SUNRISE Remal Resort

This year was our second visit to Sunrise Remal Resort, we also had a stay in Remal Beach before refurbishment so we are well attuned to Sunrise Resorts. After a long journey, our room was clean and had a fruit basket ready for us having had a meal kept on for us as we arrived late. Our daily room cleaner was always friendly and left us some great towel animals which pleased my son. Food wise there is a huge selection of food across meats, fish and chicken as well as plenty of vegetables, salad etc always tasty. Pool area despite coming in peak weeks we always managed to get a sunbed, pool area could use some attention to broken tiles around the pool bar but the staff are always friendly and attentive. We visited the beach which now has a permanent jetty entrance with stairs in and a jumping zone. The reef is teaming with sea life and we enjoyed a few visits across the holiday. The staff around the resort are always friendly but my hat is always tipped to Shebl the concierge. He across all three of our holidays has always gone above and beyond for us, makes you feel welcomed and has a friendly face and will try to sort problems quickly. My son and partner also say he is such a valuable member of staff as the standard he provides the fabulous. Whilst we are holidaying elsewhere in 2027, we hope to revisit Sharm and Sunrise Resort in 2028.

Nice hotel rooms a little dated but comfortable staff are great cant do enough for you .pool lovely food a bit hit and miss but usually found something to eat they had theme nights.Big thanks to reception for changing my room so quickly when i asked and pool bar staf mohamid i think he was called was great.also simba entertainment who was lovely only complaint i had was that out room lock didnt work and someone broke the chain on the door but was fixed quickly .lost of mozzys i was bitten a lot so take spray etc plug ins in room though.never had a probñem with sunbeds .walk to beach or catch curtesy bus were you can snorkey on the reef wich is great all in all couldnt falt hotel would return

The hotel is about 20 mins from the airport, some airport noise can be heard depending on the wind direction but it’s not a problem. Check in was easy and we were asked to sit and wait to be shown to the room . We arrived around 10:30 pm and another group was already waiting . Once we were taken to the second floor we found the room ourselves. Good size and we had a single bed as well as double, this was removed the next day which gave us more room. Good pool view and we could see the sea in the distance. Small fridge with soft drinks and plenty of bottled water (use to clean teeth too) The water pressure in the shower was very hit and miss- either boiling hot but mostly cool, I think I had 3 warm showers the whole fortnight . There was a lot of information given verbally on check-in and after travelling most of the day most of this was forgotten. Unfortunately there was no map provided or on the app so we struggled to find the restaurant for breakfast even though I remembered it was in the 1st floor - it is up the staircase over the Sun ray bar in the main lobby. Food was pretty plentiful although very similar each day - lovely omelettes made to your taste in the morning and fried eggs - no scrambled eggs tho. Fresh doughnuts cooked loads of pastries etc and cheese and ham selection with some salad. Mainly pieces of fruit instead of berries or fruit to put on yogurt for breakfast. The evenings were really heavily meat orientated - I would have liked more salad options . I did struggle as a vegetarian as nothing was marked as veggie- I could have asked the managers but that meant every meal I would have to find someone - just a V on the signs would have helped. The hotel complex’s isn’t huge but you can use the facilities on the other side of the road as well. This is where you find the sea which has amazing snorkelling , with a lifeguard on standby. You can take the free shuttle bus to the other complex but it’s literally 300m downhill to get there (take the bus back uphill 😂). Easy to get in and out via the large steps in to the sea.
There was another lunch restaurant called Elva by the pool. It really limited options beef burger , cheese burger, hotdog or pizzas - tuna, veg,margarita or salami, so again as a veggie it was pizza or nothing - again a salad choice would have been good. You can have one à la carte meal free choosing from 5 different restaurants (I think) just book on a screen beside reception. Indian was nice - smallish portions but tasty! Pool was huge and plenty of sunbeds. Mohammed at the pool bar was constantly busy and worked really hard - Abdullah the lifeguard always said good morning and came around cleaning your sunglasses 😎- MIdo in entertainment team was such fun to watch and for everyone going in the aqua gym and Zumba in the pool. Entertainment every night sometimes in the theatre ,sometimes on poolside (this can mean loud music into the night) there are things that could be made better like an information leaflet , would we go back ? Yes we’ve already booked !
