Fab hotel for Families.

I will be writing this review throughout the holiday.

We arrived around 11:30pm to a lovely welcome from the reception team. Swift check in, internet explained and then took on a golf cart to our room with our cases.

Room 11203 There’s four of us staying (Me, my husband 2 sons 18&6) Room is very clean, the room is partitioned by two sliding doors the main bed is huge, then two single beds on the other side of the partition. Fresh fruit on table was a nice touch.

We made our way downstairs as there are late night snacks available. This was Breads, pizza, chicken strips, chips, burgers etc

Wifi The first 10gb is free once this is used you can pay £10 for unlimited internet for upto 8 devices. It’s not bad just often drops out and you have to reconnect.

Sunbeds The first day I was down around 8:30 easily got 4 loungers (pool attendant came straight over to help) there’s still ample of beds at 10am. Lots of people reserving beds going for breakfast and returning not long after, not seen many left for longer which is good to see.

I like to get down early (around 7am to have some peace and quiet and read a book) however one day I was up very early and caught the sunrise which beautiful.

Breakfast A wide variety of cereals, pastry’s, fruits and breads. Eggs, beans hash browns chicken/beef sausages (no pork but we are in a Muslim country so I wasn’t expecting this tbh) Omelette stations and they are very good. Lots of options IE onions cheese peppers etc

Bamboo (Chinese) We really enjoyed the Chinese, good menu and added bonus of children’s menu (although we didn’t use this) prawn crackers to start with on the table with dips. Main was beautiful. Portions are a good size. Could easily have the side of rice with chicken for a main. Would be better with the option of a curry sauce though for rice.

Main restaurant. Special night theme tonight, plenty to choose from grilled steak, grilled chicken, pasta, rice, salad etc 8/10

Mexican night Was looking forward to this as I enjoy Mexican food, was a little disappointed no fajitas. There was enchiladas, quesadilla’s spicy rice and nachos but that’s about it for Mexican.

Shops There’s a few shops massively overpriced (as expected) but can get everything you need. Just be careful the supermarket will charge you different each night. Your best going out the hotel and as you come out the gate there’s a shop with drinks & crisp 2 for £1 or crossing over to waves.

Mosquitoes Seen a few people with bites and our friend got loads of them on her leg, I personally believe it’s the terrace as she smokes and nipped out from the theatre to smoke, all holiday I didn’t get one however the night I sat out all night on the terrace and I get bitten. (I normally get loads no matter where we go) I also sprayed our room with Raid spray wishing I put in my case.

Spa As with every holiday I like to have a spa day. A Few hours to myself and chance to relax. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the two hour package (sauna, steam, scrub then wrapped up like an Egyptian mummy, face mask and full body massage) definitely worth the money. I paid £90

Poolside entertainment (the purples) These guys are brilliant. Lots of pool dances, games, quizzes, pool bingo which all the kids (and adults) loved! Lots of interaction from the team. No pressure to join in. Danni & Jacob can I have some of your energy.

Evening entertainment Children’s disco and games are brilliant, all the kids love it, lots of chances to join in (and sometimes adults) Silent disco was fab!

One thing noticeable is the adult entertainment at night is a little less than expected. That we have seen so far, just a quiz quite late on the terrace it’s a fun quiz and challenges and is good fun. This is a family resort and the entertainment reflects this. I think it’s each to their own we like a mixture of both family shows and late night music. However I will say the lack of this didn’t spoil the holiday it’s merely just a personal preference.

Waterpark Water park was great only over the road just ask the security guard and he will help you across the road. Drinks and snacks are included over there as part of your all inclusive.

Sari (Indian) We had a lovely evening here, a wide variety. The children’s menu was very good too. Popadom starter with chutney dips Onion bhaji (one dog thw best I’ve tasted) Josh shorpa soup (lamb soup) absolutely beautiful Chicken pakora Chicken masala Sheek kebab Tandoori chicken Plain rice Rice pudding

We tried the desserts but was made with rose water and it was over powering 😩 and not made with pudding rice.

