We would like to leave a heartfelt review of our stay at the hotel. We had an absolutely wonderful time and will remember this holiday with the warmest emotions.

We would especially like to thank the entire hotel staff. You are truly what made our holiday so special. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, kind, and always ready to help. We could feel that every member of the team genuinely cared about making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Thank you for your smiles, your kindness, your care, and for creating such a wonderful atmosphere. Thanks to you, we felt not just like guests, but truly welcomed and valued.

A huge thank you to every single one of you for making our holiday the best it could be! ❤️ Your warmth and dedication gave us so many beautiful memories, and we are leaving with nothing but positive emotions and a strong desire to come back again.

Maybe I’m wrong but some of these reviews on here felt suspicious to me but I only started seeing them after booking so I was a bit nervous in the week leading up to this holiday that maybe we’d made a mistake but I shouldn’t have worried.

Firstly we travelled as a family of 4, with children aged 10 and 8. Arrived late like most and were offered the late dinner which was very disappointing and added to my initial worry. Our room location was brilliant but walking in at 1am we saw a double bed and one single bed and when we asked where the other bed was for the 4th family member we were told it would be an extra $10 per night to have one brought to us. After persuasion they agreed to bring one for one night only and sort it out in the morning. Next morning at the welcome meeting it was apparent we weren’t the only ones with this problem and our rep explained this was a new charge the hotel had brought in and that he would sort it and to be fair he did, we kept our extra bed and were never charged a penny on leaving.

So that is the negatives out of the way, this hotel is great, it’s never going to be 5 star English standards but it suited us and all staff went above and beyond without expecting a tip in so many ways..

• Getting tables ready for meal times when you walked in.
• Grabbing beds for you poolside if you’re not one of those idiots that gets up at 6.30am to reserve one with a towel (that happens here every day so if you like a guaranteed lounger on arrival this hotel isn’t for you)
• Cleaning rooms, saying hello and picking you up in golf buggies if they’re driving past as this is a very hilly hotel and not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

The pool here is a perfect temperature and depth, amazing views and we loved getting involved in water volleyball which brought countries together. The pool bar staff were excellent here too, not quite the same in the sister sport hotel which despite a great waterpark and pool; we were glad to just visit rather than be staying at.

The bar overlooking the beach is amazing, cocktails are hit and miss but beer and soft drinks lovely, ice is all safe in drinks. We visited Soho Square which is just around the corner. Went bowling and to the ice bar which was an experience in that heat.

We also went to the old town, 20 minutes in a taxi (use the hotel taxi if you don’t mind paying a bit more as they give you a phone to take and use when you’re ready to come home and the service was worth the extra money we paid)

We did also do a trip to Cairo, booked through Viator before we left. What an experience, although a long day with kids it was one of the best things we’ve all done as a family to see the pyramids and tutenkhamun etc and next day we were back to chilling in the pool.

The beach is on a steep set of hills, sea is warm and clear once you get out on the jetty, which can get busy but lovely experience to snorkel around the reefs below and amongst some amazing fish.

Entertainment was very poor but we weren’t too bothered, a couple of nights were OK but again if you like good entertainment this isn’t for you.

WiFi on the other hand is incredible and the TVs had Netflix, Amazon etc which we were able to stream movies and tv shows from on the WiFi, unusual for a hotel like this but nice way to end a couple of evenings.

Lastly I’m always wary when I see guests mention staff because it either feels like they’ve been asked to post by them or it’s them posting themselves. This is neither of those and just a genuine message to Abdul in the Italian Restaurant who was very kind to us and our children throughout our stay, always remembered our drinks orders and was genuinely interested in us without expecting anything at all but I believe he deserves recognition from his manager so hopefully they see the photo attached.
