Pickalbatros Laguna Vista Hotel

We arrived on the 4th August with our family, all the staff were brilliant always happy to help with a smile , nothing was too much trouble , after my fall on day 3 Mr Mohamed Hommos went out of his way to make sure I was ok even travelled with us to the clinic and also moved us to a room on ground floor, which was much appreciated….. from then on I new we had chosen a great hotel, so may pools to swim in and food was plentiful, all the staff work so hard from early morning to end of the day…. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a great family holiday ( granddaughters loved the themed pool parties)!!

We returned to the UK with great memories and will return again

this hotel is huge, sun beds available at all times of day so no sun bed wars. the rooms were always cleaned to a good level and the gardens of the hotel were always immaculate. the staff work so hard.

we stayed in room 3024 which is a semi detached small villa right next to the pool. we loved this as we could have our own sun beds on our patio. and as it’s right next to the pool i could sunbathe and let the kids play in the pool. or when it got hot the kids could chill out on the patio in the shade but still be outside.

my kids really enjoyed the entertainment team especially panoo who’s energy was unreal. i can still hear his voice in my head around the pool a few days after getting home! helena is also great on the entertainment team. she went above and beyond to make my families trip perfect. there was a lot of negative posts about being poor entertainment but i don’t agree. there was a show on every night and the daytime time is great for kids and adults who want to do activities

we went next door to the hard rock cafe with panoo and it was a brilliant night. you can pay extra for all inclusive drinks there and there is karaoke which was very lively. the night we went it was full of english, plenty of good vibes and good food.

the food at the hotel was brilliant. always fresh and warm. we stayed for 2 weeks and didn’t even book the à la carte restaurant as there was so much choice. my favourite was the moroccan beef.. soo good! the kids had plenty of choice and there is ice cream in the evening and waffles and pancakes during the day

as many people have said previously there is a lot of pushing in. just stand your ground and they soon back down but this is definitely a negative to the hotel. they are quite happy to push your kids and let their own kids run riot around the restaurant and hotel. there’s not a massive amount of english in the hotel but my kids made friends with another english family. there is a good mix of nationalities that stay here

there’s plenty of cash machines in hotel lobby and the hotel wifi is good enough to stream music and film etc for those quiet moments

excursions are ok, not as amazing as made out to be. quad biking and camel riding is good. snorkelling and white island is ok. the sea is choppy and white island is pretty packed. if you do horse riding and you are effected by the condition and welfare facilities of the horses then do not go. they are in terrible condition whip marks all over them. my daughter was very upset my this. do not be fooled into thinking you can ride in a sandy beach as it is very rocky and rubbish everywhere. it is just a plod along and a dirty area

overall we came to the hotel as prices for turkey have gone through the roof. i would recommend this hotel because it’s huge size and no sunbed wars. entertainment was great and always made you smile and laugh