8/10

Alcohol Now this is where I feel the resort is let down. Tried lots of different cocktails and each. Cheap spirits which taste revolting. Strawberry daiquiri is not frozen Beer is good (according to husband)

4/10

Steakhouse AMAZING!! This is the best A La Carte at the hotel. From start to finish everything was amazing. It is a little hot in there though. All four of us enjoyed it (7 year loved cooking his own steak) Only my partner had a starter which apparently the best stuffed mushrooms he’s ever had.

Stuffed mushrooms with cheese 2 x fillet of beef 1 x chicken breast 1 satay combination (prawns were amazing) Side of fries Side of vegetables Side of rice

You cook each meal to your preference. Can honestly say was our favourite meal. On the beach so a nice sea view. 10/10

CLEANERS Our cleaner was Jamal (block 11) he was fab! Plenty of times I left my iPad/airpods/money lying around (unintentionally) and each time was never touched.

Pool towels Replaced as and when you would like. Just leave them at your door or give them to the cleaner and they will bring fresh ones back either around 6pm or leave them at your door before 8am. You can also grab some from reception if like me you are up before the cleaner arrives.

Late check out Just ask reception the day before. We had no problems doing this yesterday. They simply just gave us new door cards to use. It cost roughly £42

All in all we had a fab holiday, the one or two bad bits wasn’t major for us (except the daiquiris 😂 for me). However (and no fault of the hotel) we probably wouldn’t return to Egypt due to the airport. It was horrendous.

Best family holiday 10/10

From start to finish we cant fault this hotel. Only problem we had was leaving to come home. For an all Inclusive we found the food lovely. Always something to eat and always tasty 😋. The al a carte we done was American diner and chinese and both were amazing. The buffet restaurant was equally tasty. We think if anyone has a problem with the food and choices they must be very very picky. Well the staff absolutely made this hotel and holiday for us. Reception staff security absolutely every one of them. Always happy to help. And a special mention to 4 of our faves who we got on great with and honestly went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. Osama from buffet restaurant was a gentleman. Such a kind caring guy. Even gave us a wee special tea to help our sons cough and recommended a medicine for him. He worked buffet morning pool snack bar lunch time and Indian A la carte in the evening. Then on to Ahmed our pool bar waiter. Got to know our drinks and always came by to make sure we were ok and when we needed another. He worked in entertainment bar at night. Such a lovely happy guy. Then we have Diaa our lifeguard. He worked so hard. Was so friendly and always looked out for us. Making sure we comfortable and having the best time. Then last but not least was Toby from the HV entertainment team. He was fantastic. So full of energy. Our son is quite shy and doesnt like to join in with anything but if Toby was around he wanted to. He was so full of energy and very enthusiastic. The entertainment team honestly made the days fantastic by pool. So much going on. All fun wether you are joining in or just watching from your lounger. The whole team so happy. Night time is aimed for more the younger kids but we all enjoyed that as well. 1st holiday we have been on and our son has wanted to go and watch (hes 10). He just doesnt like that kind of stuff. But he defo did this time. Even if he was just watching it.. also a mention to our room cleaner. Who we actually never saw while we were there. Our room was always clean and lovely made up. All in all this has been an amazing holiday for us and we cant wait to return again next year. Thanks Team Holiday Village for the best 👌

