very beautiful, nice amenities, beautiful environment and nice beach front. The service however was consistently disappointing. From the check in to the breakfast service, to lunch service, room service, cleaning service, billing and check out. Any opportunity to disappoint us, they took it! First it took 2 hours to check in, then on the next day, we begged for the room to be cleaned, over and over, only after we went to the reception did they clean it, at 7pm! We were four friends with 2 rooms and they did this for both rooms. At breakfast we had to get our own tea (Kenya hotels prefer you serve the food and the wait staff serve the tea and coffee) there was no one to serve us tea in all the three mornings we were there. We asked for cutlery and they did not bring it. While cleaning the room they took away towels and only replaced half of them. And on the last day, a member of staff took away my swimsuit with the towels and i never got it back but had to check out. These small inconveniences show that staff are not trained for the hospitality industry and do not pay attention to detail. At check out, the reception added bills from other guests to our final bill and insisted it was ours, while the names and signatures on the bills were clearly not ours. We pushed back and refused to pay for bills we did not consume, even then they kept brining us bills from other guests hoping we don’t notice. Swahili Beach, you should really do something about your staff, invest in some training to upskill staff to maintain a 5 start rating as a premium hotel. I gave you this feedback in person so this is not in any way underhanded. If you find my costume, please give it back as well.
We had come to this resort after dealing with another nightmare of a resort. Our stay here salvaged our trip. The staff were amazing, our room was amazing l, the food was amazing. The only complaint I would have is that everything we would go to the buffet someone would steal our table. The staff were again great with removing the persons or getting us a new table. The breakfast buffet had some very good choices. There are almost a couple restaurants on the property. Unfortunately for our stay we weren't able to make it to the Spice Route. The resort is also close to some local shopping. It was nice to get out and explore. I can't say enough about the staff. From the check in experience to the the check out, I'm horrible with names, there are so many people I would like to thank by name, but I can't remember their names. Charles our room steward was the only one I remember. Would definitely stay here again.
Honestly the hotel is beautiful but the staff is absolutely chaotic! So many people working there but hardly anyone knows what they're doing! Everytime you go to reception you're asked to go to a different colleague and you're given different information by literally all of them! Also, we got welcome drinks, towels and cookies upon arrival and our friends who arrived 5 minutes after us, we're given none of that treatment!? Also would not recommend the restaurant down at the beach, we waited an hour for our food and no apology was given until we mentionned it. Nothing for compensation either. Horrendous service for such a nice place! Also, don't even try to attempt and have a rest in the afternoon. Someone is always fixing something so there's alwayw noise and if it's not from construction, it's from employees calling eachother across the floors.
It was truly an exceptional experience, from the arrival to the check out. The property was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. We got the beach club room and it was worth every penny we spent. The environment was so serene and quiet. The staff were so kind, attentive and fantastic. The attention to detail with everything in this resort was incredible. The food and the service... everything was amazing! I want to special thank Joy the guest relations personal, wow she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. They made my birthday trip the best experience I could have ever had. It was such an amazing experience we had to extend our stay. Our driver Edward was fantastic(the drive from the airport turned into a tour guide because you explained and gave so much details of history and sites) .
