Overall, we had an amazing stay. The resort itself is beautiful, and the majority of the staff was exceptional. There were so many people who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and they deserve to be recognised.

A special mention must go to the following:

• Mohamed Mustafa Mohamed at the Veranda Buffet, who was without question the highlight of every mealtime. His friendliness, attentiveness and genuine warmth made such a difference to our holiday. Every day he greeted us with a big smile, took the time to chat with us, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another family passing through. Our children found him

Hilarious, and he was incredible with them. He is a real credit to the hotel.

At the Blue Planet Noodle House, Marez Maged was equally fantastic. She was always welcoming, friendly and served us with a smile. Her kind words and positive attitude made every visit enjoyable, and she consistently provided excellent service.

Eisa at the Blue Planet Pool Bar. His service was exceptional from day one. He was incredibly efficient, often taking the initiative before we even had to ask for anything. By the end of our stay he knew exactly what we liked to drink and would regularly prepare our “special” cocktails without us needing to explain. He frequently checked in on us whenever he spotted us around the pool, and it was always a pleasure to stop for a chat. His attention to detail and genuine friendliness were outstanding.

At Coffee Planet, Mohamed was brilliant. By the end of our holiday he knew our coffee order by heart, greeted us warmly every morning and was always attentive and cheerful. It’s those little personal touches that make such a lasting impression.

Mohamed Masoud at the Blue Planet Buffet, who always made sure our family had a suitable table and that we were comfortable, and he consistently went out of his way to help us and made every meal stress-free.

Finally, a thank you to Emad Mohamed, the Blue Planet Veranda Manager, who welcomed us every evening with a smile. He was always friendly, approachable and clearly cared about guests enjoying their stay.

There are, however, a few areas where we feel the hotel could improve. The Guest Relations team were always polite and clearly meant well, regularly asking for feedback and how they could improve our stay. Unfortunately, there was often a disconnect between what they said they would do and what actually happened.

On several occasions, we only discovered that requests hadn’t been actioned when we later tried to use or arrange something. Better communication and follow-through would make a significant difference.

The shuttle service itself is an excellent idea and absolutely necessary given the size of the resort. However, queue management needs serious improvement. Boarding often felt like a free-for-all, with no organised system in place. Unfortunately, this meant that families with young children and elderly guests were frequently overlooked.

The same issue was noticeable in the buffet restaurants and when booking children’s activities at the Kids Club, where queues were often non-existent and people simply pushed ahead.

Finally, while the Kids Club facilities are good, the supervision could be much more proactive. The soft play area was understandably busy, but staff were often standing back rather than actively managing the environment or engaging with the children unless prompted. At times there didn’t appear to be staff present at all. The activity booking system would also benefit from being better organised to make it fairer and easier for families to secure places.

Despite these points, they did not overshadow what was an excellent holiday. The outstanding service from so many members of staff is what we will remember most, and they are a real credit to the resort. We would happily return and hope the hotel recognises the exceptional individuals who made our stay so enjoyable.
