Wonderful and relaxing stay at Sheraton Soma Bay
We had a wonderful 11-night stay at Sheraton Soma Bay Resort and truly enjoyed our holiday from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. As we arrived late in the evening, dinner was arranged for us in our room and delivered shortly after check-in, which we really appreciated after our journey. It was a very nice start to our stay. Our room was beautiful, with a wonderful partial sea view.
We were particularly impressed by the excellent service, the cleanliness throughout the resort, and the wide variety and high quality of the food. All members of staff we interacted with were extremely friendly, helpful and professional, and their welcoming attitude contributed greatly to our overall experience.
The beach was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. It was absolutely beautiful, especially in the early morning when everything was peaceful and quiet. We loved taking our daily walks around the peninsula and along the long pier leading to the coral reef. We also went snorkeling there several times and really enjoyed the underwater life. The pool area was also very pleasant and well maintained, and provided another great place to relax during the day.
A special mention also goes to Bahar, who introduced us to the massage services available at the resort. He was always very friendly and professional, and we had several pleasant conversations during our stay. His warm and positive approach left a very good impression.
Overall, Sheraton Soma Bay Resort fully met our expectations. We were able to truly relax, enjoy the beautiful surroundings and have a wonderful holiday. After 11 nights, we left with very positive memories and would definitely be happy to return in the future.
Good value for money
Our stay at the Sheraton Soma Bay Resort this past week was absolute perfection, and it completely exceeded our expectations from the moment we checked in. The setting in Soma Bay is breathtaking—the beach is wide, powdery, and pristine, and the water is crystal clear with amazing shades of blue that you usually only see in brochures. We stayed in a sea-view room that was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, and waking up to that view of the Red Sea every morning was a dream. The service throughout the resort was warm and attentive, and the food at the main buffet and the Italian a la carte restaurant genuinely impressed us with its variety and quality. While the resort itself made it tempting to just lounge by the pool all day, we wanted to see some history, so we booked a couple of private excursions through Sheriff Egypt, a local company I found easily by searching online. Booking with them was one of the best decisions we made because their prices are noticeably lower than what the hotel guides were charging, and the level of service was miles ahead of a crowded tour bus. We ended up doing private day trips to both Cairo and Luxor, and opting for the individual program was entirely worth it. We had our own dedicated, incredibly knowledgeable private guide who spoke fluent English and tailored the pacing completely to us, making sure we beat the major tour bus crowds at the Giza Pyramids and the Karnak Temple. To top it all off, they picked us up right from the Sheraton lobby in a brand-new 2026-model minibus that was spotless, extremely comfortable, and air-conditioned, making the long drives to and from Luxor and Cairo feel completely effortless. If you are staying at Soma Bay and want to explore Egypt in comfort and style without overpaying the resort reps, look up Sheriff Egypt—you won't regret it!

Vacation for body and soul part II
Returning to Sheraton Soma Bay Resort was once again a wonderful experience for us. After having such beautiful memories from our previous stay, we were very happy to discover that the same high level of hospitality, service and warmth was waiting for us again this year.
From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcome. The staff throughout the hotel were always friendly, attentive and ready to help, making our vacation relaxing and truly enjoyable. We would especially like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Monsef Fakhary for his kindness, professionalism and personal attention. His efforts helped make our stay even more special, and we are very grateful for everything he did for us.
The resort itself remains a beautiful place to spend a vacation. The wonderful beach, warm and crystal-clear sea and fascinating underwater world make Soma Bay truly special. The food was excellent, with a great selection and consistently high quality, and the service throughout the resort was once again at a very high standard.
It is always a great feeling when you return to a place you loved and find that it is just as wonderful as you remembered it. Sheraton Soma Bay Resort managed to give us another unforgettable vacation, and we returned home with many beautiful memories.
We sincerely hope this was not our last visit and look forward to coming back again.
