We’ve recently returned from 12 nights (Aug2026) at this amazing resort, travelling as a family of four, and we genuinely enjoyed every single day.
The hotel itself is fairly new, around four years old, and everything is modern, beautifully maintained and finished to a very high standard. From the lobby and rooms to the food, pools and beach, there really isn’t much to fault. But while all of those things are important, what really makes this hotel stand out are the staff. Every member of staff we came across was polite, friendly and worked tirelessly each day to deliver a consistently high level of service, even during the busiest periods. You could see that they genuinely cared about making sure guests were enjoying their stay.
A special mention has to go to Mr George, who is a fantastic ambassador for the hotel. What a genuinely nice person. He was always smiling, happy to say hello and have a conversation, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure guests had a memorable stay — for all the right reasons! Keep up the great work, sir.
Mr Manuel, the General Manager, also deserves a mention. He was regularly engaging with both guests and staff, and came across as someone who treats everyone equally. He leads his team with kindness and, importantly, gives them the opportunity to grow and develop. That sort of leadership really does filter down through the hotel and is noticeable in the way the staff interact with guests.
We’ve visited Dubai many, many times and were actually due to return this year. However, due to the current situation in the region, we decided to cancel those plans. Looking back, we’re so glad we did, because it gave us the opportunity to discover Steigenberger Ras Soma.
We were impressed from the moment the taxi door opened. We were welcomed inside, shown somewhere to sit and offered refreshments while the staff took our passports and completed our check-in. Within around 10–15 minutes, everything was done — we didn’t even have to approach the front desk ourselves. After a long day of travelling, that was a fantastic first impression.
Our room was pool-facing, giving us a lovely view across the pool area, with the sea visible further beyond. We certainly weren’t disappointed. The room was exceptionally clean and finished to a very high standard. As a family of four, we opted for a family room, which offered a great amount of space. There is a dividing door in the middle of the room, giving parents a little privacy, which is always appreciated! My wife and I had a huge bed — you could easily sleep three people on it — while the kids had two single sofa beds, which they were more than happy with.
The evening entertainment is also a little different from what you might find at some all-inclusive resorts. Rather than relying solely on an animation team for the evening shows, the hotel brings in professional acts to perform each night. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings and watching the performances. For what they are, we found them very enjoyable and it was a lovely way to spend the evening.
There are two main pools, both of which are very large and appear almost identical in size. One is more of a chilled, relaxed area with a swim-up bar, while the other is geared more towards activities such as ball games and water polo. There is also a separate children’s pool with a covered area for smaller children. There were plenty of sun loungers available, including some actually positioned within the pool itself — these quickly became our favourites!
The beach is beautiful too, with plenty of loungers and incredibly clear water. One thing we particularly enjoyed was the temperature of the sea. We’re used to visiting Dubai in August, where the sea can feel like a warm bath, so having genuinely cool, refreshing seawater was a real treat!
The overall dining experience was very good. Breakfast was as lavish as you would expect from a five-star resort, with plenty of choice to suit most tastes. Lunch and dinner in the main buffet restaurant were also excellent, with a huge variety of food and, in our opinion, very good quality. Of course, food is subjective, but for an all-inclusive resort, we were extremely happy. Importantly, nobody in our family experienced any issues with the food during our 12-night stay, which is always reassuring when travelling with children.
In short, Steigenberger Ras Soma is an amazing hotel with fantastic staff, excellent facilities and a very high standard throughout. I honestly think it would be difficult for most people to find much fault with it — although, of course, it’s impossible to please everyone!
The location is around a 45-minute drive from the airport and is a little more remote. Personally, I see that as a positive. The peaceful location is part of the appeal, and for what you get at the resort, the transfer time is a complete non-issue for us. We’ve travelled to Dubai many times and are used to experiencing five-star luxury there, so we weren’t expecting to be quite as blown away as we were by this resort. But Steigenberger Ras Soma really did impress us from start to finish.
The impression the hotel has left on us is strong enough that I’m already researching another visit for next year — which probably says more than anything else I could write!
Thank you to everyone at Steigenberger Ras Soma for making our 12-night stay such a memorable one.

Evrething is perfect, the room, minibar, cleanig, room keeping house manager, mohamed hashmat is great! 10 from me
We booked the hotel originally just for 2 nichts. We were totally impressed. Such service is just hardly to find anywhere. And it didn't matter where: it started from the very beginning in the parking, at the reception, the waiters, housekeeping. Everyone just want to make our stay outstanding and make ushappy! That's absolutely mindblowing. The variety in the food was just WOW! We were so happy and didn't want to leave, so we just booked another night directly in the hotel. We were lucky to attend the management cocktail. Such amazing evening. Mr. Manuel as the General Manager is just the perfect leader. His spanish mentalitity gave us right away the feeling to belong to "the family". We just can't mention all staff by name, but here some of the outstanding people who made our stay: Mr. Mahmoud (the Financial Manager), Mr. George (Executive Assistant Manager), Mohamed Hashmat (Housekeeping) and so many more. The friendliness and hospitality in this place is incredible.
One thing is for sure: We will definitely come back! We fall in love to this place!
This is the 4th Year we spend our summer vacation here. Every year brings new memories. This year was special with our room service man Ahmed (Room 1259) who was giving us new art made of towels every single day. It was fun thanks to Ahmed and all hotel staff who are nice and friendly.
