Not all I elusive at all no entertainment apart from one night that was not bad bar shuts @10 the swimming pool shuts @5.30 food disgusting not ob private beach like it said it was a coach laid on the jacuzzi jets only 2 worked not 4 star at all very disappointed my son took me there as a surprise

First and foremost, THIS HOTEL IS NOT 'ALL INCLUSIVE!' Right, now we've got that said, let's dive in further. All inclusive food is at set meal times only, breakfast 7 - 10, lunch 1 - 3, dinner 7 - 9, beer or wine is only part of AI at meal times, in the main restaurant, and served in small glasses, outside of the restaurant times you have to pay! If you want food outside of these time's, you have to pay. If you want ice cream, you have to pay! Coffee (instant), along with Pepsi and Sprite, are available from the pool bar, mostly in mini plastic cups. Cheap rum and vodka are also available, but that's it, literally no other spirits, not even Malibu! Food in the restaurant was of extremely variable quality, most of which leans towards Muslim tastes, very few options for European visitors, this is also evident at breakfast, where the choices for us were omelet, pastries (which I had every day) or pancakes. We were so underwhelmed by lunch on day one, we skipped lunch going forward, waiting for the evening options, where every other day was barbecue chicken, which wasn't half bad. When we arrived late on day one, we were greeted (if you can call it that), by the male receptionist who didn't utter a single word, who threw down our single key card, and called over someone to show us to our pool view room. On entering we were greeted by a room that looked like it had not seen any improvement since the place was built (late 1980s perhaps?), with old and tired furnishings, a fridge that was completely iced up, and two single beds! I told the bell boy we were expecting a double bed, and without a single word, proceeded to push the beds together! The head boards are fixed to the wall, so no longer matched up. The netting between the curtains and the black out curtain had what looked like black mould on it. Going into the bathroom, the shower head hanging down from the ceiling didn't move (plus water pressure is very low), plenty of limescale around the sink, and a toilet roll holder that was mobile whenever you touched it. There was also toothpaste spots on the sink tap and soap drip marks underneath the soap dispenser, which were there our whole stay. Although the cleaner visited our room nearly every day, we're not quite sure what he did, other than make our bed, and make amusing animals from the towels, the bedding was never changed the whole two weeks we were there. A couple of days in, our shower drain slowed right down, to the point where the whole area filled up and overflowed. I informed the unhelpful person in reception, and literally nothing was done. I went back a few days later, and this time someone came and cleared the drain of built up hair, but within a couple of days, it was back to normal, with water spilling out over the floor and under the toilet cistern! The main pool was very poorly maintained, my wife noticed the bottom metal step, on exiting was loose, and had turned 180' when she went to stand on it, almost hurting her foot on the sharp metal. She pointed this out to the life guard who said he'd fix it, but the next day she found the middle step had been moved down to replace the loose one, and no middle step! Later in our holiday, we were sat at the pool bar with friends we'd made, and I looked round at the pool with nobody in it, all calm with no splashing, and I noticed several loose/damaged tiles at the bottom! Pushy and insistent tour reps go hand in hand with these sort of resorts, and everyone knows to expect them, but nobody could possibly be more annoying, arrogant and underhanded than Ahmed. We booked a trip out to White Island through him, which included the opportunity to do reef snorkeling along the way. We booked a special package which meant we were to be supplied with a snorkel each. We were picked up on time with a few other guests and taken to the marina where all water trips are run from, but on arrival we were asked where our snorkels were, and we were told that we had to supply our own! We explained what we were told, and the chap was very insistent that they were not supplied. After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, he eventually agreed to lend us his, which we agreed to, but he later began putting pressure on us to give a good tip for his help! Over the next few days, we spoke with numerous other guests who all had major issues with the tour rep, all saying the same thing "Never again, wouldn't touch him with a barge pool!" How they allow this guy to continue to operate on their premises is beyond us. He continued to badger us for another day even though we'd already complained to him about our experience, to make another booking for a buggy trip into the Desert, and we got so sick of him, we just said we're not interested, we're booking another massage instead, now leave us alone! Many other horror stories about him will continue to come to light in other reviews I'm sure. Now I now this last section may not be completely relevant to the hotel, but I feel it's essential to painting a full picture of our holiday experience. In the reception above the desk are two video screens showing a revolving slide show of shots around the resort, all of which are clearly waaaay out of date, including the spa pool, never seen it in operation), Mamma Mia's Italian restaurant (now derelict), new rooms that are probably from other Tivoli hotels, water slides looking good (not any more!). A few members of staff do deserve a shout out, Walad the restaurant manager, who always looked after us, along with some of his waiting team, and bar manager Ibrahim, who kept our glasses and cups topped up, but literally everyone else was completely forgettable. This hotel needs so much done to it to get it up to an acceptable standard, I strongly believe the best course of action would be to pull it down and start again from scratch, as I seriously doubt the current owners would want to throw good money at it, as it's reputation is already in tatters. Perhaps they should try actually visiting it and seeing the state it's in first hand. All I can say to any potential victims is avoid this place like your life depended on it, I wouldn't return to this place if it was the last hotel in existence.
