Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel is generally good with nice facilities and a good atmosphere, but the entertainment team was disappointing. They were too pushy, overly familiar, and sometimes too touchy, which felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. The animation was more annoying than enjoyable. The hotel should improve the professionalism of the entertainment staff
I would just like to write a review about the 24/7 hotel hospital. The medical staff was really friendly and professional and they really helped me with my stomach issues. If you have any problems visit them immediately and they will help you.
Good holiday but only because we booked excursions to get us out of the hotel for almost every day of our stay. Rooms are OK but standards of cleaning are basic, cups left dirty, floors not swept and only got bed sheets changed when we stripped the beds first. The rooms have plenty of plug sockets but only 2 actually worked and another one sparked when we tried to use it, this was apparently in one of their refurbed rooms! Lots of building work going on with constant Jack hammering and my son found glass shards and rubble on bottom off pool. The restaurants were the biggest let down; the buffet was pretty much the same thing every day and the à la carte restaurants were about the same as the buffet food except presented for you on a plate. These “restaurants” were almost impossible to book via the app as they had very limited availability and a massive let down when you do manage to get a reservation. We have been to Egypt a few times before and are very much aware that food standards are different, but this was the worst we have encountered and ended up paying extra to eat elsewhere.
This hotel seems to be a favourite for Russians and only met one other British family dusting the 2 week stay.
Our housekeeper was friendly as were the pool bar staff, that’s about the only plus I can take from this hotel.
I spent 7 nights on a solo trip at Pyramisa Beach Resort Sahl Hasheesh, and it was a fantastic experience. Right from the start, the staff was exceptionally warm and attentive, making me feel completely welcome and well taken care of as a solo traveler. The beach is absolutely beautiful, with soft sand and crystal-clear water where I spent hours unwinding. I was also really impressed by the food—always fresh, delicious, and full of variety. The animation team brought great energy to the resort with fun daily activities and evening shows, so there was always a great atmosphere without feeling overwhelming. It was the perfect week-long getaway to recharge, and I would definitely recommend it!
The Pyramisa Beach Resort Hotel in Sahl Hasheesh is a complete dump and would lucky to achieve a 3 star rating in the real world without the full scale active construction work happening.
This is a live review as my 2 young children and I checked in on Thursday 27th August for 11 nights.
As soon as you arrive at the hotel entrance, you are greeted with piles of rubble and the noise of grinders and jack hammers creating clouds of dust.
We thought we must be at the wrong hotel as I specifically checked with Lastminute.com prior to making the booking to ensure that no construction work was active.
I suffer from chronic tinnitus and hyperacusis so it was imperative to find a hotel that obviously offered some level of peace and quiet.
To our frustration the entire hotel is under construction including the entrance, main dinning hall, gardens and pool areas.
Our room was dirty with broken tiles, faulty switches and a bathroom straight out of the 80's. The room smells of damp and has an AC unit from same decade that is so noisy I can't have it on if attempting to sleep. To add to the nightmare , there are 2 massive industrial AC units outside our room that makes the whole room hum and vibrate. As a result our room is too hot and I haven't slept for 2 nights which is I feel is unacceptable.
To add to the misery, we were also informed by Lastminute.com that my kids could use the sister hotels waterside. We found out to our embarrassment that this is not the case and my kids were asked to leave. We approached the manager at Pyramisa Beach Hotel called Maher Elnady.
He started by completely denying that any construction work was taking place and even asked me to show him. As we walked out of reception we were greeted by JCB driving through the resort. Even he saw the comical side ... 🤣🤣🤣
He said he would call the V Hotel to see if he could arrange access to the watersides and reply within 2 hours. After 4 hours and no reply, I sent him a message to see what the outcome was.
This is his reply....
'Unfortunately, I checked with the V Head Management, and they are fully booked. Therefore, there is no availability for you to use the aqua park there during this period.'
Due to the stress caused I thought I'd treat myself to a spa day. I was overcharged a total of £376. When I questioned the cost I was told in a very chilling way ' Are you f***ing with me? I will not return and only want to leave this nightmare resort.
My disability has been ignored and even made fun of by the management which is unacceptable.
Having made my complaint to Lastminute.com they replied with a generic reply asking me to fill out a 10 page form before they will investigate. They even think we have already returned to the UK.
I have been completely misrepresented with this booking by Lastminute.com and have penned a letter to the CEO Alessandro Petazzi to see if he cares...
Avoid this hotel at all costs. Check the images and video if you want proof.
