First time to the Aurora and to Egypt and would definitely return! Hotel is absolutely beautiful, grounds are kept pristine, every little detail is considered. Reception staff are very welcoming, pleasant and extremely helpful.
We stayed in the deluxe room and although basic, rooms are spacious, clean and direct access to the pool. We travelled as a family of 9 and we requested rooms close by, this was done and we were all next to each other.
Entertainment was ok but nothing amazing, as first time to Egypt not sure if this is the norm but we still enjoyed each night. Fire show and dancers were really good but being there for 2 weeks it was repetitive.
Food was brilliant, always a good selection. Very fussy eater so did survive of pizza and chips but other family members tried almost everything. The al a carte is lovely and would definitely recommend a visit to there.
All staff we encountered were polite, helpful and could not do enough for us. I would like to especially shout out - Syed our cleaner, exceptionally clean every day. Left some brilliant towel art which we loved.
Fady- at the deluxe swim up bar, made our holiday even better. Friendly, funny and so helpful.
Muhammed Ali and Ahmed - lifeguards/ towel men from deluxe pool. Always friendly making conversations, funny and could have a laugh with them.
Wish I could remember more names but a couple of restaurants staff could not do enough for us, always making a table big enough for the group soon as he saw us.
Oldish security man on in a evening, very friendly and welcoming
All in all I would recommend the Aurora to everyone looking for a nice clean base in egypt.
Brilliant Family Holiday βοΈπͺπ¬β€οΈ Weβve just come back from our second visit to this hotel and had another brilliant family holiday. Weβve already booked our next visit, so that probably says it all! π¨ Hotel & Location The staff really make this hotel. Everyone is friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The grounds are beautiful and very well looked after. The gardening team work so hard in the heat to keep everything looking great.
We stayed in a double pool-view room, which was spacious and clean for 2 adults and 2 children. The bathroom is a little dated and could do with modernising, but it was fine for our stay. Our housekeeper also made us smile with some great towel designs!
The location is handy, with Arub Bucks, Hard Rock Cafe and Wild West all within walking distance if you fancy a night out meal out.
At the hotel we really enjoyed snorkelling straight off the jetty and saw plenty of fish. Weβd also recommend a boat trip such as White Island β definitely worth doing.
Itβs worth being realistic that this isnβt a UK/EU 5-star hotel in terms. However, for the price, the staff work incredibly hard to give you 5-star service, and thatβs what really stands out.
π½οΈ Restaurant & Food There was a good choice of food throughout our stay. Myself and my daughter are quite fussy, but we always found something. Breakfast had pancakes, waffles, pastries, cereal and eggs, with plenty of choice at lunch and dinner too, including pasta, pizza, soups and fries.
A special mention to Mahmoud, who looked after us so well. He always took the time to chat to our little girl, ask about her day and make her feel special. Those little touches really mean a lot.
All the restaurant staff, chefs and cleaning team work incredibly hard and were always friendly and helpful and with current works to the front of the hotel we canβt wait to return and visit the new restaurant.
πΆ Entertainment We spent a lot of time at the main pool but there were activities taking place at the pool area and beach including foam and colour parties, darts, stretching and aqua dance and chances to learn the club dances with the animation team. Yousef deserves a special mention. We as a family loved the aqua dance with him! He was always encouraging everyone to join in and made it so much fun. He was also genuinely friendly and always stopped to say hello and have a chat. A real credit to the animation team.
Our little girl absolutely loved the mini disco with Nawal and really enjoyed the evening entertainment. β€οΈ
βοΈ Overall Another fantastic family holiday, and weβve already booked to come back! Great staff, good location, plenty to do and great value for money. See you next time! βοΈπͺπ¬β€οΈ
We had an amazing time at the Aurora Oriental. A great location, with the beach at the resort. Although the rooms were a little dated, they were always kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the house keeping could not do enough for you and were always around to ask for extra towels etc. we found all the staff extremely hard working and friendly who really added to making our holiday special. The food was excellent, with a great variety to suit every need, even having just plan pasta and chips for those who are fussy. It could be quite busy in the buffet at opening times, so we did have to queue at times but we didnβt mind. The hotel had lots of space, with 3 pools (one for those who wanted to join in activities, and a slide, another quiet pool for those who would like to relax and another with a swim up bar) there was also different activities at the beach. The entertainment team were great. I think some new people started at the beginning of our holiday but it was great to see them grow in confidence with each day and each activity given. We had great fun joining in with morning stretching, waterpolo, darts, aqua dance, Olympic Games, foam parties, colour parties, fruit parties and yoga during the day. In the evening there was a great mini disco for the children, our favourite was the dance routines after mini disco before the evening entertainment came on. The evening entertainment took place at either the pool bar, the amphitheatre or on the beach and consisted of fire shows, Egyptian dances, singers, folklore dance's and dance groups from different countries. The entertainment team took us out to the Hard Rock Cafe for a great DJ set and we felt 100% safe with them, they really looked after us. They also took my daughter to a club in town and again took great care of her ensuring she got home safely. ( a big thank you to Aly and Youssef)
We had the best family holiday
We had a really lovely family holiday at Aurora Oriental Resort Nabq Bay. We were a family of four with two children under 10, and our room, which was in the 4000 block, was absolutely fine for us. The kids slept on the sofa bed and it worked well. We were on the first floor and looked out onto a small wall, but we could still see the mountains beyond it. To be honest, we were happy with it because it was nice and quiet. There are several pools and kids' pools to choose from, which was great. We had one near us with a swim-up pool bar, which we really enjoyed! The bar staff and the pool/towel guys were all lovely. They were also happy to fill up your own thermos cup if you brought one, which was a nice touch. Reception were very helpful too whenever we had any questions or queries. Late checkout was available to us at Β£5 per hour, which, in my opinion, was definitely worth it. We also hired a cabana on the beach for $15 per day and again, I thought it was well worth the money. The beach also had a foam party for the kids, so we had very happy children! There is a kids' club available, although mine didn't use it. The animation team were good and there was always something going on around the pool, as well as shows at the beach and in the amphitheatre. We went to a few of the shows and really enjoyed the fire show. Entertainment finished by around 10pm and wasn't too loud in the evenings, which suited us perfectly with young children. The hotel is on a main road and there is a shopping mall and plenty of restaurants just outside, including Hard Rock, McDonald's and KFC. We also tried Arab Bucks, which was a nice change and somewhere different to eat. The food at the hotel was good and there was always something to eat. There was a different theme most evenings, with pasta and pizza stations always available. Breakfast was especially nice, with lovely fresh pastries, freshly made waffles and pancakes, and an omelette station. Delicious! The chefs work really hard, and in fact, so do all the staff. If you can tip, it's appreciated. A little tip if you do get a dicky tummy! My partner was absolutely fine, but I had one day where I wasn't feeling great. It wasn't a big deal, and we went to the blue pharmacy across the road from the hotel, just to the left on the edge of the mall β El Eazby, I think it's called. They sorted me out for a fraction of the price of the pharmacy by the hotel gate. The bar staff were also lovely and I really enjoyed the cocktails, especially the whiskey sours. Mmmm! All of the staff were good with the children and very patient and friendly. The gardens are immaculate and beautifully kept. Housekeeping were great too and made us some lovely towel animals. We were also able to eat at La Terrazza Italian restaurant during our stay, and the food there was lovely. Overall, I would definitely return to Aurora Oriental Resort. I've already booked somewhere else for next year, but after that, I would happily come back here. It was a great family holiday, the staff work incredibly hard, the kids were happy!
The service, the sea, the atmosphere, the cleanliness, and the staff β everything there is exceptional.
