Located close to UKUNDA airport about 8mins drive. Food is good but the spread could have been better. The lowlights are the rooms which need massive upgrade!
I had a disappointing experience at Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa due to hygiene issues in the room. First, the complimentary bottled water in the room had a strong, unpleasant smell—one bottle literally smelled of fish. It is obvious that the bottles are being refilled without proper industrial washing or sterilization, posing a serious health risk. I had to go out to town to buy my own safe drinking water. Second, the housekeeping was very poor. Despite leaving a tip for the cleaner, the toilet seat was unwashed and had a distinct, unpleasant smell of urine on the plastic surfaces. These hygiene issues partially ruined my vacation and made me feel uncomfortable. Management really needs to step up cleaning standards and ensure proper bottle sanitization
