Naama Waves Hotel

Location was spot on, once we got our bearings. 10 minute walk through the sister hotel to get to Naama Bay strip. Entertainment staff were amazing always walking around making sure everyone was OK. Getting you and the kids involved in the activities especially Dana.

The pool boy was amazing putting our towels out on our preferred beds before we even got out of bed.

The food was so so. What you expect from an all inclusive. Always something everyone would eat. Having lunch in the Mexican is definitely the choice to go with.

Bar staff couldn't do anything more for you. Hossan was unbelievable, amazing with everybody. Never let your cups empty and overall nice guy!!

Would defo come back. Only negative was the majority of the Russians who thought they owned the place!!

Food was cold and sometimes uncooked. Staff were nice. Pool area uncared for.

We stayed at Naama waves hotel from mid July to the end of July being one of the few British families to visit.

We have had a wonderful stay during our two weeks here and have had many fantastic encounters which I would like to share.

Firstly - the restaurant understandably mainly caters to other guests as there are not many British families here but there is always something to eat. We do however wish there were more simplistic meals as the children found the menu tricky at times. The restaurant staff are incredibly helpful, helping to carry our drinks and ensure all of our needs are catered for. Ahmed B the restaurant manager can always be found with a smile and was always on hand to help where needed. Ahmed G equally was amazing and both them and the team put on fantastic celebrations for both of my son’s birthdays whilst we were here. Additionally although we forgot to book the Italian or Egyptian restaurants we did enjoy the food in the Egyptian restaurant next to the shop at lunch times which served more like traditional British pub food (burger and chips etc!)

All of the bar staff have been fantastic, I can honestly say that they are truly wonderful and an asset to the hotel. Having travelled in July it has been extremely hot but they have ensured that we do not go thirsty whilst making sure that our children are praised for their manners (a hugely important aspect for our family as we really encourage respect for others!). The array of cocktails and mocktails is fantastic and it’s been lovely for the children to have juice instead of fizzy as they don’t always take well to water. The iced coffees have been a huge hit!! We would highly recommend the cocktail menu to nosey through when you arrive as this set us in good stead for the remainder of our stay! Thank you so much Mahmoud, Mohamed, Ragab and Hossam!! The lifeguards and pool team are incredible. I’m excited to say this is one of the first hotels that I’ve visited in the school holidays that has an abundance of sun loungers and there is no fighting or sun bed wars because of this - a true novelty that has set the whole vibe of our time here - relaxing and peaceful! The facilities regarding pools are exceptional for the size of hotel - we particularly loved the wave pool and the slides! We have made many happy family memories here. Additionally, they were able to loan out life jackets for my sons to use allowing us to rest assured that they are safe!

The entertainment team have been fantastic - the children have loved attending the mini disco daily and we loved the fire show. There are multiple activities for adults to engage in throughout the day such as darts, water polo, yoga etc. It would be lovely to see more children’s activities happening with the kids club being closed - this hasn’t been a deal breaker for us as we likely wouldn’t have used it however with the heat having somewhere shady for the children to play/ relax/ colour etc would be amazing!

All in all we’ve had a fantastic break and both of my children have commented on how wonderful of a holiday it has been and how great everyone made their birthdays. We hope to be back another year!!
