We have just returned from 12 days at sea beach. We had the absolute best time. The staff working at this hotel go above and beyond for you, they are so friendly. We are looking at coming back next year and hope to bring some friends along with us. Our boys cried the whole way to the airport when it was time to come home, they enjoyed themselves so much. The entertainment of an evening is brilliant and it is set in a lovely comfortable location just on the beach. During the day there is always something going on around the pool, the entertainment staff are great. A couple of us did get a dodgy belly but I know the chances of that are high in Egypt, it didn’t ruin it for us though and we will return. One thing I really liked about this hotel is there are no sunbed issues. You could go to the pool at 1pm and still have a pick of sunbeds. We had a lovely room on the ground floor with an outside patio area, meters away from the pool, looking out to the sea. Noise levels were fine, never got woken up. If you are looking at booking, do it. You will have a wonderful time!
What a beautiful place, we had an amazing time but it was truly the people who made the holiday for us, you are the luckiest to have the staff thay go above and beyond. Ahmed, mina, badway and especially Mo who while we were there worked the beach and the aqua park, you as a company are beyond lucky to have these treasures working for you and they will be with some of the other staff the reason we would without a doubt come back. Well done Egypt, you've won a special place in our hearts ❤️
Currently still here on day 9 with my wife and 4 kids, we go home tomorrow and I already feel the blues setting in. We have had the best time, the hotel is absolutely amazing. It’s so big, and there’s so much to do on site, you forget there’s a water park a few hundred yards away from reception. The thing that strikes me about it, is the staff. They are so friendly from the room cleaners to the pool side attendants, they go above and beyond for you, so friendly. They have all made this holiday so special for me, my wife and my children. Thank you sea beach, I really hope to come back again 🙏🏻🩵
My partner and I have just returned from the most amazing two weeks at this hotel. We cannot thank the staff enough for looking after us. The Animation team were brilliant and every day and night put on an excellent performance for everyone - a special mention to Moody, Turkey and Memo who felt like our new best friends by the end of the holiday - they were amazing all day and night. A special Thank you to Ahmed at the pool bar in the day and the outside one at night - he was so helpful and attentive and gave the best service you could ask for. The hotel was clean and has everything you could wish for. All staff were amazing - there isn't enough space to mention them all individually - all in all Excellent place to holiday - it was the first time I have ever left a hotel really sad because of saying good bye to the staff. Honestly from the bottom of my heart thank you to EVERYONE at Sea Beach - you made the holiday amazing for us - We will be back to see you all next year - Claire & Lee !!
Well, where do I start?!
I was apprehensive before arriving at this hotel, and honestly, it couldn’t have been any worse than I imagined. I genuinely do not understand how this place has so many good reviews. We really aren’t that fussy either, but let me begin…
We arrived late at night, almost midnight, and tried to check in. The reception staff were incredibly rude, and apparently it’s a complete free-for-all. During check-in, we were basically just thrown our room card and a piece of paper with a list of activities on it.
We arrived at our room as a family of four, with two children aged 11 and 15. I had booked a standard room through Loveholidays, and nowhere did it state that the room would not have enough beds for all four of us. There were two reasonably large twin beds, but they were nowhere near small doubles. Reception then told me we were only entitled to one additional bed because apparently you’re only allowed three beds in the room!
The manager eventually came to our room and proceeded to argue with us before finally bringing in what I can only describe as prison beds. I genuinely wish I was being dramatic, but I’m not. On the way into the room, we had actually seen one of these beds left outside another room, covered in what looked like urine stains and rust. It was rock hard. The other wasn’t much better, although it was at least bearable for my eldest.
The manager initially suggested that my youngest could sleep on the floor on a mattress or on the small sofa, which was covered in stains and wasn’t a sofa bed. I told him we were supposed to be on holiday, not at a prison camp. He then told me we were “lucky” to be given the extra bed and it wasn’t their fault it was lovely holidays as it should only be booked for families with small children. I told him I put my children’s ages in correctly and it allowed me to book the room so it isn’t my fault either.
The room itself also wasn’t clean. There was leftover shampoo in the shower and hairs everywhere. But by this point, after the attitude we had already received, I simply couldn’t be bothered arguing anymore. We went to bed in foul moods and decided to try to stay positive and not let it ruin our holiday.
The next morning, we got up determined to give the hotel another chance… and it somehow got worse. The food was terrible. The breakfast selection was awful, and there seemed to be absolutely no order or hygiene. Kids and adults were using their hands, pushing in and generally treating it like a complete free-for-all.
We then went to the pool and tried to order cocktails, which can only be described as mouthwash served in dirty glasses. Most of the glasses absolutely stank of stale eggs they are not washed properly at all.
I would have been more than happy to have my drinks served in a paper or plastic cup, but even the soft drinks were barely drinkable. Nothing is refrigerated properly. You either get a fizzy drink that is warm, or a cold but completely flat drink. The drinks come out of bottles and are left sitting on the side, baking in the heat.
And the service… well, initially we were completely ignored. We also noticed that a lot of other nationalities were being given much better treatment and getting fancy drinks made for them. So, in the end, we started tipping the waiters and suddenly the service improved and we actually got some reasonably drinkable drinks.
I do have to give Abdul, one of the waiters, a massive thank you. He made us decent drinks and good service. Without him, his lovely smile and his ability to make a drink that was actually drinkable, I genuinely think I would have thrown myself off the jetty by this point!
There are, however, a couple of positives. The water park is the best thing about this hotel. It is dated and a bit scruffy but the kids absolutely loved it. The snorkelling at the end of the jetty is good but gets busy so go a little earlier. The pools are kept clean and there are plenty to choose from, and the beach area is lovely and generally well kept.
Unfortunately, that is where the positives end for us.
The food and drinks are honestly shocking, and the lack of hygiene is extremely concerning. I have never left a review like this before. I used to read reviews where people were complaining and think they were probably exaggerating.
I can honestly say I am not exaggerating.
This place is an absolute dump. I seriously, seriously would not recommend booking this hotel unless you particularly enjoy the experience of a prison camp — although I’d imagine the prison food is probably better.
Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else.
