Hello
We have great time to the heating pool Mohamed Eid Best service in Parrotel Hotel Lagoon and in all Sharm . We are 4 time here in Parrotel, Mohamef Help as every day with a big smile and a Warm welcome . Thanks Mohamed YOU do a Great Job.
I would not consider this 5 star at all, we stayed 2 weeks. The rooms do not get cleaned on a daily basis, the balconys were not cleaned at all. We were given 2 towels between a family of 5 which were not changed daily. Called reception for additional towels which never arrive. The food is not great. Considering we had all inclusive, there are no snacks available onside throughout the day like other hotels, if you wanted snacks, you have to travel to the water park which you have to travel to on a buggy. Ice cream was only available for 2 hours of the day, even then it was not always available. The pools were closed 3 days out of the 2 weeks we were there. The kids club was supervised by a lady who let the kids do what they want and was on her phone doing her own thing. The evening entertainment was not good at all. The location is not great as there is nothing surrounding the hotel so you have to get a taxi to go shops. The atmosphere was good but could get quite manic with so many locals running around without a care in the world. They have an onsite massage parlour, i booked the massages which were ok but seemed like they stroke you for quite abit of the time and seems like they were on their phone at times. The staff for pool entertainment felt like they were only interested in young women. Considering it's Egypt, I was surprised there was no faith room which I needed on the final day as we had to check out at 12pm and wait around til 7pm
I did meet a lifeguard by the name of Mustafa who was very polite and approachable, really good guy.
Great cleaner Really helpful Enjoyed my time definitely coming back Youssef Mohammed was great
We arrived at 21.30, we got checked in and was given the times of everything. Because we arrived late, we could get food at 23.30, but it was left over from dinner, so wasnt the best
Our room was very big and spacious, but it was very worn out. The bathrooms really need a good clean or replaced, because there was staines everywhere. There was dirty coffee mugs, which we asked to be replace. There was 2 fridges and AC Also coffee and water, which was replaced everyday.
A couple of times the cleaner would take our towels buy not replace them until the evening, this was an inconvenience, especially when you wanted to get ready for dinner.
Reception area is really big with loads of seating area. But its not very clean. There is a taxi desk, which is reasonably priced. We went to a local shop ( 10 minutes away) and it cost us £10, there and back, we just had to ring them when we were ready to be picked up. There is a perfume shop, handbag shop, little snack shop and swimming shop, they seem reasonably priced too.
Food and drink Main restaurant: The people were like animals ( no other way to saying it), they had piles of food on their table, flies everywhere and people just rushing and shouting. It is not a nice relaxing environment. We tried breakfast, lunch and dinner ONCE then ate out or got food from the local shop to eat in our room ( mainly noodles).
3 days into the holiday a english family told us that white wristbands ( which we had), have a separate restaurant. We was never told this on arrival. That restaurant was so much better, it seemed to have the same food everyday but it was much better then the other restaurant, the atmosphere was so nice, and it was clean.
The drinks are local spirits, which tasted watered down, but it was fine. Drinks are only included up to midnight, then they charge you.
Spa We didnt use the spa, we went to have a look around. Just like the rooms it needs to be maintained better.
Pools There are 5 pools, and they are all nice. Its hit and miss with the sunbeds, but the lifeguards are happy to help.
The aqua park was really good and loads of slides for different ages, they have a non- alcohol bar and food available there. If you go to the front of the hotel (entrance), a buggy will take you there and brings you back. Otherwise its about a 10 minute walk.
If you have young children please stay with them, there is alot of pushing in especially on the slides, my kids were letting other people Push in and were not saying anything,I feel a system needs to be put in place, cos this can cause agreements (which happened as few times)
Entertainment. Not happy with the Entertainment, there is very little to do. 11 o'clock is darts, but its not fun, the entertainer told us what to do and left. So we ended up playing r own game. ( i will put the timetable up) They dont come around and remind/ encourage you to join in the few activitiesthey have, they only seem to approach you when it involved selling something. My kids are abit older, so we didnt use the kids club.
Days out Beach party. Cost £10 each, under 12s are free. It was ok, the kids enjoyed the fire show and the form party. Drinks were included. But there is no food available there.
Karaoke at hard rock cafe 100% recommend, the vibe was amazing. It was expensive, £25 for an adult, £15 for 12 and above and free for under 12. Drinks were included, but again they use local spirits. You have to buy your own food.
Overall I wouldnt come back again, the pools and aqua park were really good and staff were nice too but the hotel needs to be maintained better and the quality of food needs to be addressed. I wouldnt call this hotel a 5 star, maybe a 3 star.
