Reef Oasis Blue Bay Resort and Spa

We came here in July / Aug ‘26 with friends & family (there was a group of 11 of us altogether). I have been to Egypt 3 times and loved it every time but this was the best hotel by far…

Situated a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of Sharm El-Sheikh, Reef Oasis Blue has its own private stretch of beach with access to the sea. After walking just a few steps on the jetty, you are plunged into very deep water with breathtaking coral and a huge variety of fish. It is perfect for snorkelling - or you can get private scuba lessons / trips if that’s more your thing.

The hotel itself has several pools - including a ‘leisure pool’ with slides for the kids, an infinity pool overlooking the ocean and a huge ‘adults only’ pool - perfect if you want a bit of peace and quiet!

It is surprisingly easy to grab sunbeds by any of the pools and you are never too far away from a great range of drinks / snacks (including on the beach).

The hotel has 3 different buffet restaurants and 3 à la carte restaurants (one French, one Italian and one seafood). The food was absolutely fabulous in all and the waiters are amazing.

Actually, I couldn’t fault any of the staff at all. The hotel was really clean and the bar staff always made sure you were topped up! The general manager couldn’t do enough for us and even refunded my friend’s taxi fare when she was disappointed by a trip out! Tipping is optional but much appreciated (we took US $ and tipped gradually as we went along).

The only thing that could be improved was the quality of the evening entertainment. Though to be fair, the hotel is owned by an Italian travel company and I may have enjoyed it more if I spoke Italian! They often had live music in the chilled-out Caribbean bar (where we spent most of our evenings). A trip out to Soho and / or the ‘Hard Rock Cafe’ is worth a visit too!

In addition to all of the above, the hotel has an on-site spa facility (which we didn’t use) and a strip of private shops (perfect for gifts to take home, haggling allowed!).

The excursions are what you might expect (and similar to what you’d find in any Egyptian hotel). The camel ride / stargazing in the desert is a great experience and, due to the size of our group, we were lucky enough to be able to hire a private yacht for the day (complete with guide) for the day - this was amazing!

I have been to lots of all-inclusive hotels and this is definitely up there with the best of them. Normally, I wouldn’t return to the same one (like to experience new things) but I’d definitely think about returning here. Thank you for making our holiday so magical!

One of the worst experiences, I was waiting up 18:00 PM to check-in due to issues on my daughter date of Birth, however, the way of the manager dealt with the situation, unbelievable, the way of problem solving are terribly frustrating, however, we went the room, AC too noisy, save box not working, room too dirty, no hygiene at all, I did ask to meet the GM , they said he is not in duty, I did check out the second day after was planning to stay a week, I have to call booking.com 6 times to solve the situation, thank you so much Booking.com so professional, am lucky to book through booking.com they very much professional rather than the hotel.
