We stayed here 2 years ago and had no hesitation booking again. We arrived late at night from the airport and really tired. We were allocated to the same room we had 2 years ago 2010 but when we got there the staff couldn't open the door as the door card reader was broken. They called maintenance and over an hour later decided to move us rooms. We went to 1007 which seemed fine until we found the air conditioning would not work. Again, maintenance came and tried but could not fix. Eventually we moved to 1008 which was all ok but this was over 2 hours after check in. The room we had was in a lovely quiet area of the hotel with stunning views to the beach and out to Tiran Island. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean and the cleaning staff were really polite and helpful. The beach was lovely and quiet always with lots of sunbeds available. However, on a few occasions they put up a bar, kids games, dance shows etc in the middle of the day right by the quiet part of the beach and the sound system was absolutely deafening. The pool area always had sunbeds reserved by people getting up early and putting their towels out and the area was pretty noisy and busy most of the time. The bar area in the lobby is a great place to relax with friendly polite staff. The restaurant however is absolute chaos. Always busy to the point you sometimes can't find a table. Far too may children out of control running around makes it a pretty dangerous place. Screaming and shouting and really not a pleasant experience. The staff do a good job but the food has really gone downhill since our last stay. We got so fed up with it we went out to eat toward the end of our stay. We had 1 meal at the a la carte which was pretty inedible There was no choice of starter just a tiny bit of soup. Mains was a choice of beef steak or mixed grill which we had. It was so dry, a kebab, piece of chicken not fully cooked through and a couple of other things I'm not sure of. Desert was a plate of grapes, apple and other fruit - no other options. A tube of pringles filled the gap for us! The staff are the credit to this hotel particularly the lovely guy driving the golf buggy and helping with the bags, the cleaners, waiters and bar staff. However, some of them are quite rude and intrusive. Constantly asking where you from and as soon as they heard UK they began talking in a ridiculous attempt at a cockney accent. As a very proud Northerner with a great Yorkshire accent this really started to annoy me as it was relentless. Sad to say that despite the great location and lovely hotel I wouldn't return. What was a lovely small relaxing and pleasant hotel has pretty much turned into a zoo. Not everyone has the same taste and for some this would be a great place to stay but unfortunately no longer for us.
The rest was really good. The hotel is quite compact and comfortable, the food was varied and tasty. I especially wanted to note the cleanliness of the rooms. Abdalla's cleaner did his job flawlessly! I recommend!
Lovely hotel, staff and atmosphere is lovely, rooms are cleaned every day with new towels also changed and really quiet. Couldn't fault the hotel or staff. Location is not brilliant but you can get a taxi to naama bay and soho square just one an app called indrive.
Everything was perfect . I just suggest not to be much hurry at picking up the service when we were eating lunch & dinner at restaurant . Sometimes they picked up our service although we have not finished yet. However this is very small detail as all of the personnel made a great job which we appreciate very much . Cleaning , food service, shows at night were fantastic. Just a little advice for nightshow area , it is not suitable for this kind of shows as most of the guests especially kids were walking around while they were doing their performance. It also seems a bit dangerous and does not look nice when we take the video of performance.
What a hotel! Just home from an 11 night stay here and all 3 of us ere very happy with the hotel, the staff, the food, the drinks, the facilities and everything else they provide. Check in was easy and quick and we were helped to our room with our bags. We arrived after 11pm but food and drinks were available for us. The beach is lovely with lots of parasols, sunbeds and windbreakers to keep the breeze off if you want. The bar staff will occasionally come around when they have time and take drinks orders but it only a short walk to the bar and toilet area to order drinks which when they are not too busy they will bring to you spot on the beach. The bar tenders are always friendly and polite. A credit to the hotel. Rooms are spacious, we had a superior family room with garden view but had a stunning view of the sea as well as gardens. They are clean, well maintained on a daily basis with clean bedding, towels and bins always emptied and any dirty dished taken away. No complaints or issues with the room other than the patio door wouldn't lock on our first night but once reported to reception was quickly fixed. Food is varied but always hot and plentiful. I would say that it is hard to be hungry at this hotel and even picky eaters like myself were able to always find something good to eat. The main bars are well stocked and the alcohol is strong. The entertainment team do a fantastic job and work very hard. Every day there were activities to join in with if you wanted too, bocca, volleyball, darts, trampoline, ping pong, water polo, water aerobics etc The team isn't pushy, if you want to join in you are very welcomed but if you just want to relax they won't bother you. Night-time shows were good, kids disco then usually a dance troop and then a singer or musician of some description. We enjoyed both being at the main entertainment and also sitting in the cooler inside bar upstairs for some quiet time. We would very happily return this hotel again and recommend to both couples and families.