Honest Review about Holiday village

We spent 2 weeks here from late June to July 14 during the peak summer heat. Overall, it’s a beautifully kept resort with great dining options, but the entertainment program definitely leaves room for improvement. If you are balancing younger kids and teenagers, here is our honest breakdown of the highs and lows. THE MAIN PROS Wonderful, Welcoming Staff: The staff here absolutely deserve a special mention. They are incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely made our family feel special throughout our entire 2-week stay. Their top-tier hospitality is a massive credit to the resort. Immaculate Property & Grounds: The resort is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The gardens are gorgeous, the public spaces are spotless, and both the swimming pools and the private beach are kept pristine. Great Food & Worry-Free Ice: The food variety is excellent. The main buffet is solid (the live egg station at breakfast is fantastic), and the poolside snack bars offer great lunch alternatives. The best part? The ice is completely safe. None of our family got ill at all, meaning you can fully relax and enjoy your drinks. Easy À La Carte Bookings: Unlike many resorts where booking a themed restaurant requires waking up at dawn, this resort has convenient touchscreen kiosks in reception. You can book 48 hours in advance with zero stress. We loved mixing up our evenings this way—the Indian and Greek restaurants were standout favorites! Free Sister Resort Aqua Park Access: Booking here gives you free access to the larger aqua park located just across the road at the sister resort. While it is not quite as nice or well-presented as our main resort, it features 5-6 good slides for older kids and the same for smaller ones. It is great for a fun 2-hour burst to switch things up. Fantastic Aerial High Ropes: The resort features a high wire/aerial adventure course. Our 9-year-old tried this activity and absolutely loved it. It’s well-run and highly recommended for kids looking for a bit of adventure. THINGS TO CONSIDER / THE NEGATIVES Underwhelming Evening Entertainment: If you've been to TUI Magic Life or top resorts in Turkey and Tunisia, you will be disappointed. The entertainment here feels more like a low-budget UK caravan park than a high-end international resort. It relies heavily on shouting by the main pool during the day, and basic karaoke, pub quizzes, or silent discos at night. We lucked out because the World Cup was airing, which gave families a natural focal point to hang out—otherwise, we would have been incredibly bored in the evenings. Football Academy Age Gaps: The coaches are fantastic, but the structure is flawed for teenagers. They bundle kids aged 5 to 15 together, which means a 14- or 15-year-old is playing with toddlers. The absolute "sweet spot" for this academy is ages 8 to 11. Our 9-year-old made tons of friends, but it was a bit of a waste for our 14-year-old. Family Room Layout & Balcony Space: The rooms themselves are clean and have brilliant air conditioning. However, the extra beds in the family rooms are sofa beds. While fine for a 9-year-old, our 14-year-old found them small and quite hard. Additionally, the balconies only come equipped with two chairs and one table—a bit frustrating for a family of four—and there are no loungers for private sunbathing. Shallow Resort Beach: While the resort's private beach and pier are immaculate and great for a quick 30-to-60-minute dip to swim with the fish, the water is very shallow. It is not an ideal spot for a dedicated, long-duration snorkeling session. OUR EXCURSION FEEDBACK & TIPS After a few days at the resort, we decided to book some trips. Here is our direct feedback on what is worth your time and money:

  1. The Ultimate Highlight: Book a Private Jet Boat Trip. If you want truly magical snorkeling, bypass the standard tours and book a private jet boat out to Jackson Reef (off Tiran Island). It was the most incredible snorkeling I have ever done. The reef drops 40 meters straight down and you get to swim right along the edge of the shelf, followed by a second, shallower 10-meter swim teeming with fish. To top it off, we had wild dolphins swim right alongside our boat. It is worth every penny.
  2. Desert Buggies & Soho Square. For daytime thrills, we highly recommend booking the Dune Buggies. We went just outside Sharm, racing across the desert sand as a family of four, which was brilliant fun, and finished the experience with traditional tea with the Bedouins. For a great evening out, take a 3-hour night trip to Soho Square. The kids loved the hustle and bustle, the dancing water fountain show, and the Ice Bar. The food feels very safe there.
  3. Skip (or Prepare for) the Standard TUI Boat Trip. We booked the standard all-day TUI boat trip, and honestly, it wasn’t the best. While the food was okay and TUI responsibly warned us about the extra 500 Egyptian Pound port tax per person, the snorkeling itself felt way too repetitive and crowded. You get three 30-minute slots in the water, but you are swimming with 40 other people at the same time, and the final stop was just off a main public beach.

Quick Resort Tip: If the loud music at the main pool gets to be too much, escape to the quiet pool to swim in peace. And when the mid-July heat peaks, head to the air-conditioned coffee bar near reception—our 9-year-old practically drank his body weight in their excellent iced chocolates!
